Taishu Robata Komeroman.

Taishu Robata Komeroman. in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City is a place where you can fully enjoy robatayaki (fireside grilling) made with the rare Oshioka Jidori (Oshioka local chicken).

The spacious interior offers lively counter seats, easy-to-use table seating, and fully private rooms where you can relax comfortably.

The popular menu item "Oshioka jidori (local chicken) charcoal grill" is a dish with an appetizing smoky aroma from the charcoal fire.

The chicken is cooked slowly and carefully, concentrating its flavor and giving it a plump, springy texture. It is served on a piping hot Teppan-yaki plate, so you can enjoy it all the way to the last bite.

The signature "Clay Pot." dish is "Ikura-chan to Sake-san," a luxurious item topped with a salmon fillet and ikura (salmon roe) over carefully slow-cooked rice.

You can enjoy the rich flavor of the salmon and the popping texture of the ikura directly. Since it takes time to prepare, it is best to order early.

Oshioka jidori (free-range local chicken) is a rare jidori, and it was very delicious! The Clay Pot rice was also excellent, and the rice itself tasted great! Everything was very delicious! I want to go again!

Everything was good, but the Clay Pot rice was especially tasty, just as the recommendation suggests. The seasoning and the way it was cooked were perfect too. The tsukune (chicken meatball) had much more bounce than a soft texture. The liver pâté, fig butter, and gakko cheese are each served one piece at a time, sandwiched in baguette slices or monaka wafers, so it’s convenient that you can order just the number of pieces you need for your group.

Hakata Robata Fish Man

Hakata Robata Uotono is an izakaya (Japanese pub) where you can enjoy robatayaki (fireside charcoal grilling), located about a 5-minute walk from Yakuin Station in a quiet residential area of Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City.

Inside the stylish restaurant, counter seats are arranged around the open kitchen, so you can enjoy dinner while watching the charcoal flames and the cooking in action.

The photo shows robatayaki (fireside grilling) of akamutsu (blackthroat seaperch). It is said to be carefully grilled over an irori (sunken hearth), and people praise the doneness as just right.

The skin is crisp and fragrant, while the rich, fatty flesh is said to come out tender and juicy.

The photo shows the restaurant's signature "Ganso Kaidan Sashimi assortment," a gorgeous looking specialty that gets cheers the moment it arrives.

It includes 8 kinds in total, such as hon-maguro (bluefin tuna), buri (yellowtail), katsuo (bonito), akagai (ark shell clam), and ika (squid). The contents of the assortment change depending on the season and what is available, but you can always enjoy extremely fresh sashimi whenever you visit.

peachais

I had Japanese sake as the welcome drink, but I heard the shiso juice my friend chose was really good, so I ordered one as a regular drink. That was tasty too. The kamachi (greater amberjack) they grilled robatayaki-style was so tender and light, and the dashimaki tamago (Japanese rolled omelet) they made right in front of us came with bone broth that gently soaked in and filled my stomach like a soup, which was the best...

・Wagyu nikujaga (Japanese beef and potato stew)
A signature dish. It looks just like a slice of cake, so the moment it arrives at the table, you will think, "Wait, this is nikujaga?"
The bright beet sauce makes a strong visual impression, and when you taste it, the rich flavor of the Wagyu really comes through.
It is a dish you can only eat here, so I personally think it is a must-order!

Robata-yaki Isogai Tenjin Ten

Robata-yaki Isogai Tenjin Ten is a 5-minute walk from Fukuoka Station and is a great pick for anyone wanting to enjoy fresh seafood.

The lively interior has a casual, comfortable feel. There are 60 seats in total, with counter and table seating, making it easy to drop in casually.

The "Ganso! gindara (sablefish) miso-yaki (grilled with miso)" in the photo is a popular menu item at this robata-yaki (fireside grill) restaurant.

The rich gindara is said to have a nicely browned surface, while the flesh is tender and flaky. The sweet miso soaks in well, making it a great match for white rice or as a snack with drinks.

The "goma saba (mackerel dressed with sesame)" here is one of Fukuoka’s local dishes, made with fresh mackerel sashimi dressed with soy sauce, mirin, ground sesame, and green onion.

