Machiya Yakiniku Mitsuyouya offers Sunken kotatsu seating, where you can take off your shoes, stretch out your legs, and relax.
There is also a members-only VIP room with a fully private room setup (paid, On-the-Day membership registration OK), making it perfect for Special occasions.

This restaurant is known for Yakiniku centered on Kobe beef, which is rated as a top brand of Wagyu.
The Akami Tengoku Course, served as a stair-style assortment, is said to let you fully enjoy the deep flavor of Special lean cuts.
Photograph:ありすた 15
A recommended item on the salt Yakiniku menu is the rare cut "Maboroshi no Premium Tan Steak (phantom premium tongue steak)." It is thick and satisfying to eat, yet the meat is tender.
Meanwhile, the top pick on the sauce Yakiniku menu is the "Miran Karubi (Miran short rib)." This dish features Kobe beef and Tajima beef coated in the house-made marinating sauce.
トシ0318
From the premium feel of the tongue to a wide range of cuts like karubi (short rib), Outside skirt, and thigh meat, everything is tender and satisfying to eat. Each cut is also well seasoned, and all of it tastes great.

たくもく
It was a really good Yakiniku restaurant. It lives up to its reputation as a Tabelog 100 pick! I especially liked the tongue and Outside skirt. My bowl of white rice was gone in no time. I also got hooked on the namuru (seasoned vegetable side dishes) assortment, which is made with ingredients selected by the restaurant's vegetable sommelier. They really were all delicious...! They went amazingly well with rice.

Dainichitei Ekimae Honten is a Yakiniku restaurant that is said to be rare even within Okayama Prefecture for purchasing whole Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) cattle.
The first floor mainly has table seating, while the second floor has Private rooms with Sunken kotatsu seating, so you can use it for different occasions.
Photograph:ふらっとパイン
The Yakiniku menu offers a wide range of cuts, from rare cuts to Horumon (offal).
The high quality Special series also comes recommended. Options include the richly flavorful lean cut "Special Wagyu Top blade" and "Special Wagyu Strip loin," which has plenty of marbling (the web like fat running through the lean meat).
Photograph:ayablack
One popular menu item shown in the photo, where the surface of the meat is covered with green onions, is the "Salted Green Onion Wagyu Premium Loin."
It is said to have no off notes from the meat, and is delicious with plenty of green onion aroma and umami. As another Yakiniku dish that uses lots of green onions, they also offer the "Salted Green Onion Premium Tongue."
tokisin2019
For the main event, we ordered Outside skirt, kalbi (short rib), and Horumon with sauce, then had them with miso tare (miso-based sauce), and wow ♪ The tender Outside skirt was so good it felt like I could drink highballs forever, and the kalbi had amazing rich fat. The Horumon was plump and bouncy too 〜♫ It was delicious again this time 〜!It was a great meal(^^)

When it comes to Yakiniku in Okayama, Dainichitei is the place that comes to mind! Many famous professional baseball players have visited as well, and the walls are lined with photos and autographs. I’ve visited several times, and I’m satisfied with the quality, portion size, and price. I was amazed the first time I saw the Beef Tongue completely covered in green onions!

Yakiniku Hidaya Honmachi Ten is a well known restaurant where you can enjoy high quality Yakiniku made with kurokegyu (Japanese Black Wagyu).
The restaurant has counter and table seating, making it easy to use for all kinds of occasions, from solo Yakiniku to lively meals with friends.

At Yakiniku Hidaya Hommachi Ten, they handle everything in-house from sourcing the meat to transporting it, so they can serve it while keeping the quality intact.
The "Signature Beef Tongue" is a popular item since the restaurant first opened, made with thick-cut tanmoto (base of the tongue), a tender cut from the root of the tongue.
Photograph:ふらっとパイン
Among the various Yakiniku menu items, the roast wrapped around ki-nira (yellow Chinese chives), a specialty of Okayama Prefecture, is also popular. The roast is tender and juicy, and the texture of the ki-nira is said to be nice.
The meat is grilled over binchotan (high-grade white charcoal) on a shichirin (small charcoal grill). It is said to come out fragrant and nicely plump.

After checking the Tabelog information, I decided on this place. It was an excellent Yakiniku restaurant with no complaints. The meat was delicious, but the staff were also really great. Their kind and spot on service, from checking in on us to answering questions, made it a very nice Yakiniku experience. The recommended thick cut tongue was especially good. I really liked eating it with wasabi and salt.

