Yakitori Tsukiya is a yakitori restaurant on the 10th floor of a building, a 4-minute walk from Exit B7 of Tokyo Metro Ginza Station. They serve course meals of yakitori made with Date-dori (brand chicken).
The calm interior, marked by an impressive sumi-ga (ink painting) on the ceiling, is said to be a compact space with only 14 counter seats.
Photograph:のみすきちゃん
The Date-dori (Date chicken) used here is known for its unique, almost fruity umami. It has a pleasant springy texture, and the more you chew, the more of its locked in sweetness comes through. A skilled grill master carefully cooks it over charcoal right in front of you.
Each one is grilled just right, with a fragrant outside and a tender, delicious inside.

They offer three courses at different price points depending on the contents. Every course is very filling and offers a high level of satisfaction.
One nice point is that before the To finish rice dish, you can order extra skewers, including rare cuts. As shown in the photo, you can choose as many as you like from the box yourself.
マロマッケンジー
I went with the more reasonably priced Omakase course. After the grilled items, you can add various rare cuts. *Of course, for an extra charge. Every cut looked so tempting, so I added 3 kinds. If I could, I would have liked to add about 8 kinds, but I was already full. A great restaurant all around!
Source:マロマッケンジー's review
The interior had a calm atmosphere, and the service was polite and pleasant. The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) was as good as ever, and the à la carte dishes had a refined taste. The nori (seaweed), tsukemono (pickles), uni (sea urchin), and maguro (tuna) were all especially fresh and surprisingly delicious. With the All you can eat style, we could enjoy everything to the fullest, and the 5 yakitori skewers left us completely Manzoku.

It was a course meal, but both the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and the drinks were very good!! It’s an elegant restaurant, and the staff were very kind, so it felt comfortable and we had a great time! The yakitori was delicious, of course, and they also have a wide selection of drinks including Japanese sake, with enough variety for different tastes!

Kyotanba jidori (Kyotanba free-range chicken) is firm yet surprisingly juicy, with just the right charcoal aroma and seasoning. The negima and tsukune in particular are especially well done and so good they make you pause. The recommendations for Japanese sake and wine to pair with the yakitori are spot on and really lift the overall Manzoku of the meal. The service strikes a comfortable balance, making this an easy choice for special occasions and grown-up dinners alike.

There are several kinds of courses. The most popular is the "Taka Taka Course," where you can enjoy eight kinds of yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), including "tebasaki foie gras (chicken wing stuffed with foie gras)," along with a variety of à la carte dishes.
The lunch time only "Jo Lunch Course" also seems popular for casually enjoying yakitori.

Every grilled item was juicy and packed with the good flavor of chicken. The creative dishes like tataki (lightly seared chicken), smoked items, and nanban-zuke (marinated fried dish) also had nice accents and were excellent! The hospitality at the restaurant was wonderful too, and it was a place I’d definitely like to stop by again.

The lunch-only “Hinai jidori (premium Akita chicken) Tori Mabushi,” which lets you enjoy Hinai jidori in four different ways at once, seems to be popular. It is available as A la carte or as part of a course.
After enjoying the natural flavor of the ingredients as is, you can try it with yakumi (condiments) to suit your taste. Next, eat it with the rare Hinai jidori egg yolk, and finish with chicken paitan (rich chicken broth) soup.

From Appetizers to the final course, each dish is carefully prepared and brings out the full flavor of the ingredients. In particular, rare cuts like liver and sasami (chicken tenderloin) are very tender, with just the right charcoal grilled aroma. They offer several course options. After finishing a course, you can order additional items from the à la carte menu. Some courses also come with pairings with about 300 kinds of wine.
The "【Ogi】 meibutsu tsukune (house specialty chicken meatball)," made by kneading and shaping minced meat as shown in the photo, is said to be fluffy and excellent. You can enjoy it with every course.

