Located just a 1-minute walk from Kobe-Sannomiya Station in Kobe, Yakiniku Shabushabu Ishidaya. Kitanosaka Ten is a great spot where you can enjoy Kobe beef prepared in a range of styles, including sukiyaki, shabu-shabu, and Yakiniku.
The interior has a calm Japanese modern feel, and every room is a Private room. It is perfect when you want to relax and enjoy your meal without worrying about the people around you.

The "Kobe beef" served here is sourced from three contracted ranches in Hyogo Prefecture.
It is said to be known for a melt-in-your-mouth texture even at room temperature, along with a light and refined umami. The sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot) comes with not only plenty of beef, but also lots of vegetables and tofu.

If you want to enjoy sukiyaki in a casual way, lunch is also a good choice. Just like dinner, they use Kobe beef.
The photo shows the "Sukiyaki Set Meal." It comes with sukiyaki, a small side dish, soup, and dessert, and one nice point is that you can enjoy the sukiyaki Hot Pot at your own pace.

Sukiyaki uses plenty of high quality meat and tastes excellent. It is sure to be delicious. The staff are friendly, and the interior is neat and clean. Kanouya is a popular restaurant tucked away in a narrow back alley near Sannomiya Station in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, known for its sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with a sweet soy-based broth) made with a variety of meats.
It is housed in a nostalgic kominka-style (traditional old house style) building, and the space is said to have a warm feel, as if you were visiting a country home. Counter seats and zashiki (tatami seating) are available.
Photograph:蒲田ンゴ
One big draw is that you can enjoy not only sukiyaki made with standard Wagyu, but also game based options such as “shikaniku (venison) sukiyaki” and “aigamo (crossbred duck) sukiyaki.”
If you are not sure which meat to choose, the “Mix Sukiyaki” is a good pick. As the name suggests, it is a sukiyaki with a mix of five kinds of meat, and it seems to come with plenty of vegetables as well.
Photograph:kumag820331
The sukiyaki at this restaurant is seasoned with a grilled ago dashi (flying fish stock) base, Kagawa soy sauce, and other premium ingredients. It is popular for being lighter than typical sukiyaki.
To finish the sukiyaki, you can choose from wa-soba (Japanese soba noodles), chuka-soba (Chinese-style noodles), or zosui (rice porridge). The wa-soba ordered that day was surprisingly unique yet paired perfectly with the broth.
S.Y Nのグルメ日記
Kano-ya's signature dish is a luxurious sukiyaki made with four kinds of meat: beef, chicken, duck, and venison. The warishita (sukiyaki broth), seasoned to a very gentle taste, blends sweet and savory notes with the flavor of dashi, really bringing out the goodness of the meat. It was also nice that each type of meat offered a different taste to enjoy!

The restaurant is in a hard-to-find location, but that gives it a hideaway feel, which adds to its charm. The nice smell of nabe (Hot Pot) drifts all the way outside, giving the whole place a warm feel and making you excited just to step inside. I was dining alone, so I felt a little nervous, but the a la carte selection was extensive, and they also serve Okinawan cuisine. Next time, I definitely want to try the sukiyaki.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Sannomiya Station in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Watahan is a restaurant where you can enjoy sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with beef) made with beef sold directly from a ranch as a course meal.
The interior is said to be carefully designed, with Japanese style decorations placed throughout. Since the sukiyaki is prepared right in front of you, reviews also say it is nice that you can simply focus on the meal.
Photograph:oneone0404
The sukiyaki is served with Kyoto-style dashi (Japanese soup stock) in the Kansai style, and uses Jun-Sanda Gyu (pure Sanda beef) and Kobe Beef raised in nature-rich areas.
Jun-Sanda Gyu has a bright marbling, and when cooked, it offers a Creamy mouthfeel and rich, mellow flavor.
Photograph:95a1a8
The style at this restaurant is to eat the sukiyaki beef not only with the usual egg, but also with tororo (grated yam) made from Tanba no maruimo (round yam from Tanba).
The gentle flavor of the tororo pairs perfectly with the seasoning on the meat, and it seems to bring out the meat’s good flavor even more.
Raku888
At Watahan, I enjoyed high quality sukiyaki. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and it paired perfectly with the sweet and savory warishita (sukiyaki broth). The texture was especially amazing the moment it was dipped in egg, making it feel truly luxurious. The vegetables and tofu were also carefully prepared, and the overall balance was great. The staff provided calm and attentive service, creating an atmosphere that suited a meal for a Special occasion.

First, they grilled it with sauce and zarame satou (coarse sugar), then moved on to sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with beef and vegetables). It was so good that I honestly do not have the words to describe it. The sweetness of the sugar, the sweetness of the fat in the meat, and the savory umami of the sauce all matched perfectly and hit my brain directly. They also use Kobe beef fat.

