"Sushi Tadashi" is a sushi restaurant by reservation only where you can enjoy careful Edomae-zushi (Edo-style sushi) paired with drinks. The interior has a warm atmosphere with the natural feel of wood.
You can enjoy delicious sushi, with skillfully made shari (sushi rice) matched with Special seafood.
The restaurant’s signature menu item is this unagi (eel) sushi, which is said to be very popular. It is made using an unusual cooking method called aburani (oil simmering) rather than grilling.
The special sauce combines unagi trimmings, soy sauce, and egg yolk, and it is said to go perfectly with the vinegared rice.

They say the awabi (abalone) is carefully prepared over the course of a full day. Not only is the taste excellent, but people also love the luxurious experience of enjoying a large awabi just as it is.
They also offer a wide lineup of Japanese sake that pairs well with sushi, with selections changing by season.

Being served by such wonderful staff is part of what makes it so special. The dashi (Japanese soup stock) they bring out at the start already wins you over. The octopus has an amazing tenderness. Then come the seasonal nigiri (hand-formed sushi). Every topping is carefully prepared and comes together with the shari (sushi rice), turning 1 + 1 into 3 or even 10.

As expected, this is a place where you can feel Manzoku with every dish from start to finish, from the small plates to the nigiri (hand-formed sushi). I only feel more grateful that I can enjoy sushi at this level in this price range. The variety of dishes is also wide, and the order is well planned, so the meal never feels repetitive or tiring.

Sushi Morinari is a restaurant where you can enjoy sushi made with seasonal ingredients and Edomae-style (traditional Tokyo-style sushi) techniques. Modern paintings decorate the interior, giving it a polished hideaway feel.
The toppings are said to be large, and the courses are known to be highly satisfying.

The "madai (Sea Bream)" uses thick cuts of firm fish. This nigiri sushi stands out for its fresh sweetness and clean finish.
The more you chew, the more its refined flavor spreads across your mouth, and it seems to pair very well with the sushi rice.

The “hotate (scallop),” made with one whole large piece of topping, is a sushi that could be called the restaurant’s specialty. It has a substantial presence and strong sweetness, letting you really taste the hotate itself.
One of the charms of Edomae-zushi (Tokyo-style sushi) is the careful prep work that shows off the chef’s skill.

This is sushi done right and with real flair! I was blown away by nigiri that felt almost powerful, something you would never expect from the chef’s gentle demeanor. I was so happy to spend such a wonderful time here. Thank you♪

I had been curious about this place for a while, and I finally managed to get a reservation, so I visited. The interior was very clean and refined. The sushi was even more filling than I expected, and every piece of neta (topping) was very good, so I was very Manzoku. It is hard to get a reservation, but I would definitely like to visit again.

Tsukiji Sushi Omakase is a sushi restaurant where you can enjoy aged fish prepared using a preservation method called Tsumoto-shiki (Tsumoto method). You can try sushi that blends traditional Edomae-style techniques with new ideas.
The interior has a stylish Japanese feel, and they say you can take your time and fully enjoy the sushi.

One of the popular dishes included in the course is nama-saba no smoke nigiri (hand-formed smoked raw mackerel sushi). It has a striking look and lets you enjoy the aroma of the smoke.
This dish has also drawn reviews saying you can enjoy an unusual flavor and texture unlike anything they had tried before.
The “Niawabi no Kimo Sauce” is a carefully crafted signature dish made without using any seasonings other than sake. The abalone is simmered for a long time, and they season it using only the natural saltiness of the awabi (abalone).
They also recommend adding shari (sushi rice) to the leftover liver sauce and finishing it like a risotto.
碑文谷亭
The nigiri is on the smaller side. The shari (sushi rice) is slightly firm, with distinct grains. The vinegar is used lightly. Many of the neta (toppings) are aged, and the aging is done well. There are some fun touches too, like the smoked saba (mackerel) nigiri, which is covered with a glass cloche-like lid and smoked for about 3 minutes right in front of the guest to add aroma.

The seating area was quiet, and voices from nearby tables did not carry too much, so it was easy to talk even in a large group. The pace of service stayed steady, and even with 9 people, dishes arrived without delays or mismatched timing. Sushi Nakamura is a popular sushi restaurant in Tsukiji where the owner personally goes to Toyosu Market every morning to source ingredients. You can enjoy dishes that blend delicate technique with fresh ideas.
The interior has a Japanese modern atmosphere, and the restaurant also has fully private rooms.

The amaebi (sweet shrimp) is said to have a plump, springy texture. It comes with miso, which adds a rich, deep flavor.
For the shari (sushi rice), they use a blend of two kinds of vinegar: akazu (red vinegar) and rice vinegar.
Photograph:もぜりん
The madai (Sea Bream) pairs well with the fragrant sesame sauce. Because Sea Bream has a mild flavor, the sesame sauce complements it nicely.
The more you chew, the more the Sea Bream’s natural flavor comes through, and it is said to have a clean finish.

I ordered the 18:00 visit only Omakase 12-piece nigiri course (JPY13,200). In addition to sushi, it also comes with a roll, grilled fish, chawanmushi (savory egg custard), and a soup bowl. The shari (sushi rice) is modest in size and easy to eat, and the friendly taisho (head chef) carefully prepares each piece.