じゅっち
Among them, the thick cut tongue is especially satisfying to eat, and because it is grilled over a shichirin (small charcoal grill), it cooks quickly and stays juicy. Lemon is also available, but I thought it tasted better with salt. And the ki-nira roast loin makes the flavor of yellow garlic chives spread nicely across your mouth, while the loin is also very tender.

Wagyu Yakiniku Okayama Sodachi is a restaurant that focuses on ingredients from Okayama Prefecture, including okayama wagyu niku (Okayama Wagyu beef) and Peach Pork.
The interior is a clean and modern space. It has table seating that can be made into Semi-private room style by lowering roll curtains, as well as Private rooms with Sunken kotatsu seating.
Photograph:@すすむ
For "Okayama Wagyu beef," cuts such as short rib and Chateaubriand are served depending on availability.
The short rib is said to have a sweetness that spreads from the fat, while the loin has marbling and is tender.
Photograph:かにぱん74
The vegetables and rice that support the main Yakiniku are also Specially selected.
The rice is Satoumi-mai (a branded rice from Okayama Prefecture). Cooked in a hagama (traditional rice pot), the rice is glossy and has a plump texture.
さとる413
This Yakiniku restaurant lets you tell the high quality of the meat in a single bite. The lean cuts have deep flavor, and even the richer fatty cuts taste refined without feeling too heavy. The sauce brings out the flavor of the meat, and you can also enjoy it with salt or wasabi. The heat control of the shichirin (charcoal grill) (or roaster) is also good, so the meat cooks evenly every time. With its clean interior and attentive service, this is a great place for everything from family meals to special occasions.

This stylish and spotless restaurant serves a full Yakiniku course. The meat is a lineup of high quality cuts sourced from JA cooperatives across Japan. Of course, it also includes locally produced meat from Okayama. I enjoyed meat from all kinds of cuts. The course comes with white rice cooked in a kama (iron pot). I was also amazed by how good the rice was. What left the biggest impression was eating it with wasabi.

Yakiniku Mikan is a well-regarded restaurant where you can enjoy great Yakiniku made with carefully selected female Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef).
The seating includes counter seats, Semi-private room, and fully private room options. It suits a wide range of occasions, from family meals to special occasions.
The addictive specialty "Bimi Tsubo Aka Shiro Yaki" is a signature menu item served using Bizen-yaki (Bizen ware), pottery made around Bizen City in Okayama Prefecture.
They grill a mix of lean meat and Horumon with a special aged miso.
Photograph:カラ口ウマ子
Because female Japanese Black Wagyu cattle have fat that melts at a lower temperature, the flavorful, slightly sweet juices are said to spread across your mouth.
The rich, high quality taste of the meat, together with the savory aroma of charcoal grilling, makes it so good that rice and beer go down easy.
ぬかだき
I finally made it to Mikan, a popular spot in Omotecho that I had been wanting to visit for a long time. Knowing they serve charcoal grilled Yakiniku got me even more excited. I started with salted Horumon and Outside skirt. Both tasted great, and the charcoal grilling really brought out their nice smoky aroma! The beer went down very easily too. lol

Mikan is also within walking distance of Okayama Station, and when I feel like having Yakiniku, it’s one of the first places that comes to mind. Yakiniku Ushiyama, run by a butcher shop, is well regarded for serving high quality meat, including brand name wagyu (Japanese premium beef).
The calm interior offers Sunken kotatsu seating and table seating.
Photograph:うもにゃ
Yakiniku made with the rare Kuroge Wagyu "Chiya-gyu (Chiya beef)," which carries on the bloodline of Japan’s oldest Tsuru-ushi (vine cattle), is popular. It has a reputation for being tender and delicious.
The menu featuring Chiya-gyu offers a wide range of cuts, from classic Yakiniku staples like short rib and loin to the premium Chateaubriand.
Photograph:100キログルマン
The thick cut tongue is also a popular dish, loved for its satisfyingly firm bite.
The “Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) Kuro Tan 4-shu assortment” is also recommended, and lets you taste the differences between cuts, from tanmoto (base of the tongue) to tanshita (underside of the tongue). Among them, the tanmoto is said to be surprisingly tender.
酒と飯
The Outside skirt has an excellent balance of lean meat flavor and fat. The pork cartilage has a fun crunchy texture, and the pork fat is nice too! Enjoy the different flavors of each cut with the Kongo (Horumon assortment), and finish with Morioka reimen (Morioka cold noodles) for a refreshing end! This was a restaurant that really satisfied my Yakiniku craving.

Reviews were full of praise for how good the meat is. In particular, the "Outside skirt" and the Wagyu green onion salt loin are said to be surprisingly tender.