The restaurant offers a great selection of Hot Pot dishes made with A5-grade Kobe beef and Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu), and its sukiyaki is also said to be very good.
For the sukiyaki, they first grill the meat with coarse sugar, then finish it Kyoto-style with their house-made warishita sauce and bonito dashi. You can also enjoy their shio-sukiyaki (light salt sukiyaki), which is said to have a clean, light taste.

In addition to sukiyaki, they offer a wide range of Hot Pot dishes that look perfect for warming you up, including shabu-shabu, chanko-nabe (sumo-style Hot Pot), and ishikari-nabe (salmon and miso Hot Pot).
Their most popular dish, the "Honkaku Hakata Mizutaki (authentic Hakata chicken Hot Pot)," is limited to 20 servings a day. The rich white broth, made by simmering high quality chicken, is said to be packed with dissolved collagen.

At first, the staff prepared it for us, and after that we added the ingredients ourselves as more were brought out, adjusting the flavor to our liking with sugar and dashi stock. Sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with beef and vegetables) in the dead of winter was really delicious and warmed us to the core.

This restaurant has a calm Japanese atmosphere, and with Private rooms available, you can enjoy your meal at a relaxed pace. This time, we ordered yamaimo tororo-nabe (Japanese yam grated Hot Pot) and kaki ponzu (oysters with ponzu sauce). The yamaimo tororo-nabe had a rich dashi flavor, and the mellow tororo went perfectly with the other ingredients. It also came with plenty of vegetables and meat, with a gentle taste that slowly warmed the body.

Komon, about a 1-minute walk from Sannomiya Station on the Kobe Municipal Subway, is a popular restaurant with more than half a century of history, known for sukiyaki and shabu-shabu made with Kobe beef and A5-grade beef.

The sukiyaki at this restaurant is made in the old style Kansai way, using only sugar, soy sauce, and sake without warishita sauce.
For the meat, you can choose from Special A5 beef aged with the restaurant’s own method, or Kobe beef. Skilled staff cook it for you, so you can enjoy the sukiyaki at just the right moment.
The sukiyaki made with beef in peak condition is said to be packed with care and attention that you just can’t recreate at home.
Besides the meat focused sukiyaki, they also recommend their “udon-suki (udon hotpot),” where udon takes the lead. With the delicate Kansai style dashi, you can fully enjoy the udon along with high quality chicken, seafood, and vegetables.
The sukiyaki, carefully prepared right in front of us with an excellent balance of sugar and soy sauce, felt Special. The meat was just so delicious. To finish, we had udon. Mixed with the manager's proud dashi (Japanese soup stock), it was surprisingly light at the end. It was a Manzoku experience.

Shabu-shabu starring the rare Ebisu Mochi Buta (pork) from Awajishima (Awaji Island), Hyogo Prefecture is also popular.

The sukiyaki beef was so tender it was Surprising, and honestly, it was the best. The sweetness of the negi (Japanese leek) was just right, and the shiitake mushrooms were fully soaked with flavor and packed with umami. The gobo (burdock root) went really well too, and even the fu (wheat gluten cakes) had soaked up the sauce nicely, which made them incredibly delicious! Special Kobe beef sukiyaki. The Kobe beef and the sweetness of zarame (coarse sugar) really come through, and the sauce makes that sweetness even richer. Dipped in egg, the flavor turns mild. It has the aroma of dairy cow fat and fatty meat, but it is not greasy and still has plenty of good flavor.

They use only the finest Domestic brand beef, Kobe beef, and only Special Domestic Wagyu for their sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot).
When you dip the meat simmered in the sukiyaki Hot Pot into the rich egg yolk and eat it, it gains more depth and the sweetness turns mellow. It is said to be refined and easy to enjoy.
The signature toro-yaki (grilling on a ceramic brazier) is a new style of Yakiniku where you grill ingredients on a ceramic grill and enjoy them.
The far infrared effect brings out the best flavor in the ingredients, letting you fully enjoy luxurious Special meats and vegetables such as Kobe beef and Tanba jidori (Tanba local chicken). It is also perfect for enjoying with Japanese sake or Kobe beer.

The Kobe beef, with a good balance of lean meat and marbling, is tender and melts in your mouth, and I also liked that it was not too heavy in the way Kobe beef can sometimes be. At first, the staff cooks it for you. The sukiyaki has a slightly sweet warishita sauce. But the balance is just right and does not take away from the flavor of the meat. There is also kombu kelp dashi, and pairing it with that brings out even more umami.

Today, we went with the most Casual sukiyaki course featuring Domestic beef loin. As I have gotten older, rich fatty cuts have become harder for me to enjoy, so I prefer a simple loin over heavily marbled beef. Even for 2 servings, the portion was more than enough, and the kishimen (flat wheat noodles) at the end left us Manpuku. The meat and vegetables eaten with the rich sukiyaki sauce were delicious.