It is said to have a melt in your mouth texture, with a sweetness in the fat that comes through.
The uni (sea urchin) is said to let you fully enjoy its rich, full-bodied flavor. It has no off notes, only pure umami.
Among the many types of sushi, this is one that stands out for its freshness, and many reviews say it left a lasting impression.

It was my first time ever in Tsukiji (famous fish market district in Tokyo). Since that was the case, I wanted to go to a sushi place that really felt like Tsukiji, so I chose Hidetoku. Tsukiji Aozora Sandaime Honten is a well-regarded restaurant where you can enjoy sushi based on traditional Edomae-zushi (traditional Edo-style sushi), prepared by chefs who honed their skills in Tsukiji.

The moist-textured "honmaguro akami (lean bluefin tuna)" is served marinated. When you put it in your mouth, you can really taste its nice aroma.
The shari (sushi rice) is finished with red vinegar, and each grain stands out.

The large kuruma ebi (tiger prawn) is served cooked to a medium-rare finish. The topping is so big it hides the shari (vinegared sushi rice), and its thick flesh makes it very satisfying to eat.
They use high quality shrimp with a sweetness that comes out more and more as you chew.
なおき い.
The shari (sushi rice) had a nicely balanced acidity and temperature that brought out the flavor of the toppings. I visited last month, and it was so good that I came back again this month. More than anything, the itamae (Japanese chef) and staff are very friendly and easy to talk to. Tsukiji Sushi Yamaji is a sushi restaurant said to source from Yamaji, a well-known nakoroshi (intermediate wholesaler) in Toyosu, and it is a 5-minute walk from Toyosu Station. Founded in 1958, this long-established restaurant is located in the Tsukiji Outer Market.
Another draw is that you can enjoy pairings of sake and tea that go well with the sushi.

They use lightly seasoned shari (vinegared sushi rice) to match the fresh akami (lean meat), which has a rich flavor.

Counter seating only. Square stools. The plates are said to be Imari-yaki (Imari ware). Lovely! Every piece of freshly made sushi was so good it made me groan with delight. The shari (sushi rice) is small and made with red vinegar. The tsukidashi (small appetizer) was also nice. The chutoro (medium fatty tuna) was so tender it melted in my mouth without chewing. The sushi toppings are, above all, simply outstanding. Tuna, Sea Bream, ikura (salmon roe), chutoro (medium fatty tuna)... every piece is exceptionally fresh, and with each bite, it somehow tastes even better than the last. The quality easily feels worth more than the price, so I couldn't help ordering more. The seasonal nigiri were buri toro (fatty yellowtail) and buri (yellowtail). Then there were lean tuna, salmon gunkan, kanpachi (greater amberjack), and even maguro kushi (tuna skewer). I especially liked the aburi warasa (seared Japanese amberjack) and natural shima-aji (striped jack), and even the tamago had a gentle sweetness and a soft, tasty texture. When I arrived at 12:00, the place was already full, and I saw a few people being turned away. It really made me glad I had made a reservation in advance.

Tachigui Sushi Masa is a tachigui-zushi (standing sushi bar) run by a fish wholesaler, with a casual atmosphere that makes it easy to stop by. It is a place where you can enjoy fresh seafood, and the maguro (tuna) in particular is said to be especially well regarded.
People say the careful craftsmanship makes it a popular spot for casually enjoying high quality sushi.
The “maguro-zukushi nigiri (assorted tuna nigiri)” comes with 8 pieces, including akami (lean tuna), chutoro (medium fatty tuna), and otoro (fatty tuna). This is a plate that lets you taste the deep appeal of tuna, and it is one of the menu items many people order.

The "Kani Kora no Gratin" lets you enjoy creamy white sauce and the flavor of crab. By baking it in the shell, it takes on a nice toasted aroma.
It comes with macaroni and onions, making it a highly satisfying menu item.

A luxurious set of 8 pieces crafted by a master who knows maguro (tuna) inside and out. You can really experience the deep range of flavors maguro has to offer. The lean tuna had a moist, delicate texture, with rich flavor that spread with each bite. The chutoro (medium fatty tuna) had just the right amount of fat, and its soft melt-in-your-mouth feel was irresistible.

Each piece had its own standout character, and every one felt like the star of the show. It was a too-luxurious “fish journey” that let us feel the deep appeal of maguro (tuna)! A famous Tsukiji restaurant where you can savor the sea, and one you’ll want to dock at again⚓️✨

The "shiro-ebi (white shrimp) Kara-age" is said to have a light, crispy texture that makes it perfect as a snack with drinks. It has a refined, rich sweetness that pairs very well with alcohol.
Cooking it brings out a concentrated shrimp flavor.

The nigiri rice had just the right amount of akazu (red vinegar), and each piece was about the same size as the topping, just enough to hide underneath it. All of the staff were also very pleasant, so I had a great time enjoying the sushi!

ときどき東京
The otoshi (small appetizer) was tsubugai (whelk) in the shell. It was delicious♥️I happily gulped down my drink with hotaru-ika no okizuke (soy-marinated firefly squid) as a snack! I ordered the sushi A la carte! The kohada (gizzard shad) was cured in the old style, giving it that classic kohada taste. The tekka-maki (tuna roll) also had a nice flavor from the nori!