The menu includes everything from the classic Beef Tongue to Horumon from a variety of different cuts.
For drinks, the recommended choice is the "Sensho Original Junmaishu," which is used in the sauce. It is said to be an easy-drinking Japanese sake that pairs well with the food.
なんちゃん955
The meat that came out was insanely good! I feel like I kept saying “It melts,” “So tender!” and “Juicy” the whole time. I mean, thinking it would be a waste to wash the flavor away with beer is not the kind of thing you usually say while eating Yakiniku (Japanese grilled meat) lol. Also, every staff member was very polite.

Along with classic menu items like kalbi (short rib) and roast, the "Usugiri Ranpu no Yaki-suki" is also popular.
This dish is a style where you eat grilled Top sirloin, a lean cut from the lower back to the rump, dipped in beaten egg like sukiyaki.
Photograph:Hiroboo
Reviews say that every meat and seafood dish is delicious, and people visit for both lunch and dinner. The courses are also recommended, including Yakiniku and several other items such as the Toto-tei Salad.
This place is busy even on weekdays and has many repeat customers, so it is a good idea to make a reservation.
Hiroboo
The meat is fresh and delicious. In particular, the unfamiliar cut called Top sirloin (apparently from the rump) was tender and very good. I also tried Horumon Kara-age for the first time as a side dish, and it was fried nice and crispy. When I bit into it, it had Horumon's distinctive chew, and the flavor slowly spread through my mouth.

At Ubu, run by a butcher shop, the Yakiniku made with the branded beef Chiya-gyu (Chiya beef), raised in Niimi City, Okayama Prefecture, is very popular.
The interior has a stylish monochrome look. There are counter seats facing the open kitchen, table seating with partitions behind them, and Sunken kotatsu seating that can be used as Semi-private room seating.
Photograph:ぢゅんも
Each table is equipped with a smokeless roaster, so you can focus on Yakiniku without worrying about smoke.
The menu is varied, with a 3-item set that includes one Premium item, A la carte options, and an All you can eat course available only on certain weekdays.
Chiya-gyu (finely marbled rare beef) is a rare meat with fine marbling throughout. At this restaurant, they serve cuts such as kalbi, loin, and lean meat, which you can order with either salt or sauce.
They also offer high quality Wagyu, pork, and chicken, making this a place where you can enjoy a wide range of Yakiniku.
ぢゅんも
As a butcher shop operated restaurant, it offers a lineup of Special Domestic Japanese Black Wagyu dishes, and because the meat is slowly grilled on a healthy roaster without charring, you can enjoy it without losing any of its rich flavor. The weather that day felt like early summer, and the combination of draft beer served in an ice-cold mug and thick cut meat was the best.

As the name suggests, this is a restaurant where you can enjoy Yakiniku cooked over a shichirin (small charcoal grill). A shichirin is a small grill that uses charcoal as fuel, and it has long been familiar in Japan.

They put a shichirin (charcoal brazier) on the table and you grill the meat yourself. I remember that everything was good overall. The kalbi had nice marbling and tasted great. But since it really was just a shichirin, cooking moved very slowly if you went with a group of 4 or more, so it was hard to keep up with eating, and the space felt a bit small and cramped. The food tasted good, so I’d like to go again.

The Yakiniku menu also includes top grade Wagyu, such as the "Maboroshi no Atsugiri Gokujo Tan (phantom premium thick cut beef tongue)," as well as the rare pork toro from the Shimane-raised brand pork "Iwami Pork."
The Miyazaki beef premium Yakiniku course with All you can drink is also recommended, with a full and satisfying lineup.

I had the sumibiyakiniku (charcoal grilled Yakiniku) and Kyo motsu-nabe (Kyoto-style offal Hot Pot) course. The charcoal grilled right in front of you and the infrared effect of the shichirin (small charcoal grill) lock in the flavor and cook everything up deliciously. Even people who are not fond of Horumon will likely change their mind thanks to its fresh, tasty flavor. The Kyo motsu-nabe features an excellent sweet and savory balance based on white miso.

コシノカゲトラ
The Beef Tongue was thick cut and satisfying to eat, and I had it with a salt sauce. The pork was rich with fat and had a distinctive sweetness that went well with the spicy miso sauce. Next came the Yakiniku, featuring the popular Miyazaki-gyu (Miyazaki beef) kalbi and lean Hanging tender. The Miyazaki-gyu kalbi had a moderate amount of marbling and the good flavor of beef fat, and it paired well with the sweet and savory soy-based sauce.

