Tokyo Niku Shabuya

Tokyo Niku Shabuya is located about a 3-minute walk from Higashi-Shinjuku Station, along Shokuan-dori Street. Here you can enjoy dishes made with rare Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef).

Even though it stands on a busy street, the calm Japanese style exterior makes it easy to spot. The restaurant has counter seating only, and its attentive service is also well regarded.

This is one of the few places in Japan where you can enjoy Tajimaguro (premium Tajima beef), a top brand raised under an integrated system from breeding to fattening.

You can try dishes that bring out the appeal of Tajimaguro, known for its rich flavor and fat that melts lightly on the tongue.

The broth used for the shabu-shabu is cold-brewed by soaking kombu kelp in natural water for a long time. This rich broth is said to pair perfectly with Tajimaguro.

They pay close attention not only to the meat, but also to the vegetables served alongside it, and even list the production region and producer of the vegetables offered that day.

Tokyo Niku Shabuya is the place to go to soak in flavor on a whole different level! The rich umami of Tajimaguro (Japanese Tajima beef) is overwhelming! Every dish brings out the meat's flavor perfectly! The atmosphere is great too! Everything is spot on! Every visit leaves you feeling happy!

The kombu dashi made by cold infusing natural ma-kombu (broad kelp) and Special Rishiri kombu kelp for 18 hours in natural water from Shirakami Sanchi (Shirakami Mountains) is rich yet surprisingly clean, bringing out the full umami of the meat. The shabu-shabu, enjoyed with aged ponzu sauce, house-made sesame sauce, and salt, lets you enjoy a different side with each option, so it never gets old until the very last bite.

Niku Kappo Niku Kabuku

Nikukappo Nikukabuku is located on the second floor of Hotel Siena on Kuyakusho-dori, about a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station. Centering on kuroge wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu), you can enjoy a wide variety of dishes.

The interior has a refined and upscale feel. They also have lively counter seats and spacious Private rooms.

The specialty here is a course made with premium ingredients, created by a chef who has honed his skills overseas in places such as Asia and Europe.

There is also a course that includes a shabu-shabu style dish combining seasonal vegetables and Wagyu with dashi (Japanese soup stock). The restaurant is known for serving highly creative dishes.

They also offer a course centered on Special Wagyu Strip loin shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot). It is said to let you enjoy the delicate umami of the dashi broth and the fine fat of the meat.

The restaurant has a wine cellar inside. They stock a wide range of wines, and you can also receive service from a sommelier.

If you love shabu-shabu, the Miyazaki-gyu (Miyazaki beef) shabu-shabu course is not to be missed. The three kinds of Appetizers are also nice. The main shabu-shabu comes with a generous 150g per person. The miso-style ponzu I tried for the first time paired perfectly with the richly sweet meat and vegetables. I asked for a refill of the miso-style ponzu midway through the meal. To finish, I had slightly sweet tsukimi tororo udon (udon with egg and grated yam).

まめ豆.

This refined nikukappo (Japanese meat kaiseki) restaurant changed my whole idea of meat. Special Wagyu is served as ozukuri (sashimi-style preparation), shabu-shabu, aburi (lightly seared), and in many other cooking styles, almost like a full course meal. The delicate dashi broth and sauces bring out the meat’s natural flavor to the fullest, and the beautiful assortment and presentation are stunning. In its calm setting, this is a place for adults to enjoy a top-class meat experience.

Okaka Shinjuku

Okaka Shinjuku is on the 8th floor of a building near the Kabukicho intersection, with easy access from the east side of Shinjuku Station. The restaurant centers on dashi broth made from katsuobushi (bonito flakes), a traditional Japanese ingredient.

The interior has a calm, Japanese modern feel. There are many spacious box seats, and it also has Private rooms.

Katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes) is made by smoking, drying, and aging katsuo (skipjack tuna). It is also known as the hardest food in the world, and it can be shaved thin to make dashi (soup stock) or eaten as is in thin shavings.

There are several shabu-shabu courses where you can enjoy kurobuta (Berkshire pork), and the course with unlimited fresh vegetable refills is especially popular.

