Kichijoji Baadoya

Kichijoji Baadoya is a chicken specialty izakaya located on the basement level of a building, a 4-minute walk from the north exit of Kichijoji Station on the JR Chuo Line.

The restaurant is fully equipped with table seating, counter seating, and Private room options. You can spend a Special time while looking out at the bamboo grove in the courtyard.

The yakitori uses Aomori Shamrock (Aomori gamefowl), delivered directly from the poultry farm. To keep it fresh, they butcher it in house before skewering it.

The "sabi-yaki" is a dish where you can enjoy the light taste unique to chicken breast. The moderate heat of the wasabi adds a nice accent.

They also have a wide selection of snacks and a la carte dishes that pair well with drinks.

The "Jikasei Motsuni (house-made offal stew)" is a dish with motsu (offal), carrots, daikon radish, and other ingredients simmered until tender. The flavor of the ingredients melts into the broth, making it comforting and satisfying.

You can enjoy a wide range of drinks, including beer, shochu, and Japanese sake, along with a menu centered on yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) cooked over binchotan (high-grade charcoal), Chicken sashimi (served raw), and other chicken dishes. Occhan no Daidokoro

Occhan no Daidokoro is a yakitori izakaya located a 6-minute walk from the north exit of Kichijoji Station on the JR Chuo Line.

Inside, there are Semi-private room with Sunken kotatsu seating, wooden counter seats, and table seats. Terrace seating is also available depending on the season.

You can enjoy yakitori made with Domestic charcoal. They do not make it in advance, and they prepare everything in-house every day, from cutting the meat to skewering it.

By grilling it slowly over time, they bring out the full flavor of the chicken.

For the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), you can choose either salt or sauce for the seasoning. One highlight is their carefully made sauce, which comes in two types, sweet and spicy, and they use them differently depending on the cut.

For some cuts, they brush on the spicy sauce twice, then finish with the sweet sauce.

DIZNT

The kushiyaki (grilled skewers) were as good as I had hoped, cooked just right, and when ordering, they asked whether I wanted salt or sauce, but since I could also ask for Omakase, I got to enjoy (Each) cut at its best.

All of the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) was good, but the seseri (neck meat) and momo (thigh) were especially tasty and memorable. Even though it is a chicken restaurant, the sashimi (raw fish) platter was also properly good.