Wagyu no Taka is a Yakiniku restaurant in the Kurashiki Bikan Chiku (Kurashiki Historical Quarter) in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, where traditional Japanese townscapes still remain. They offer a wide variety of meats, so it is also a great place to share with a group.
They also have "Wagyu kone (part of the shoulder brisket)," which yields only a small amount from a single animal, and "Premium thick cut tongue," whose rich flavor seems to slowly spread with every bite.

・Yakiniku set meal for lunch
Yes, the tongue was better than I expected. It was very tender, and I could really taste the good flavor of the tongue. Next, I tried the Outside skirt. This also had a rich meaty flavor, and it was very good. Since it was lunch, I was not expecting that much, but I was happy to find such tasty meat. As expected, this place lives up to its great name.

"Special Yakiniku Goko" is a well-regarded restaurant where you can enjoy high quality Wagyu such as Kobe beef at more reasonable prices, thanks to its own sourcing routes.
The seating includes tables and Sunken kotatsu seating, and all rooms are Private room spaces, making it a great fit for occasions when you want to value your private time. Since they also offer a menu for children, families can easily enjoy Yakiniku here as well.

"Kiwami 10cm Tan (premium 10 cm beef tongue) with Special Garlic Chips" is a signature dish with real impact.
The thick cut gives it a great texture, and the rich flavor of the high quality meat is said to be excellent. Eating it with the garlic chips adds more aroma and makes it even better.

At Gosen Yakiniku Goko, they source Kobe beef and Wagyu through their own channels. That is how they keep prices more affordable than the market rate.
Along with Kobe beef kalbi, they also recommend the "Goko Specialty Special Wagyu Yaki-suki," in which sauce-marinated Chuck Eye Roll is dipped in egg before eating.

I found this place while looking for a good Yakiniku restaurant. It was my first visit. When I walked in, it had a stylish and upscale feel. I am not sure if all seats are in Private rooms, but the calm atmosphere made it nice to relax and enjoy the meal. And the meat was delicious too!

First, the kimchi assortment! Then the thick-cut tongue! Seriously huge! And really delicious! The aburi reba (seared liver) was also great! The egg soup was super tasty too! Everything was great!

Yakiniku Soga is a by reservation only restaurant located close to the Kurashiki Bikan Chiku (Kurashiki Historical Quarter). It is popular for letting guests enjoy Special quality-focused beef along with wines from around the world and sours made with local ingredients from Okayama.
The Japanese modern interior has counter seats where you can enjoy a live atmosphere, as well as Semi-private room table seating that is well suited for celebrations on a special occasion.
The course uses high quality meat including female Wagyu cattle. It is said to have rich flavor and a tender texture.
The signature dish is “Truffle Sukiyaki.” The meat is dipped in house made warishita (sukiyaki sauce made by mixing dashi broth with soy sauce and other seasonings) and egg yolk, making for a dish with the aroma of truffle.

For courses that include Yakiniku, the meat assortment, where you can enjoy Special cuts recommended that day, is also popular.
The staff grill the meat while checking its condition, so you can eat it at the best timing.
やのゆあ
There are also Semi-private rooms, so you can enjoy your meal at a relaxed pace. The meat's production region may change depending on the season and other factors, as they explained it was for today. There were three kinds of Yakiniku including salted options, and the grated sauce was so good that we asked for more. The sukiyaki-style way of eating it makes a second helping of rice a must.

"Yakiniku Tanimoto" is a ranch-run restaurant located inside Kasaoka Sogo Oroshiuri Ichiba (Kasaoka General Wholesale Market).
The round table seating makes conversation flow easily and sets the scene for a lively time. There is also counter seating, so even solo diners can enjoy Yakiniku without feeling awkward.

The restaurant buys Tanimoto-gyu (Tanimoto beef), raised on a ranch in Kasaoka City, Okayama Prefecture, by the whole cow. By raising the cattle for a long time, the flavor becomes richer.
They serve a wide range of cuts, including rare parts and Horumon.
Photograph:マキ624
You can enjoy Yakiniku from A la carte dishes to assortments of lean meat, kalbi (short rib), and Outside skirt, as well as full courses.
They also recommend dishes grilled from whole blocks of meat. Since the juices stay locked in, the meat is juicy and its flavor stands out.

On this day, we had Hanging tender, kalbi (Korean-style short rib), lean meat, Flap meat, and Sirloin cap. Everything was delicious! Even though it was a weekday, the place was lively and had a nice atmosphere.

The meat looked so tasty you could tell even from the photos✨The karubi (short rib) was tender, and the tongue and Outside skirt were thick cut with a nice, satisfying bite! I ended up getting several extra plates of the karubi without fail! It had just the right amount of fat, so I could eat plenty of it.