The star of the shabu-shabu here is the dashi broth. Made with freshly shaved katsuobushi (bonito flakes), the broth is said to be packed with umami even on its own.

As you continue enjoying the shabu-shabu, you can add more freshly shaved katsuobushi partway through, and people seem to love that you can enjoy the spreading aroma again and again.

旅の柴犬

Instead of ponzu sauce or sesame sauce, you dip the meat and vegetables into a rich dashi (Japanese soup stock) packed with umami, and surprisingly, you never get tired of it. The process of making the broth even richer with oi-gatsuo (extra bonito) also feels luxurious, and part of the appeal is that you can enjoy every last drop. Of course the meat is great, but one thing you should definitely try is the vegetables after they have soaked up plenty of the dashi.

CYSO01

It’s one of my favorite places because you can spend time here very comfortably. Best of all, the food is very good. Every dish is full of dashi (Japanese soup stock), and it feels like I won’t be able to go back to regular shabu-shabu after this.. My friend’s son (2nd grade elementary school) seemed to really love the dashi despite its mature taste, and he got so excited saying, "It’s the most delicious in the world!" so I’m glad we brought him here lol

Ikesu Mumon Shinjuku

Ikesu Mumon Shinjuku is located in Kabukicho 2-chome along Hanamichi-dori, with easy access from Seibu-Shinjuku Station. It mainly serves seafood dishes, but you can also enjoy meat shabu-shabu.

One of its features is a large fish tank where live fish swim. The counter seats look out over the fish tank, and it also has Private room zashiki (tatami room) seating with a sense of privacy.

Shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot) is also available A la carte, and there are courses that pair it with fugu (blowfish) dishes and fresh seafood sashimi.

For the Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) shabu-shabu, some options use the branded Yamagata-gyu (Yamagata beef). It is said to let you fully enjoy the rich flavor of the meat.

They also serve kurobuta (Berkshire pork) shabu-shabu, with options ranging from Japanese-style dashi broth to soup with a Chinese-style flavor for swishing the meat through.

The shabu-shabu comes with a mountain of lettuce, plus ramen or soba to finish, so you can enjoy the soup packed with umami to the very last bite.

希由塚

The Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) shabu-shabu features beautifully marbled meat, and each slice is large. When you give it a quick swish in the pot and eat it, the meat is very tender and full of rich flavor. There are two kinds of dipping sauces, a homemade wasabi-oroshi tare (grated wasabi sauce) and ponzu, but I preferred the ponzu because the dashi came through nicely and let me taste the meat’s flavor more directly.

Happy OL Hour

The quality of the ultra-fresh seafood dishes is very high, including the crystal-clear oyogi ika (live squid), and guests can also enjoy a wide variety of course meals such as funamori (boat-shaped sashimi assortment) and kurobuta (Berkshire pork) and Wagyu shabu-shabu. In addition, the staff is attentive and courteous, making for a dinner experience with both class and comfort that suits business entertainment, special occasions, Banquets, and other Special evenings.

Shabu-Shabu Niimura Honten

Shabu Shabu Niimura Honten is a specialist restaurant for shabu-shabu and sukiyaki, located near Seibu-Shinjuku Station and close to the Godzilla Head. It is open from lunch until late at night, so you can also visit at a later hour.

The modern interior is lined with table seating, and it also has a Private room that can accommodate around 15 people.

Their signature shabu-shabu lets you enjoy it with either Kuroge Wagyu or kurobuta (Berkshire pork) from Kagoshima Prefecture. Depending on the season, they also offer crab shabu-shabu.

The goma dare (sesame sauce) that you coat the meat with after dipping it in the broth takes about 6 hours to make, and it pairs perfectly with the meat.

There is also an All you can eat shabu-shabu course where you can eat as much Domestic beef, Domestic pork, vegetables, rice, and more as you like. It is popular because you can keep eating plenty by changing up the flavors with goma-dare (sesame sauce) and ponzu sauce.

Available only during weekday lunch hours, you can casually enjoy shabu-shabu as a set with rice.

こん_こん_こん

When it comes to shabu-shabu in Kabukicho, it has to be Niimura! The quality of the meat is high, and you can really taste its rich flavor. This time we had kurobuta (Berkshire pork) and crab. We also ordered tessa (thin-sliced fugu sashimi) à la carte, and it was surprisingly delicious. With its calm interior and polite service, this well-known restaurant works for all kinds of occasions.

