The lighting is subdued, and the way it reflects off the long counter is beautiful, giving the place the feel of a good old authentic bar! On this day, I ordered a gin and tonic! The crystal clear liquid fills the glass right to the rim, with ice that catches the light! With the first sip, the tonic’s fresh bitterness and the fine sparkle of the carbonation come through, followed by the aroma of the gin spreading smoothly across the palate!

As soon as you step out of the elevator, you see a red brick wall and a large automatic mahogany door. Once inside, the place feels like a Special space. The lighting is just right, there are what seem like hundreds of liquor bottles, and a bar counter made from a single slab of wood that carries a sense of history. It really gets you right in the chest. The box seats also have a wonderful atmosphere. The natural, unforced service made it easy to relax and enjoy a calm time.

True to its identity as a bar, the lighting is calm, yet the space has a somewhat near-future and artistic feel. It is exactly the kind of place adults can immerse themselves in, with a sense of excitement within the quiet. This is a rare bar that gives a fresh perspective on the world of cocktails. Great taste is a given, and it will especially appeal to those looking for an unknown experience beyond that.

Standard cocktails like highballs and gin and tonics are also popular menu items. I ordered the gin and tonic, and it was surprisingly good. Made with five kinds of gin centered on Gordon's, with juniper berries infused into it, this gin and tonic had layered, complex flavor. Of course, they also used fresh cut lime.

It’s a lovely little bar. Talking with the master is fun too. I had a gin fizz, a martini, and the recommended corn whiskey straight. They were great. It’s very comfortable too. I’ll visit again. It was a great meal.

They introduced some recommended drinks, and every one of them was good, with a wide variety of alcohol to choose from. It was my first time trying the gin "ohoro," and it was refreshing and easy to drink! I also had Hokkaido cherries as an otoshi (small appetizer). I also had mixed nuts and orangettes, which paired well with the whiskey and tasted great.

There is no drink menu, so you tell them what you like. I went with the Otona no Apollo Choco (Adult Apollo Chocolate). It was a tasting comparison of drinks aged for 12 months on the seabed. Taste is different for everyone, but it was interesting. The bottles had seashells from the seabed stuck to them, which gave them a nicely aged look, and it was a really nice bar♪Recommended!

徳川家康の舎弟
A Japanese sake specialty bar. The owner is friendly and really knows Japanese sake inside and out. At the start, they lay out a plan like, "Let's go with this flow today," and after that you can just relax and go along with it. Before you know it, you're drinking nothing but good sake, and there are no misses at all. By the end, you leave the bar feeling great. It is of course perfect for Japanese sake lovers, but even if you are not very familiar with it, you can still come with confidence.

You can enjoy fine sake from all over Japan. Of course, they also have a wide variety from breweries in Hokkaido. Personally, I always start with Kamikawa Taisetsu and order it every time. While I’m enjoying my first drink, the otoshi (small appetizer) arrives. I always look forward to the three kinds of otoshi, which are perfect with sake. They also ask whether you want your yaragi-mizu (palate-cleansing water) with or without ice.

Walk down the stairs and open the door. Oh, what a nice atmosphere. The lighting is just right, and the wall is lined with bottles of liquor. I settled slowly into the low counter seat, and since I had come all the way to Hokkaido, I ordered Yoichi on the rocks. The bar was quiet, and the master stood by at a slight distance. That thoughtful touch felt nice too, and this is exactly what a bar should be.