The rich fresh mackerel has a smooth, almost sticky texture, and the toasty aroma of the ground sesame is said to whet the appetite. Their very fresh "goma aji (horse mackerel dressed with sesame)" also comes recommended.

TokyoManChange

The gindara (black cod) miso-yaki (grilled with miso) also has plump, nicely cooked flesh with sweet miso soaked in well, and it goes great with both rice and sake.

KONN

Starting with the sashimi platter, everything from the salt grilled isaki (grunt) to the Kara-age of arakabu (rockfish) was impressively large, and on top of that, it all tasted great. Even small dishes like the potato salad were tasty.

Chinza Takibiya

About a 5-minute walk from Tenjin Station. Chinza Takibiya, located in Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, is a restaurant that specializes in robatayaki (fireside grill cooking) grilled over an irori (sunken hearth).

The old house-style interior has lively counter seats, where you can fully enjoy your meal while watching the robatayaki being prepared.

The "kinki (channel rockfish)" from the robatayaki (fireside grill) is finished with crispy, fragrant skin and plump, juicy flesh.

They also recommend squeezing the citrus served on the side for a change of flavor. It carries the aroma of charcoal, and some reviews said it was impressively good.

Sanma (Pacific saury) and iwashi (sardines) slowly grilled over charcoal are impressively large and very satisfying to eat.

Because the selection of fish changes with the season and daily sourcing, each visit brings a chance to discover new flavors. Many people enjoy them with carefully selected seasonal sake.

どん底から

The grilled meat and seafood, slowly cooked over sumibi (charcoal fire), are excellent, with a toasty aroma and bold flavors that make your drink go down easy. They also have a wide selection of craft beer and natural wine, which is great if you want to enjoy pairing them with the food.

We ordered the sanma (Pacific saury) because there was only 1 left today. The sanma, slowly grilled over the robata (fireside grill), was rich with fat, impressively large, and very satisfying to eat. This year’s sanma really feels like the first great season in a while, and I hope next year brings another big catch so we can enjoy this seasonal taste again.

Roan ROAN Hakata Honten

About a 4-minute walk from Hakata Station. Roan ROAN Hakata Honten is an izakaya where you can enjoy robatayaki (fireside grilling) and soba.

The “Ginzake & Ikura” is topped with sparkling ikura (salmon roe), making it a dish that brings Manzoku in both taste and looks. The rich flavor of the fatty salmon and the salty pop of the ikura go so well together that you will not be able to stop eating.

The moment it arrives, the "tokudai ebi (extra large prawn)" gives off the rich, toasty aroma of prawn grilled over charcoal.

Because it is grilled slowly and with care, the flavor is packed in tight, and the meat is said to have a plump, springy texture. You can also enjoy changing up the flavor with the mayonnaise and lemon served on the side.

This restaurant offered a calm Japanese style space within walking distance of Hakata Station, where you could enjoy skewers and fish dishes grilled over charcoal right in front of you at the counter. Every skewer was nicely aromatic, and the seasonal fish and vegetable skewers in particular were outstanding, prepared in a way that brought out the natural flavors of the ingredients.

Irori-yaki no Mise Inakaya

Irori-yaki no Mise Inakaya is located in Kego, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, a 6-minute walk from Yakuin Station.

Inside the homey restaurant, there are counter seats as well as zashiki (tatami seating) with an irori (sunken hearth), where you can enjoy robatayaki (fireside grilling) made with seasonal ingredients. One of the big draws is that you can grill and toast the food yourself.

This is robatayaki (fireside grill cooking) with ayu (sweetfish) and kaki (oysters). The "grilled ayu skewer" is said to have nicely crisp skin and plump flesh.

The balance of charcoal aroma and salt is just right, letting you taste the ingredients' natural flavor directly. The oysters, packed with rich umami, are large and very satisfying to eat.

"Ishiyaki Curry" is also one of the popular menu items, available to order as part of a course or a la carte.

Served in a piping hot stone pot, this curry is well liked for its melted cheese and just the right amount of crispy rice on the bottom. It is mildly spiced, so it is also recommended for people who do not like spicy food. It is also nice that you can choose the size.