I had kurobuta (Berkshire pork) shabu-shabu~! It really is as good as ever. Of course the quality is great, but it also has a strong umami flavor that never gets old! The sesame sauce here is also so good, and it goes perfectly with the kurobuta ^ - ^ I heard the sesame sauce is Homemade every day♪ I found myself thinking, can sesame sauce with absolutely no additives really taste this good?!

Tsukitei Shinjuku Honten

Tsukitei Shinjuku Honten is a Japanese restaurant about a 5-minute walk from Seibu-Shinjuku Station. Even though it is in lively Kabukicho, you can enjoy your meal in a calm Japanese-style setting.

The interior incorporates sukiya-zukuri (traditional tea-house-style architecture), the architectural style used for tea rooms. It also has pure Japanese-style Private rooms, where you can enjoy a classic Japanese atmosphere.

You can enjoy Hida-gyu (Hida beef), a kuroge wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) raised for at least 14 months in Gifu Prefecture. This Wagyu is known for its clean taste.

When served as shabu-shabu, in a golden broth made with chicken stock, it is said to bring out the full flavor of the Wagyu. You can enjoy it with a dipping sauce accented with wasabi.

Even on courses centered on shabu-shabu (Japanese hot pot), the meal also comes with Appetizers of delicate dishes that value the sense of seasonality unique to Japanese cuisine.

At lunchtime, they also offer a "shabu-shabu gozen (set meal)," which is well liked because you can casually enjoy it in an individual Hot Pot.

いっぱい食べるネキ

This is a calm restaurant that feels nothing like Shinjuku Kabukicho. I enjoyed elegant washoku (Japanese cuisine). Everything was delicious. Personally, I got hooked on the combination of shabu-shabu and wasabi sauce because it tasted so good. The fresh kick of the wasabi seemed to balance out the richness of the meat fat. This is seriously addictive〜

I asked for a course meal at Tsukitei for the first time in a while, and I enjoyed it so much‼️Starting with fugu (pufferfish) sashimi, then ise-ebi (spiny lobster) and Kuroge Wagyu shabu-shabu, and even the To finish ochazuke (rice with tea poured over it), everything was incredibly delicious✨Maybe because I booked a Private room, we could enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace, and most of all I was glad we could celebrate the two people✨✨

Kurobuta Shabu-Shabu Shimazu

Kurobuta Shabu Shabu Shimazu is a shabu-shabu specialty restaurant located in the basement of a building on the corner of the Shinjuku 4-chome intersection. The restaurant also offers All you can eat and All you can drink plans.

The Japanese modern interior features mostly Private room seating. In addition to table Private rooms for small groups, there are also tatami seating areas with Sunken kotatsu seating for groups.

The specialty Kagoshima Kurobuta (Berkshire pork from Kagoshima) is known for its rich sweetness and tender texture, thanks to being raised in abundant nature on a diet of sweet potatoes.

In addition to kurobuta loin and pork belly, they also offer a shabu-shabu course where you can enjoy branded beef as well. The “Buta Tsukune” made with ground pork is also popular.

A key feature here is that you can dip the meat in dashi broth, then coat it in soba-tsuyu (buckwheat noodle dipping sauce), the same sauce used for eating soba, and enjoy it that way. Along with ponzu sauce and sesame sauce, you can also enjoy changing up the flavors.

The All you can eat plan with All you can drink is perfect for group meals, and they also offer an easy shabu-shabu set meal at lunchtime.

大蛇丸0911

I wanted to eat some good shabu-shabu, so I made a reservation for the 2-hour All you can drink course⏰The style here was to eat kurobuta (Berkshire pork) belly with sesame sauce/ponzu sauce and kombu kelp broth. At first glance it looks fatty, but it was milky and not heavy at all, and the lean meat had a pleasantly chewy texture and tasted great too! Not only was it tasty, but it was also great value, so it was fantastic

Source:大蛇丸0911's review

The shabu-shabu, made by quickly swishing Kagoshima-produced kurobuta (Berkshire pork) in soba dipping broth, had a rich aroma and deep umami and was excellent. Since it was a fully private room with Sunken kotatsu seating, I could enjoy the meal in a calm setting, and the Appetizers and vegetables were fresh and nicely balanced. It also paired well with Japanese sake and shochu, making this a great spot for a meal with friends or a slightly indulgent night out.

