The “Hokkai Sanmai” in the photo is popular because you can fully enjoy kani miso (crab tomalley), uni (sea urchin), and ikura (salmon roe).

The "sukimi-gunkan (battleship roll topped with minced tuna)" uses hon-maguro (bluefin tuna) sukimi.

This popular item, praised in reviews, is topped with chunky pieces of rich, flavorful sukimi. They also recommend eating it with a good kick of wasabi.

The best thing I had today was the shiokara gunkan (salted seafood gunkan). I couldn't get enough of the mellow savory flavor of the shiokara. The Hokkai Zanmai was also good. Uni (sea urchin) and ikura (salmon roe) are things ordinary people like me rarely get to eat, so good〜.

The standout was the maguro (tuna) sukimi-gunkan (battleship-style sushi). Even though it was sukimi, it included fairly chunky pieces of fish and tasted great. Every other sushi we ordered was also fresh and delicious, so this place comes highly recommended.

I was able to try the nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) I came for, and left Manzoku. The three pieces of shiny fish and the hotaruika (firefly squid) gunkan were also delicious. I also enjoyed the octopus gunkan and salad gunkan.

Especially popular are the kanburi (winter yellowtail) from Himi and locally caught horse mackerel. The kanburi is rich and fatty and tastes great, and the horse mackerel is also fresh and full of umami.

The "Kando Corn Kappa Gunkan" I had this time was generously topped with large, sweet corn kernels, and with only a light touch of mayonnaise, the natural flavor of the ingredients really stood out. The nori and the small shari (sushi rice) brought everything together in good balance, making it a fittingly satisfying dish true to its name, Manzoku.

The tennen shime-saba (naturally caught cured mackerel) had a nice balance between the refreshing ume plum and the cured mackerel, and it was delicious. Also, the Korean chumoppa had warm rice, and the balance of takuan (pickled daikon) and salmon was great, making it a personal hit menu item for the first time in a while.

The chutoro (medium fatty tuna) had some sinew and the shape was not ideal, but it was thick cut, tender, and the rich tuna fat was very tasty. The two pieces of maguro (tuna) were also more than satisfying.

I went to Hama Sushi with a friend. It had been a while since I last had kaiten-zushi (conveyor belt sushi). First, I had the aonori miso soup. The Fresh Scent of the Ocean was great. I tried a lot of things, but the limited time fresh mackerel was especially good.