In a calm space that still holds an old-fashioned feel, the skewers and vegetables grilled around the irori (sunken hearth) were fragrant, and I could really taste the full flavor of the ingredients slowly cooked over the fire. Every dish made with local seasonal ingredients had a gentle seasoning, and the salt-grilled fish and seasonal vegetables in particular were excellent.

Seafood, chicken, vegetables, and more all get a nice smoky aroma from the charcoal, making them simple yet surprisingly delicious. At this restaurant in Yakuin, the seafood was especially good. The kanpachi (greater amberjack) robatayaki (fireside grill) in particular left a strong impression. Sashimi, grilled sawara (Spanish mackerel). Atsuage (deep-fried tofu), fried chicken, grilled onigiri (rice ball), ara-jiru (fish head soup) The sawara that is about to come into season went well with the coarse grated daikon radish. The atsuage was also grilled over the robata, and that was great too. The grilled onigiri topped with mentaiko and the ara-jiru we had to finish the meal also made a great combo, leaving us pleasantly tipsy.

The springy texture of the shrimp goes well with the rich mentaiko mayonnaise, making it addictively good. Some reviews even said they order it every time they visit.

It was my first time visiting. I thought it might be all about beef, but while beef is the main focus, they also have tori wasabi (chicken with wasabi), basashi (horse meat), chicken neck, salads, and a la carte dishes, so there is a nice range and it made me want to come back again. The three meat assortment was also delicious and had a nice kick♪♪I will visit again♪♪

Everything is good here, but the grilled rice after the meat is especially tasty, and the Hamburger Steak tsukune (chicken meatball) is great too. Ginshari Robata Terubo teamJ

At Ginshari Robata Terubo teamJ, you can enjoy robata-yaki (fireside grilling) made with natural local fish from Fukuoka and great rice.

The interior has the feel of an old traditional house, and in addition to counter and table seating, it also has Semi-private room seating. It can accommodate anything from solo diners to large group meals.

The robatayaki of homemade nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) overnight dried fish is said to be cooked low and slow with great care, giving it tender, flaky flesh.

The nodoguro, with excess fat rendered off and its flavor concentrated, is best enjoyed with a squeeze of the lemon served on the side.

As the name includes Ginshari (cooked white rice), the restaurant is known for its great rice.

The carefully selected rice is milled only in the amount the restaurant needs, so you can enjoy its rich aroma, flavor, and pleasantly chewy texture. The Ginshari Onigiri (rice balls) in the photo also comes with a wide range of toppings, including mentaiko (pollock roe), grilled saba (mackerel), and ume (pickled plum).

流離のグルメ投資家

I had always thought amadai (tilefish) matsukasa-yaki (crispy scale-grilled) clearly fell into either not very good or really good depending on the restaurant, but the version here was extremely tasty. The scales were crisp, and the flesh was plump and very good. There were no off notes from the fish, and the scales did not prick the mouth, so it was simply delicious.

The sashimi and the majako Kara-age were all delicious, and I left Manzoku. If you order rice, there is a bit of a wait while it cooks, but that is part of the fun too. One bite of the freshly cooked rice and the sweetness of the grains spreads across your mouth. It is so good you could eat it even without any side dishes (lol)

Hakata Robata Ro Gion Honten

Hakata Robata Ro Gion Honten is a restaurant in Gion, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, where you can enjoy robatayaki (Japanese hearthside grilling).

At the counter and table seats in the calm interior, you can take in the excitement of robatayaki up close. If you want to enjoy a relaxed dinner, the Private room is recommended.

The way the squid geso (tentacles) picks up a deep charcoal aroma is also something you only get with robatayaki (charcoal hearth grilling), where everything is grilled over charcoal in one go.

The extra moisture cooks off, concentrating the flavor. The meat stays moist, while you can still enjoy the firm, springy texture that geso is known for.

The "Ganso! Hakata Miso Tororo Hot Pot" can be ordered from 2 servings, and it is a popular menu item that almost everyone who visits orders.

This style simmers Itoshima-buta (Itoshima pork) and vegetables in a rich broth, then adds burdock chips and grated yam later. It is filling and offers a high level of Manzoku.

