Taiga Sushi

Inside, there are 18 counter seats and 7 tables. The restaurant has a full parking lot, so you can also visit by car.

The sushi toppings use fresh fish brought in daily from Nagahama Sengyo Ichiba (Nagahama Fish Market).

For some ingredients, they change the production region depending on the season. Every topping is cut thick, making it very satisfying to eat.

They also offer a wide range of sushi rolls, from classic staples to creative originals.

The "Taikaryu Kaisen-maki (Taikaryu seafood roll)" is made with several kinds of fish, making it a dish you can enjoy with both your eyes and your palate. The bite and mild heat of chopped green onion add a nice accent.

ウーロンハイ大好き

With so many seasonal neta (sushi toppings), I ended up ordering a lot. When they arrived, I was Surprising at how big the toppings were and how incredibly fresh. The fish itself tasted great. It was also nice that everything arrived quickly. I wanted to eat more, but I was already full. I especially recommend salmon and maguro (tuna).

The sushi had big toppings, and the tuna was especially good, particularly the chutoro (medium fatty tuna). Personally, I also liked the size of the takuan in the torotaku. It was a place that made me want to go back again.

Ichiba Zushi Uotatsu

Ichiba Zushi Uotatsu is a conveyor belt sushi restaurant located inside the Nagahama Sengyo Shijo Kaikan (Nagahama Fresh Fish Market Hall). It is said to be so popular that lines form on weekends and during peak hours.

There are counter and table seats, and one of the draws is how close you are to the sushi chefs.

The sushi is prepared so that a chef shapes each piece one by one for every order. They use fresh fish caught mainly in the Genkainada (Genkai Sea) area, as well as from waters near Fukuoka.

You can really taste the freshness of the toppings, and they are said to have a nice plump texture.

There is also a great lineup of side dishes featuring fresh seafood.

The chawanmushi (savory egg custard) is packed with ingredients like shrimp, hotate (scallops), and ika (squid). It has a gentle overall flavor, and it is said to taste good even with a dash of soy sauce.

茶茶

Fresh saba (mackerel), aji (horse mackerel), chutoro (medium fatty tuna), ara (grouper), harami-zukushi (assortment of fatty belly cuts), fresh shrimp, etc. Every piece tastes fresh and has a level of quality that is different from the usual conveyor-belt sushi spots around town! I even gave in to temptation and ordered things like soft roe.

徳川龍之介

Every piece of neta (sushi topping) has firm flesh with none of that watery feel. Rather than the lightness you often get at conveyor belt sushi spots, it has the sense of freshness that comes from being close to the market.

The toppings are consistently good, and the salmon skin and kampachi (greater amberjack) belly are especially recommended. They have a nice amount of fat, making them a highly satisfying plate for conveyor-belt sushi in this price range. The tuna, white fish, and shrimp options are also reliably tasty, and overall there seem to be very few misses.

Every piece of neta (sushi topping) is extremely fresh, and the chutoro (medium fatty tuna) in particular, along with the aburi-style items, has an excellent balance of rich fat. The rice is delicately prepared, with distinct grains and just the right amount of vinegar, and the temperature of the nigiri (hand-formed sushi) gently loosens in your mouth.

Sushi Kin

This restaurant is about a 2-minute walk from Tenjin Station on the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line.

The first floor has a conveyor belt sushi lane. The second floor also works as an izakaya (Japanese pub), where guests can enjoy local fish dishes with local sake from (Each) region.

They handle about 50 kinds of sushi toppings. They use local fish, mainly fresh seafood from Genkainada (the Genkai Sea) brought in from the market every morning.

無名の雑食家

What stood out most were the tai (sea bream) cured with kombu kelp and the goma-saba (mackerel with sesame sauce). The tai had remarkable clarity and umami, while the goma-saba had an excellent balance of aroma and fat. It was so fresh and vibrant that I couldn’t help ordering more Japanese sake... It made lunch feel wonderfully indulgent.

They regularly have great limited-time promotions, and with so many different kinds of sushi, I always look forward to going. The shari (sushi rice) is delicious, and I love it. Even the dessert pudding is rich, smooth, and tasty, so you can enjoy everything from the sushi to the final sweet finish.

hoshi-shun

To finish, there was chutoro (medium fatty tuna), kanburi (winter yellowtail), and katsuo tataki (seared bonito). And miso soup with onion and aburaage (deep-fried tofu pouch). The Southern bluefin tuna chutoro was insanely good. It was rich with fat and melted the moment I ate it. The miso soup was huge. The onion wasn’t stewed down, and that crunchy texture was nice. It was packed with aburaage, almost more than you could believe.

meguです!!

Kurume’s strongest kaiten-zushi (conveyor belt sushi) spot. They recently opened a second location too. And even now, sushi still goes around properly on the belt. You can really dig in and leave full. The prices are also quite low. It’s great that they also have the advantage of being directly run by a fishmonger. The sushi, topped with plump, springy slices of fish that make you open your mouth wide to eat them, is hard to resist.

The otoro (fatty tuna) has very beautiful marbling. When you put it in your mouth, the fat melts and the rich flavor of the tuna spreads across your palate〜This is so good! The chutoro (medium fatty tuna) has just the right amount of fat and is also really tasty! It lets you enjoy both the rich fat of otoro and the moist texture of akami (lean tuna), so it really feels like getting the best parts of tuna〜

It’s kaiten-zushi (conveyor belt sushi), but the chefs make the sushi right in front of you. Since each serving comes with 2 pieces, you end up feeling pretty full, but the toppings are fresh and tasty! The Nankan inari (sweet tofu pocket sushi from Nankan) in particular is packed with flavor and seriously addictive.