Shaburaku Tei Kabukicho Ten

Shaburakutei Kabukicho Ten is located about a 5-minute walk from Seibu-Shinjuku Station. Its concept is that even one person can enjoy delicious shabu-shabu.

The interior has a warm and calm space with a brick-style design, and the tables are arranged so that every seat can be set with an individual Hot Pot.

The chef of the popular French restaurant "Gourmandise" supervises the menu. The sesame sauce and ponzu sauce that bring out the flavor of the shabu-shabu are also well liked.

The shabu-shabu, which lets you enjoy both Domestic beef and Domestic pork, is popular. They are particular about the quality of the meat, and even though it is thinly sliced, you can still really taste its rich flavor.

One nice feature is that each person gets their own Hot Pot, so even when you visit with friends or family, everyone can enjoy the type of Hot Pot they want.

You can enjoy your favorite Hot Pot dishes such as shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, and hinuabe (Chinese spicy hot pot), and there are also All you can eat and All you can drink courses available.

ワクワクアロハ

The Wagyu has the perfect amount of marbling. Once you swish it in the pot, the color quickly changes, and it turns so tender and tasty that you could keep eating slice after slice. The pork is also made with a Domestic branded pork. Comparing it with the beef lets you appreciate how good both kinds of meat are. Dip them in sesame sauce or homemade ponzu sauce, and you will feel so happy.

My friend ordered the beef and pork suki-shabu. This one comes with vegetables, and you cook it shabu-shabu style in a rich soup similar to warishita. The marbling on the beef was as beautiful as in sukiyaki, and the pork also looked tasty with a nice sweetness. In fact, my friend seemed quite Manzoku with it.

Hitori Shabu-Shabu Nanaidaime Matsugoro Shinjuku Toho Biru Ten

Hitori Shabu-Shabu Shichidaime Matsugoro Shinjuku Toho Biru Ten is located on the first floor of Shinjuku Toho Building, home to the Godzilla Head, a landmark in the Shinjuku area. You can enjoy customizable shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot here).

The stylish interior has counter seats only. Another plus is that you can stop by at any time from lunch through dinner.

The theme is “hitori shabu-shabu (single-person shabu-shabu) that’s just right for me.” You can choose the portion size of the meat and vegetables in S, M, or L, and pick from beef, pork, or chicken.

You can enjoy it with plenty of meat or plenty of vegetables, and since you can freely add rice or ramen, it’s also popular because you can match it to how hungry you are.

Ramu Shabu Kin no Me Shinjuku Ten

Lamb Shabu Kin no Me Shinjuku Ten is a shabu-shabu specialty restaurant on the 3rd floor of a building on the Kaku of the Shinjuku Gochome Higashi intersection. You can also enjoy lamb shabu-shabu here.

The interior has a simple design, and they will arrange tables based on your party size. They also have Semi-private room seating.

There are multiple reviews saying that the lamb shabu-shabu is so tasty that even people who did not like lamb could enjoy it.

A popular menu option lets you compare three kinds of meat: lamb, Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu), and Domestic pork. They also offer a soy meat vegan shabu-shabu.

You can choose 2 kinds of soup, including rich options like spicy mala and cloudy paitan (white broth). Another nice point is that, for an extra charge, you can make your own original dipping sauce with special tare sauce and yakumi (condiments).

The set comes with shabu-shabu lamb, and it is also recommended to place it on nigiri-zushi-style rice and enjoy it that way.

事業家集団を愛する古畑征志

This completely changed my idea of lamb. The meat is sliced paper-thin, and you can eat it after just a quick dip in hot water. It had surprisingly no distinctive flavor or off notes at all, and it went perfectly with the special soy sauce-based tare (sauce), so I could have kept eating it forever. The sauce had a slightly Western touch, or rather a rich depth that made it seriously addictive.