The salmon topped with ikura (salmon roe) and the All you can eat oden (Japanese fish cake and vegetable stew) served as the otoshi (small appetizer) were the best!! Fukuoka Prefecture [Kitakyushu City]: Restaurants Where You Can Enjoy robatayaki (fireside grilling)

Okibiya Sakana

About a 2-minute walk from Heiwadori Station. Obiya Sakana Ni is a restaurant where you can enjoy robatayaki (fireside grilling) that makes the most of fresh ingredients shipped directly from their production regions.

The interior has a calm, grown-up feel with a Japanese touch. The 1st floor has counter seats, and the 2nd floor has fully private rooms, so you can choose based on the size of your group.

The "Tokudai Hotate Butter Shoyu (extra large scallops with butter and soy sauce)" features butter melting down with the heat, while the savory aroma of soy sauce just starting to char and the charcoal scent of robatayaki (fireside-style grilling) make it especially appetite-inducing.

The mellow richness of the butter and the toasty aroma of the soy sauce are said to bring out the sweetness of the scallops.

The large kama-su (barracuda) shioyaki (salt-grilled fish) is quickly grilled over charcoal in the robatayaki style, so the skin is fragrant while the flesh stays moist.

When served as shioyaki, kama-su’s clean umami and the sweetness of its fat pair well with the aroma of the charcoal and really whet the appetite.

久美@北九州

I had visited for lunch before and really liked it, so this time I tried the dinner course. The sashimi and robatayaki (fireside grilling) were both delicious. The interior, with its white wood design, creates a space with a Japanese feel. There are three types of seating in total: counter, table, and zashiki (tatami floor seating), and it also has Private rooms where you can relax and take your time.

Robatayaki (fireside grilling) and wara-yaki (straw-fire grilling) made with fine natural ingredients are served with lively performances you can enjoy watching.

The "Ika no Sugata-yaki (whole grilled squid)" is said to be plump from being slowly grilled over charcoal, with more flavor coming out the more you chew. Add lemon or mayonnaise, and it makes a perfect snack to go with drinks.

The "katsuo (bonito) no wara-yaki (straw-seared bonito)" is grilled all at once over bold flames. Simply eating it with salt brings out the aroma of the straw, making it even better, according to reviews.

The smoked aroma on the katsuo locks in its concentrated umami, and diners say they can enjoy its rich, slightly sticky texture.

The lively interior lets you enjoy your meal while watching the cooking happen across the counter. There are also Private rooms, which adds to the restaurant’s convenience.

The recommended Wagyu tail grilled with black pepper comes in two sizes, small and large, and is very satisfying.

The black pepper gives it a nice kick, and it goes great with drinks. The staff carefully pulls the meat apart for you, so it is easy to eat.

This "ginzake (coho salmon) and ikura (salmon roe) Clay Pot" comes topped with plenty of seri (Japanese parsley), and the moment you open the lid, a fresh aroma fills the air.

It is a classic combination, so you really cannot go wrong with the taste. It is at its best right after it is cooked, but if there are leftovers, you can also have them made into onigiri (rice balls) to take home.

It is said to be grilled with great care, giving the skin a crisp, fragrant finish while the flesh stays tender and juicy. You can also enjoy changing up the flavor with yakumi (condiments) such as wasabi, matcha salt, and lemon.

The signature jidasei chikuwa (house-made fish cake) is a standout item, made by carefully turning white fish into paste and grilling it over charcoal.

The surface is nice and fragrant, and the texture turns out light and fluffy. The moment you take a bite, its sweetness and umami fill your mouth. Many people end up coming back for it after trying it once.

We ordered the course, so it felt very luxurious, and every dish was really delicious! The sashimi was great〜Also, every vegetable from the robatayaki (fireside grilling) was tasty, and we were very Manzoku! It was a great meal! I would love to visit again(^^)

I visited and ordered A la carte instead of the course menu. The fresh oysters were fresh too♡ The Kara-age fried shrimp, sashimi assortment, Clay Pot rice, and more... The shrimp in the sashimi assortment was still moving. The seafood dishes were all really delicious♡
