This time, we had them split it half sashimi and half grilled〜. We also ordered a lot of things we wanted to eat, like kobako-gani (female snow crab) and nodoguro-yaki (grilled blackthroat seaperch). The chef across the counter explained everything clearly, and we enjoyed it all very much!! Kano-gani (snow crab from Ishikawa) sashimi was incredibly fresh and melt-in-your-mouth good〜

くりくりログ

Winter in Kanazawa is all about kani (crab)! The crab was packed with meat and very satisfying to eat. It wasn’t watery at all, and you could really taste the sweetness. In Kanazawa, a major sightseeing destination, it’s great that you can eat kani at this price! As one of Ishikawa’s winter delicacies, kani really makes you want to eat it when the season comes around!

IMOZO

For a night out in Kanazawa, Toki is the place to go. I had a crab course at my favorite spot, Toki. The crab course is available only for a limited time, from around November to around March. I splurged a little and treated myself to something a bit special. More than the crab itself being great, I was impressed by how Toki prepares crab so well. It was such a happy night that left both my heart and stomach full. The drinks were good too. The service was good too. Nothing to complain about.

みぃ〜こ(=^x^=)

I visited once before and came back because I was so impressed by the reasonably priced crab course. Seeing the blue tagged crab again got me excited all over again. Sashimi, shabu-shabu, grilled crab, zosui (rice porridge), a full course. I think I ate more than one whole crab by myself... Manzoku! Reservations are recommended. It was still as popular as ever.

yoyoyochoco

I ordered grilled crab and nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) hitsumabushi. I was happy that they removed the kani miso (crab innards) so it was easy to eat. They also brought the body meat and legs separately, so all that was left was to quietly pick the meat apart and eat it with the rice. It was rich and delicious whether I ate it as is or mixed it with the miso!

On the long awaited trip to Kanazawa (Kanazawa), I splurged on zuwaigani (snow crab) for dinner and ate a whole one for the first time. I can’t forget that texture of the shabu-shabu! The kani miso (crab tomalley) was also amazing and went so well with Japanese sake! It was pricey, but it became the best memory of the trip. I’ll come again!

The steamed crab came apart softly and had just the right seasoning when eaten with vinegar. The grilled crab came right out of the shell once cooked, and when I put it in my mouth, its sweetness spread across my palate. So good〜. Everything was of a very high level, and it was a Manzoku meal.

美味しいお酒と食事を愛する紳士

The crab in the course was delicious, and each person got to enjoy more than one whole zuaigani (snow crab). It is rare to have the crab alone fill you up like that, a Nakanaka unusual experience.

The recommendation is shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot)! I overcooked the kani miso (crab tomalley) too, so I recommend taking it off the shichirin (charcoal brazier) at the right moment. The drinks are reasonably priced, so the bill was easier on the wallet than I expected. With good access from Kanazawa Station, I think this is a place worth visiting for anyone going to Kanazawa and looking to eat something delicious‼️

We wanted to eat crab, so the two of us shared 1 Hairy Crab. It was the first time in my life I had eaten such delicious Hairy Crab ♥️ The buri (yellowtail) sashimi was also thick cut, fresh, and not greasy at all, and we were practically fighting over it between the two of us (lol) as we ate (lol). The Noto mozuku (seaweed) and nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) also had a level of taste you just cannot find in Kanto!

Wanting to try Kanazawa local cuisine along with crab and nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), I visited this restaurant where I could have it all. It was my first time trying kabura-zushi (turnip sushi), jibuni (duck stew), and kintokisou (Okinawan spinach), and all I can say is that they were delicious. The tarabagani (red king crab) I came for was more plentiful than I expected, and the nodoguro was as good as I had hoped. The staff also provided good service, and overall I was Manzoku.

Also, after I made the reservation, they separately contacted me by email to let me add kobako-gani (female snow crab), so I added it to the course. It had an atmosphere you would never expect from the outside. Rather than an izakaya (Japanese pub), it had a clean interior and furnishings more like a bar. The food and drinks may be a little pricey, but they were worth what they cost. The drinks were served in decent amounts, and the food was carefully prepared and tasty. I was also happy with the otoshi (small appetizer), which came with small portions of three different dishes.

First came the appetizer, kaki (persimmon) and kuruma ebi (Japanese tiger prawn) in shira-ae (tofu dressing). The gentle flavor really raised my hopes for the dishes to come. Next was the hassun platter, and every single item was great. By the time I finished the nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) sushi at the end, I was already satisfied. Then came the soup and the sashimi. The sashimi was fresh too, with nothing to complain about. The grilled dish was natural buri (yellowtail) yuan-yaki, a very autumn style dish. Then came the shiizakana, kobako gani (female snow crab) served in the shell. Of course it was delicious.