This authentic yakuzen (medicinal herb) Hot Pot comes with two kinds of soup, one with pleasantly numbing mala spice and one with the gentle taste of paitan broth, and both are packed with plenty of yakuzen ingredients. When you quickly swish the thinly sliced lamb in the pot for a few seconds, it turns tender and light, and the Hot Pot soup coats the meat perfectly!! It is also delicious to place it on a tawara-gata (straw-bale-shaped) rice ball, sprinkle it lightly with wasabi salt, and eat it like sushi!

Beishin

Kome-shin is a restaurant about a 2-minute walk from Seibu-Shinjuku Station, near the Shinjuku City Office. It has been serving mainly shabu-shabu and sukiyaki for more than 50 years.

Amid the many flashy dining spots, it offers a calm space. There are table seats and tatami-mat zashiki (Japanese-style floor seating) seats.

Because it used to be a butcher shop, it has a reputation for serving high quality meat. You can choose either the Premium Kuroge Wagyu or the Domestic beef "Matsu."

For the shabu-shabu, they bring the broth to a boil in a traditional special pot, then add vegetables and beef to enjoy. The meat is tender, and you can eat plenty of vegetables too.

Sukiyaki, in which vegetables and beef are arranged in an iron pot and simmered in a sweet and savory sauce, is also popular. For the Hot Pot dishes, you can also add kurobuta (Berkshire pork) or noodles for an extra charge.

With only about 27 seats and many repeat customers, it is best to make a reservation.

sakatake03

After eating about half the vegetables, it was time for the main meat! I swished the beef in the pot and dipped it generously in goma-dare (sesame sauce), and it was melt-in-your-mouth tender and delicious! Each slice is large, so it feels satisfyingly substantial too. I usually only make buta-shabu (pork shabu-shabu) at home, so it had been a while since I last had beef shabu-shabu, and it was really delicious.

K’real

For sukiyaki and shabu-shabu, this is without a doubt No.1 in Kabukicho. That said, it does not feel too formal, and you can easily use it like an izakaya (Japanese pub). There is also a wide variety of other menu items, and every one of them is good. From basashi (horse sashimi) to fried dishes and all kinds of other food, everything is tasty and reasonably priced, so I come here often.

Shabu-shabu Kushiyaki Shinjuku inton

Shabu Shabu Kushiyaki Shinjuku inton is an izakaya located in the basement of a building next to the Shinjuku Post Office by the West Exit of Shinjuku Station. The restaurant is particular about its pork dishes.

The space is said to be based on the fairy tale "The Three Little Pigs." The cozy interior, made with wood and brick, is also decorated with pig motifs.

They use Joshu Tokoton Buta (Joshu Tokoton pork), raised in Gunma Prefecture. This pork is known for its tender texture and deep flavor.

The "Gokujo Yuki Negi Shabu Hot Pot," made with plenty of finely shredded green onions and pork, is simple but packed with umami, and people also praise the special broth for being delicious.

The menu is also full of options like spare ribs made with carefully selected pork, ajillo, and grilled skewers. They also offer courses centered on shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot), where you can enjoy other pork dishes as well.

They also have a wide selection of drinks that pair well with pork dishes, and you can even have a meal gathering with All you can drink.

snusm513

The main dish, the pork and green onion shabu-shabu Hot Pot, comes piled high with green onions—in fact, the only vegetable is green onions. Joshu Tokoton Buta (Joshu Tokoton pork) is really tasty. The broth is a simple dashi-based one, but it matched the flavor of the pork perfectly and was very good. A little soba came out later to finish the meal. You quickly boil it in the pot after the pork shabu-shabu and eat it.

Very filling. The Hot Pot also comes with plenty of negi (green onion), and it tastes great when you wrap it with the meat and eat it. It was good to add yuzu kosho (yuzu pepper paste) to the broth and dip it in. The soba also paired well and was tasty. Personally, I liked the salad dressing. The pork skewer was juicy, and even one skewer was Manzoku. A restaurant with great value for money!

Kin no Dashi Shabu Hachiuma Shinjuku Honten

Kin no Dashi Shabu Hachiuma Shinjuku Honten is a shabu-shabu specialist near the building with the Godzilla Head, a Shinjuku landmark. It is tucked away in the basement of a building in lively Kabukicho, giving it a hidden gem feel.

