I reserved the Hairy Crab course with All you can drink. The sashimi included herring, saury, and two kinds of tuna. It was delicious right from the start. Then came the main dish, the Hairy Crab. You eat two of the crab sashimi legs as they are or with a squeeze of sudachi (Japanese citrus), and dip the other two into the bubbling kani miso (crab tomalley). After that, more crab dishes keep coming, all of them perfect with drinks.

They offer a wide range of seafood dishes unique to Hokkaido, but the most popular among them are the crab dishes.
The kegani (horsehair crab) is known for its large size, and people say the rich flavor of the kani miso (crab tomalley) is irresistible. They also have a menu item with the kegani already picked from the shell, so even those who worry about getting their hands dirty can enjoy it with ease.

They offer several course menus centered on crab, and the most popular is the “4 Great Crab Feast Course,” where you can enjoy kegani (horsehair crab), taraba (red king crab), zuwai (snow crab), and hanasaki-gani (spiny king crab).
It is a perfect lineup for crab lovers, with items such as hanasaki-gani teppo-jiru (crab miso soup) and chawanmushi (savory egg custard) with crab miso.

I enjoyed a course that let me fully savor authentic Hokkaido (northern Japan) crab! The otoshi (small appetizer), tako-wasa (wasabi-seasoned octopus), and sashimi were fresh and tasty, the kani miso (crab tomalley) chawanmushi (savory steamed egg custard) was rich, the kani-shabu (crab hotpot) was served half-raw and very sweet, and the grilled tarabagani (red king crab) and kegani (horsehair crab) had firm meat and were really delicious.

If you love crab, one thing you should definitely try is the crab grab. The rule is simple: with one gloved hand, you can eat as much as you manage to grab.
The sweet shrimp grab is also popular, and you can enjoy your catch as sashimi or Kara-age. It is packed with entertainment value, so it is sure to get everyone excited together!
Photograph:r712s
"Kaki no Yakan-mushi (kettle-steamed oysters)" is also one of the signature dishes. The oysters are placed whole in their shells inside a kettle, and you can even drink the broth.
The oysters let you enjoy their natural, gentle flavor, and their plump, springy texture is said to be irresistible. Some also say they pair perfectly with Japanese sake.

This Hokkaido izakaya (Japanese pub) serves seriously good seafood dishes. The shrimp grab and crab grab are fun entertainment too, and since I took people who were not from Sapporo that day, we did it three times. You can eat the shrimp raw, and having them quickly deep-fried whole was also really tasty.

The sashimi, grilled fish, and fried dishes all brought out the quality of the ingredients. The top recommendation is the boldly plated sashimi assortment, which also looks gorgeous. One of the best things about it is how casually you can enjoy seasonal seafood that feels very Hokkaido. It also has the lively atmosphere you expect from an izakaya (Japanese pub), and fun touches like grabbing sweet shrimp made it a good time.

This is a seafood izakaya in Susukino. It is nice that the seating is in Semi-private room spaces. They really highlight crab, and the kani miso (crab tomalley) and even the salad had crab in them, and both were very tasty. The sashimi was also fresh and good. They also had many dishes that went well with alcohol, such as ika-goro ruibe (frozen squid innards served sashimi-style).

When visiting Sapporo, kegani (horsehair crab) is one dish you should definitely try. The freshly boiled kegani at this restaurant gets great reviews, with both the leg meat and crab miso said to be excellent.
Some say it is so good that they end up eating it in silence without even realizing it. The restaurant also offers sashimi and steamed kegani on the menu.

Everything is in Private rooms, so it feels very calm and relaxing♪We had a course packed with kani (crab), and added tarabagani (king crab) sashimi! The sashimi really was amazingly good! For the kani leg shabu-shabu, I left it slightly rare, and when I put it in my mouth, it was incredibly sweet and almost melted me. I was full with the final kani zosui (rice porridge). It was a very satisfying meal. I’d definitely love to visit again when I come to Hokkaido (Hokkaido) next time!

A full crab course! Both kegani (horsehair crab) and tarabagani (red king crab) had plump, springy meat with strong sweetness, and the more you chewed, the more flavor spread out. The kani miso (crab tomalley) was rich and full-bodied, and it paired perfectly with Japanese sake. The Hokkai matsubagani (snow crab) was quickly swished shabu-shabu style for about 15 seconds and eaten with ponzu sauce. It ended with zosui (rice porridge) infused with crab broth. As expected, Hokkaido crab is fresh and delicious!

All of the crab is known for its outstanding freshness, with a sweetness and rich flavor you can really taste. To fully appreciate the crab's natural taste, they recommend trying it sashimi-style first.
At this restaurant, you will want to try not only the crab dishes but also the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) made with carefully selected ingredients.
The yakitori is carefully skewered by skilled chefs and grilled over bincho-tan (high-grade white charcoal). The heat is adjusted to match each cut of chicken, resulting in a finish that really shows professional skill.

It was my first time trying herring sashimi, and it was rich with fat and very tasty! Personally, the croquettes (potato and kabocha (Japanese pumpkin)) were my favorite. They came out freshly fried, so the outside was super crispy, and with kabocha inside, they were so sweet they almost felt like dessert. They were insanely good! It really lived up to the claim of being Japan’s best croquettes lol.

The limited-quantity "Bara Chirashi Rice bowl" is a perfect menu item for anyone who wants to casually enjoy a seafood Rice bowl. It is a popular dish that has been featured in many media outlets.
Because the seafood is cut into small pieces, it is also easy to eat. It often sells out, so ordering early is recommended.

The toppings on the Kaisendon (seafood Rice bowl) were uni (sea urchin), chutoro (medium fatty tuna), ikura (salmon roe), kani (crab), salmon, hotate (scallop), ika (squid), and tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet). It was piled high with Hokkaido seafood✨And Hokkaido seafood really is the best! I should have gone with the Large size.. The kani-jiru (crab soup) was also packed with rich crab flavor and was incredibly delicious!

The seafood is fresh, and there is a wide variety of Rice bowl options. It is nice that you can choose either kani no tsume (crab claws) or uni (sea urchin), and everything is excellent, leaving everyone fully Manzoku! The prices are reasonable, so the value is great. They also have a kani-don (crab Rice bowl) that even people who do not like raw fish can eat, so everyone could enjoy the meal together. It was also helpful that there were zashiki (tatami seating) seats where the baby could move around freely. The warm service from the staff was also pleasant, and it made me want to go again.