On top of that, the reasonable wine prices are a nice bonus…! The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) is all delicious, but my favorites are the juicy tsukune (chicken meatball skewer), yagen nankotsu (chicken breast cartilage), and tomato maki (tomato-wrapped skewer)♡I would definitely recommend this place to wine lovers.

As always, the tsukune (chicken meatball skewer) that comes out first is insanely good. When it comes to tsukune, I’ve never had a better one than the one here. Of course, the other skewers are tasty too. But this place’s biggest strength is definitely the wine! The pricing on Burgundy wines is unbelievably low. They have everything from aged bottles to young ones.

Chicken sasami (tenderloin) just as it is. No doubt about it! For the chicken liver, add sansho (Japanese pepper) if you like. Tasty with no off notes! Bonjiri (chicken tail) with black pepper. Nice and rich with fat! Nankotsu (cartilage) Kara-age with ponzu sauce. A go-to snack. Karashi mentaiko (spicy cod roe). Pop it on cucumber and take a bite. So good! Chicken skin, with the meat left as is between the skin and skin. Crispy! Tsukune (chicken meatball). Good volume, and the sauce is nice too!

They carefully grill everything over top-grade Tosa binchotan (Tosa white charcoal) from Kochi Prefecture. The counter seats offer a lively front-row view where you can watch the chefs grill right in front of you.

Every yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) is said to be excellent, packed with the chicken’s natural flavor. You can enjoy them either as a course or à la carte.
One big draw is the selection of about 300 kinds of Special wine, mainly from France. A sommelier will pair wines that go well with the yakitori.

The first skewer on the menu was listed as Hinai jidori (premium Japanese chicken) thigh, but what came out was sasami (chicken tenderloin) topped with edible chrysanthemum. It was much more tender and airy than I expected! The seseri (neck meat) was also Hinai jidori, with a nice amount of salt and a good texture. The Kyo-gamo (Kyoto duck) bonjiri (tail) had a huge hit of umami! I really loved it! I wanted another one of these.

Enjoying Hinai jidori (Hinai chicken) with perfect cooking and just the right amount of salt. The food went a little too well with the drinks this time! Thank you for the best pairing! This time we had a course meal, but you can also order à la carte, and with such a wide selection of drinks, it also works great for an After-Party or as a wine bar ◎ It is also great to nibble on some à la carte yakitori with your favorite wine.

Yakitori Garyu is on the 4th floor of a building along Azuma-dori, a 1-minute walk from Exit A5 of Tokyo Metro Ginza Station. You can enjoy charcoal grilled yakitori made with Kenmidori (Yamanashi brand chicken) from Yamanashi Prefecture.
The chic and stylish interior, based around black tones, is a small space with only 8 counter seats.

Kenmidori (chicken brand) is known for its clean taste without the off notes often associated with chicken. It is said to be tender yet pleasantly textured and juicy. They slowly grill it over Kishu Binchotan (high-grade charcoal) from Wakayama Prefecture.
A nice touch is that from every seat, you can watch the owner's skilled craftsmanship at work.

The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) are said to be excellent, cooked with just the right heat, and each skewer is large and satisfying to eat. They are so tasty that many regulars keep coming back often.
They also offer courses that include vegetable skewers and a variety of a la carte dishes. The side dishes are also very good, and the overall experience is said to be highly Manzoku.

It is a small restaurant with counter seating only, but this well-known spot lets you enjoy the careful work of its friendly taisho (chef-owner). On this day as well, I enjoyed a range of different cuts, and the grilling was perfect, with each skewer looking beautifully radiant. The meal came with 11 skewers, and to finish, chicken broth and oyako-don (chicken and egg Rice bowl), plus two kinds of dessert, which left me completely full. Everything was really delicious!

名店名品一品
The portions are on the larger side, and each cut is coated with salt, tare sauce, or soy sauce? to match the part, without putting anything unnecessary on top of the portion. It feels like a classic yakitori restaurant made for yakitori lovers. For drinks, it is shochu and Japanese sake rather than wine. They also have a wide selection of Imo Shochu, including brands often seen at yakitori places like IZURU and Sato.