The interior has a calm Japanese-style atmosphere, with counter seats and Private room seating as well.

The restaurant’s name, Kin no Dashi, refers to its golden clear dashi broth packed with umami, made with kombu kelp from Hokkaido. Their signature dish is shabu-shabu, which pairs this broth with thin slices of Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef).

It has a refined taste, and even the large slices of meat go down easily.

They also serve sukiyaki with A5-rank Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) paired with uni (sea urchin). If you want to enjoy a richer flavor, the sukiyaki comes recommended.

They also offer yakuzen hibiki (medicinal herb hot pot), a Hot Pot made with spices and ingredients also used in yakuzen (traditional herbal cuisine). It seems you can enjoy any of the hot pot dishes with All you can eat and All you can drink included as well.

kei37287

Just like the name suggests, the carefully crafted kin no dashi (golden broth) is refined and deep, and with just one bite, the quality of the ingredients really stands out. The A5-ranked Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) has beautifully fine marbling, and dipping it in the broth keeps the sweetness of the fat from feeling too rich, so I enjoyed it all the way to the end without getting tired of it.

Source:kei37287's review

The broth is not too strong, so you can fully enjoy the flavor of both the vegetables and the meat, and it is nice that it does not feel heavy even as you keep eating. Both the pork and beef are tender, and dipping them in the broth brings out their umami. The pork in particular has a light feel on the palate, and it goes down so smoothly with the broth that I could not stop reaching for the next bite.

Private room izakaya Suigetsu Shinjuku Ten

"Koshitsu Izakaya Suigetsu Shinjuku Ten" is an izakaya on the 4th floor of a building near the Kabukicho Ichibangai Arch. Its main specialty is kushiyaki (grilled skewers) cooked over charcoal until nicely fragrant, and you can also enjoy shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot).

It also offers Semi-private room table seating for casual visits, as well as Private rooms with a more private feel.

Shabu-shabu uses high quality pork as the standard. When you swish the pork through the house special dashi (Japanese soup stock), you can really taste the pork’s natural sweetness and tenderness.

You can also choose shabu-shabu with beef or Beef Tongue, and there is also an All you can eat plan. They say the quality of every meat is clear.

The signature "yasai-kushi (vegetable skewers)" are made by wrapping vegetables such as negi (green onion) and tomato in pork or bacon, then skewering them. There are many different variations, so choosing is part of the fun.

Popular options also include an All you can eat yakitori plan, as well as a plan where you order your favorite dishes à la carte and add All you can drink.

ぽむはぴ

The beef shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot) I ordered as the main dish had high-quality meat that was so tender it seemed to melt the moment it hit my mouth. It came with a very generous amount of vegetables, and I even felt like I might want to order extra meat? That was about the portion size!(^O^)It also paired well with the ponzu sauce, with the sweetness of the fat and the savory flavor spreading in a nice balance.

Source:ぽむはぴ's review

It was close to the station, easy to get to, and I had no trouble finding it. The Private room was comfortable, which made it nice to relax and enjoy the meal. The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) came in a wide variety, and I liked the light seasoning. The shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot) was light and easy to eat. The staff were also polite, so I had a pleasant time. I recommend it when you want to unwind.

For the shabu-shabu, each person has a Hot Pot set at their seat with Chuck Eye Roll, beef belly, lamb, and pork loin. Every one of them is so tender you barely need teeth! They melt in your mouth and taste amazing. I enjoyed them with ponzu sauce for a light finish. The sauce station is set up bar-style, so you can add your own yakumi (condiments) and arrange it however you like. Since you can change up the flavor, I enjoyed it without getting tired of it.

Shabu-shabu NonoButa TONVEGE Lumine Est Shinjuku Ten

Shabu-shabu NonoButa TONVEGE Lumine Est Shinjuku Ten is located on the 7th floor of Lumine Est, right next to Shinjuku Station. You can enjoy All you can eat shabu-shabu here for both lunch and dinner.

Around the natural table settings, you will find cute decorations that give the place a cafe-like feel.

