The interior has a somewhat nostalgic feel, creating a casual space where you can enjoy a meal.

The "Omurice with house made demi-glace sauce and soft, fluffy egg" is said to be excellent, with a light, fluffy egg and chicken rice full of the good flavor of the ingredients.

The demi-glace sauce uses red wine as well as Saikyo miso (Kyoto's traditional white miso).

・Omurice and Napolitan Half & Half
Omurice and Napolitan are classic yoshoku (Japanese Western-style dishes). The demi-glace sauce was just right, and the Napolitan was not too tangy with a mild flavor that made it easy to eat. It was also quite filling.

Hamburg Steak & Omurice no Omise Ikura Shibuya Ten

Ikura Shibuya Ten, a hamburger steak and omurice restaurant located up Dogenzaka in Shibuya, is a popular spot for outstanding Hamburger Steak Omurice finished on a Teppan-yaki grill. This buzzworthy restaurant from Fukuoka, known for its long lines, has opened in Shibuya and is drawing a lot of attention.

The bright, modern, and stylish space is also well received.

The counter seats in front of the Teppan-yaki are popular spots with a lively feel where you can watch the cooking.

The egg part of the Omurice uses plenty of fresh cream. The surface of the egg is fluffy, and the inside is said to have a soft and runny texture.

Omurice comes in several styles, and the photographed "Hamburger Steak Omurice" is a recommended dish that also lets you enjoy a juicy, authentic Hamburger Steak.

You can choose from four kinds of sauce. The pictured Hakata mentaicream (spicy pollock roe cream) (with shiso (perilla) leaves) is a sauce made with mentaiko (marinated pollock roe), which is Alaska pollock ovaries pickled in seasoning liquid.

・Hamburger Steak Omurice (Hakata mentaiko (spicy cod roe) cream)
Under the egg, the Omurice hides shiso (perilla), Hamburger Steak, and butter rice. The egg comes as an omelet with a cute branded stamp on it. It had a soft and creamy texture and tasted very good. The Hamburger Steak was fairly strongly seasoned. It was more filling than expected, so it would probably taste even better if you go hungry.

・Omurice (demi-glace)
The moment it arrives, its look grabs all your attention. Sitting on top of the chicken rice is a finely textured omelet that jiggles gently, and it is truly a work of art. When you cut into it with a knife, the soft-cooked egg opens right up and the creamy center spills out, a presentation that will definitely make you want to film it.

・Soufflé Omurice Plate
The soufflé Omurice is so soft that it collapses easily when you put a spoon into it, and it feels very light on the palate. It has an airy texture that makes it easy to keep eating without feeling heavy. It also pairs well with the tomato cream sauce, which combines the rich flavor of shrimp with the richness of mozzarella, so I enjoyed it to the very end without getting tired of it.

・Omurice with demi-glace sauce
A repeat visit. This is the kind of place I end up going to whenever I start craving Omurice. The signature Omurice is slit open right in front of you! I went with the classic demi-glace. The sauce is on the sweet side, and together with the egg it gives a gentle, comforting taste. It looks big, but it goes down easily.

・Omurice with truffle cheese sauce
I think this dish is irresistible for anyone who likes bold flavors, with the perfect balance of aroma and saltiness from the truffle sauce. Even with its rich seasoning, it was not too heavy, and I enjoyed it to the last bite. The portion was also generous, and it made for a satisfying lunch. The staff were polite, and it is a place I would like to visit again.

Lunch at Dogenzaka Tamagoken. I ordered the tomato cream omelet rice. The fluffy eggs had just the right balance of tomato tang and rich creaminess. It was more filling than it looked, and it scored high on lunch-time Manzoku too. Nothing fancy, quick and easy, but properly tasty. If you are not sure where to eat in Dogenzaka, this is one dish worth remembering.

I came back again. Even the S size is quite filling. I’m also happy that it comes with miso soup. The Omurice has a soft and runny center, and there are lots of different kinds. This time, I chose the demi-glace sauce. They also have Japanese-style Omurice, and I’d like to try it someday.

ますだこうきです

I went to Pomu no Ki for the first time. I was surprised by how many Omurice options they had on the menu. I ordered the curry and cheese Omurice, and the slight heat of the curry went perfectly with the sweetness of the egg, making it really delicious. It made me realize how well Omurice and curry go together.
