A meal enjoyed while looking out over the Sapporo cityscape from the top floor is the best. It is also nice to quietly take your time and enjoy Teppan-yaki in the daytime sunshine. Since it is during the day, you can enjoy an atmosphere that feels different from the evening. The meat was also very delicious.

・Ishikari Special A-5 100g Strip loin steak of Hokkaido Shikishima Farm kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) “Shiraoi Wagyu”
You can really feel their attention to detail in how they serve the steak, flambéing and grilling each cut in three stages depending on the part. I was happy that it came with a wide range of sauces and yakumi (condiments), so I could try different ways of eating it. Of course, it was delicious, and the pairing with red wine was perfect.

Steak & Wine Ishizaki

The popular "cold roast beef plate" is a carefully made dish that lightly sears the surface of rare Ezo Tajima Gyu (Ezo Tajima beef) and lets you enjoy the inside rare.

The naganegi (long green onion), momiji oroshi (grated daikon with chili), yakumi (condiments), and special sauce pair perfectly, and it is said to have a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The finish is surprisingly clean, and it goes perfectly with wine and Japanese sake.

The Private room counter gives the place a private feel. I was not expecting much from Teppan-yaki in Hokkaido (Hokkaido), but it was quite tasty right from the start. The roast beef here is sliced very thin and served almost rare, so it does not feel much like typical roast beef, but it is really good. The portion was just right, there were lots of drink options, and for people who enjoy alcohol, this was a very satisfying Teppan-yaki restaurant.

・Special Wagyu Strip loin steak 100g
Enjoy it with dipping sauces such as ponzu sauce, sesame sauce, and Guerande salt. It is nice that both the sauces and the salt come with citrus options. They check your preferred doneness and even tell you the timing for the flambé. Full marks for both service and performance. The marbling is beautiful, and the excess fat is trimmed away, so it does not feel heavy.

The wonderful food and performance made it a fun dinner gathering♡Everything was great, but the palate cleanser of tomato and cheese was especially memorable. Above all, the sommelier’s thoughtful and delicate hospitality made the wine taste even better, and we were very Manzoku.

The seasonings and sides that come with the Strip loin steak are also high quality and delicious. The outside of the main Strip loin steak has a crispy texture and tastes great. The meat was cooked to perfection, and even the very last bit of sauce was delicious. The staff were also very friendly and kindly walked us through the menu. It is a little pricey, but it was such a kind and warm place that I would definitely want to come back! The inside was also more spacious than I expected, and I could feel the care in how blankets and other things had already been prepared.

Yakumo-gyu (Yakumo beef) Strip loin steak Rice bowl! You can choose the sauce, but I went with the restaurant's original red wine and fond de veau sauce. The salad topped with fried liver, the miso soup, and the small dish of prosciutto were all tasty too! I finished it while adding yama-wasabi (Japanese horseradish) and myoga (Japanese ginger). I enjoyed some really good meat for the first time in a while. I'm also curious about the other dishes like Beef Tongue, Hamburger Steak, and fried shrimp. It was a great meal!

It was my first visit to Maho no Ranpu in a while. The lunch menu had gone up slightly in price. The medium-rare Top sirloin came out sizzling on the plate. I dipped it into the garlic soy sauce and ate it. The beef stew that comes with the set also had great, chunky pieces of meat. It was a quick lunch during a break from work, but it left me very full.

フレンチお姉さん

It had been a while since I last had Teppan-yaki. I enjoyed it with my favorite red wine. The Appetizers were cheese that paired well with the wine. Amazing. The chilled soup came with a little alcohol added partway through for a change of flavor. Amazing. There was a baguette, a salad with shiokombu (salted kombu kelp), and a sauce with perfect seasoning. The meat, served with their carefully selected wasabi, was excellent. The garlic rice unusually came with oba (perilla leaf). It was delicious,,,

hirosee128

The second main dish is Japanese Black Wagyu sirloin and Chateaubriand! There is no way these would not be delicious lol. It seems they use a method called rissoler, searing the sides before cooking the surface like a steak to lock in the flavor. In general, many Teppan-yaki restaurants do not do this, so this feels more like French cuisine than Teppan-yaki.

・Beef loin steak lunch
For lunch, this might be a better choice than Yakiniku. Yakiniku just naturally makes you want a beer, and then you have to hold back (though if I’m drinking, I’ll drink with steak too lol). It was a really good steak. The lean meat had a rich, deep flavor, and it was a steak with a satisfying bite.

The "Gokujō Course" is said to be a luxurious course where you can enjoy beautifully marbled roast, Tenderloin, as well as ebi (shrimp) and hotate (scallops). The fine marbling is said to give it a refined taste.

"Ishiyaki Steak" is a dish cooked on a stone plate, where the far infrared effect helps bring out the natural flavor of the ingredients without compromising it, for a juicy and tasty bite.

The restaurant also gets good reviews for dishes like "jukusei kuroge Wagyu sukiyaki (aged Japanese Black Wagyu sukiyaki)" and "dashi shabu (broth shabu-shabu)," which let you enjoy meat umami in both styles.

How about it? The size and color of the meat both look great(^.^)At first, the staff grills it for you. When you get meat of this quality, I think the proper way to eat it is medium rare. The aroma and texture of the meat are excellent. I had a great treat of delicious meat.

I was brought here for a business dinner. Both the meat and seafood were very fresh and delicious, and I had a great time. The wine by the glass was also quite good. The staff were all polite and attentive, which left a very good impression.

Popular restaurants in Hakodate, Hokkaido, where you can enjoy steak

Teppan-yaki Byumeru

This is a Teppan-yaki specialty restaurant on the 8th floor of Hakodate Kokusai Hotel Nishikan, about an 8-minute walk from Hakodate Station on the JR Hakodate Main Line.

It faces the waterfront and sits in a good spot for sightseeing in Hakodate. There are 10 counter seats in total and 1 Private room, making it a high-quality space that is also recommended for meals on Special days.

They carefully select seasonal ingredients, including Shiraoi Wagyu, a Japanese Black breed raised in Hokkaido’s pure water and natural surroundings, as well as Ezo awabi (Ezo abalone) and vegetables from Hokkaido.

They grill these premium ingredients in a dynamic style to bring out their natural flavors.

Lunch and dinner are served as course meals, and the steaks are popular for bringing out the full flavor of the ingredients with perfectly judged cooking.

Another draw is the live feel of seeing the dishes finished right in front of you. The wine pairing, which makes the meal even more enjoyable, is also well received.

We ate at the counter while watching the cooking. The food and the staff were both excellent! They make the most of the ingredients and prepare everything with great care and thought. The way each dish was handled and presented was beautiful, and both the head chef and the sommelier were wonderful and great to talk to. The 2 hours flew by, and it was a very Manzoku meal.

I chose the Shiraoi beef tenderloin, and it had a great balance of fat and lean meat, so it was rich without being too heavy and was very tasty. I had also requested a dessert plate at the end, and I was happy that they decorated it so nicely. With seats offering a great view, it made for a memorable and wonderful birthday.

The owner was very friendly, and the meat he served while chatting with us was really delicious. The beer came in a tumbler, perfect with the carefully selected meat. I’ll be back again.