There are multiple All you can eat plans, so you can choose based on the meat you want, such as pork only, pork with beef and duck, or options that come with lamb.

There are also plenty of vegetables, and you can even request your favorites like shiitake mushrooms, daikon radish, and green onions.

You can choose 1 or 2 kinds of broth as the base. There are many flavors to pick from, including sukiyaki-style broth, spicy broth, and chicken paitan (rich white chicken broth).

Another nice point is that you can also adjust the dipping sauce you coat the meat and vegetables with after swishing them through the broth, using additions like grated daikon radish or chili oil, so you can enjoy it the way you like.

Even though lamb is usually pretty expensive, they offer it as All you can eat. It was also nice that you can choose from 6 kinds of dipping broth. Besides the meat, vegetables, rice, and more are also All you can eat. I left feeling full and very Manzoku. The service was good, and the restaurant was clean, neat, and nicely sanitary.

Not just the meat, but the colorful fresh vegetables are star attractions too! The presentation is gorgeous and makes you want to take photos. For the shabu-shabu, there are several kinds of broth, and this time we chose the standard kombu kelp and a medicinal herb style broth. Both brought out the good flavor of the vegetables and meat, and we enjoyed them all the way to the end without getting tired of them. There is also a wide variety of dipping sauces, so it's fun to switch up the flavors ◎

We always go with kombu kelp and kimchi broth for the shabu-shabu. We order pork and bean sprouts. There are hardly any people around early in the morning, so we get to have a lively good time. When I visited again for the first time in a while, the interior had also been renovated nicely.

I ordered the D course, which comes with premium top grade Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef). The D course was a great value plan that let us enjoy every ingredient on the All you can eat menu. I thought JPY4980 was a great price for being able to choose from such a wide variety of ingredients!

With about 13 seats in total, it has a small and homey feel. This hideaway-like spot is a good choice when you want to enjoy a quiet meal and drinks.

The beef, quickly dipped in carefully made dashi (Japanese soup stock) prepared every morning, is said to taste so good it is moving.

The shabu-shabu course is popular for its refined Japanese touch, from the Appetizers to the final rice dish, with clear care for the ingredients.

The quality of the meat is very good, and the kurogemawagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) shabu-shabu is especially tender and full of flavor. My friend was so impressed and said, "This is the first time I’ve had beef this good!" The vegetables were fresh too, and the moment the aroma of the dashi (Japanese soup stock) spread was truly the taste of Japan.

Now it was time to eat!! They said to take the first bite of the meat with dashi (Japanese soup stock), so I had it just as it was, and as expected of a Prime Minister's Award winner! Even though it was thinly sliced, it still felt really thick and tasted great! The second bite! This time I had it with ponzu sauce, and it was amazing(*⁰▿⁰*)I had the vegetables with ginshari (premium white rice), and it made the rice go down so well!!(The green onions were really good w)

Shabu Shabu Onyasai Shinjuku Nishiguchi Ten

The calm Japanese-modern interior also has spaces that feel like Semi-private rooms.

You can order the shabu-shabu either as All you can eat or as an individual set for one person. Some reviews also said they could enjoy the meal with peace of mind even when dining with children.

There are 13 kinds of meat, including kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef), and the types you can enjoy such as pork, Beef Tongue, and chicken change depending on the plan.

There are about 7 kinds of dashi (Japanese soup stock), and one nice point is that you can choose 2. The options are varied, including wafu dashi (Japanese style soup stock), a sweet and savory sukiyaki style broth, and tonyu dashi (soy milk soup stock).

I ordered the tongue shabu-shabu course! I like adding lettuce to Hot Pot, so I often go to On-Yasai mainly for the vegetables. Not many places have lettuce, and at On-Yasai, they bring both the meat and vegetables quickly when you order them, and the quality is high, so it’s the best! The pudding I ordered for dessert was also delicious!

おいしいものがだいすき

Since they were running a kamo (duck) fair, I chose a course where I could have kamo-suki (duck sukiyaki) and beef^ ^. The warm vegetables came in a wide variety, which was fun^ ^. The meat was tender and properly tasty too! I couldn't eat as much as I expected, but I was very satisfied! I want to go again. It was a great meal^ ^
