The owner's pride and joy, the gindara (sablefish) soy sauce grilled dish!! It was incredibly juicy. It might have been the best gindara I've ever had. The soy sauce seasoning was just right. The house made karasumi (dried mullet roe) daikon radish was also excellent.

I ordered sushi. The portion was very generous, and I ended up feeling really full. If you go, right when they open may be your best bet. It is reassuring to make a reservation when reservations are available.

They use Special toppings selected from all over Japan, along with carefully prepared shari (sushi rice) cooked in a hagama (traditional iron pot) and seasoned with red vinegar. They are particular about wasabi from Nakaizu and source it from contracted farmers.
The nigiri looks beautiful, and the taisho (head chef) is said to offer wonderful and attentive service.

The popular "Genbeigawa Course" is a luxurious course where you can enjoy seasonal dishes such as steamed awabi (abalone) and crab, along with live unagi shirayaki (grilled eel without sauce).
Each dish has a very refined flavor, and because they are served slowly over time, it feels very satisfying, according to reviews.
まーねずみ
The dishes ranged from sashimi to items that had an extra touch or two, and they served them while keeping an eye on our pace. I appreciated that, and everything was so good that the drinks went down easy. I did not take photos of the nigiri sushi, but the size of the shari (sushi rice) matched the toppings well and felt just right, making for a very Manzoku meal. At the end, I asked for recommendations of anything that had not come out yet, and added 3 more pieces. Wow, it was really delicious.

Fresh toppings kept coming one after another. The shirauo (icefish) soup with baby conger eel, grilled soft roe, and sashimi of shellfish were all very fresh and delicious. Then we moved on to the sushi and had local fish, tuna, and sea urchin, and left feeling very Manzoku!

We shared a maguro atama toro Rice bowl, a cheek meat and head meat steak Rice bowl, and an A la carte atama toro with ponzu sauce. Personally, I felt it was the best seafood rice bowl I’ve ever had! What impressed me most was the care put into the rice: the steak Rice bowl came with warm, freshly cooked white rice, while the atama toro Rice bowl used cooled sushi rice.

There were lots of menu items focused on maguro (tuna), but I ordered the classic Maguroya set meal! It was a set with sashimi and bincho (albacore tuna) sukiyaki, and I had never had tuna sukiyaki before, so it felt really new and exciting!

They offer a wide selection of wine and Japanese sake, and the carefully chosen deep flavors pair perfectly with sushi.
The popular nigiri-zushi (hand-formed sushi) is carefully shaped by the chefs right in front of you. The toppings, which show off skilled techniques such as kakushi-bocho (hidden knife cuts), and the mildly flavored red vinegar rice make an excellent combination.
おちびび
The meal starts with a sakizuke (small appetizer), followed by many sushi pieces made with local fish, and ends with toro-taku. They also have a wide selection of drinks centered on Japanese sake, and I was able to properly enjoy sushi and a meal for the first time in a long while after giving birth.

切り絵のえのちゃん
The sashimi of houbou (gurnard), kagokaki-dai (thread-sail filefish), and kaiwari (whitefin trevally) each had their own umami and tasted great. The Izu specialty, deep-fried kasago (rockfish) Kara-age, was fried to a nice crisp and could be eaten whole from the head, and this was tasty too. Enjoying fresh seasonal seafood made this a delicious and Manzoku food crawl today, and the drinks went down well.

This time I had the seafood set meal. It was a set with a seafood Rice bowl, aji (horse mackerel) sashimi, chawanmushi (savory egg custard), nama-shirasu (fresh whitebait), and a clear soup. The seafood Rice bowl came with tuna, egg, squid, and kanpachi (greater amberjack). The aji sashimi was fresh and tasty too.

Nama-shirasu (fresh whitebait) and sakura ebi (small pink shrimp) kakiage (mixed tempura fritter) are excellent! I had 10 pieces of nigiri sushi recommended by the chef, and 2 glasses of Black Nikka highball. I was more than full by the end! The staff service, the speed of the food coming out... I was satisfied with everything.

This sushi restaurant is so particular about its rice that they say, "Shari (sushi rice) is cuisine." The rice is excellent. From chutoro and otoro of southern bluefin tuna to kinmedai (golden eye snapper), Hokkaido uni (sea urchin), ikura (salmon roe), and more, it is pure luxury.. Every single piece is one moving bite after another. The course also includes Kagoshima Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) (A5 grade), so you will leave very Manzoku!

Daidai415
The otsumami no ate-maki (snack rolls to go with drinks) and nigiri were especially good, particularly the tuna and kinmedai (golden eye snapper). Once in your mouth, the sushi rice gently loosened apart, and everything, including the nikiri (sweet soy glaze), gave the impression of careful, precise work. For this amount of food at this price, I think the value is exceptionally good.
