Tokyo Niku Shabuya

About a 10-minute walk from Shinjuku Station. Tokyo Niku Shabuya is a well-known restaurant where you can enjoy Kobe beef and Tajimaguro in sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with sweet soy-based broth) or shabu-shabu (Japanese hot pot).

The small counter-only interior has the feel of an adult hideaway. It is a great pick for anyone who wants to relax and enjoy dinner at an easy pace!

Instead of a regular sukiyaki Hot Pot, it is said to be served already dipped in beaten egg mixed with dashi broth.

The moment it arrives, many people seem to think, "This is sukiyaki?" The umami of the dashi, the richness of the egg, and the meat go so well together that they just cannot stop eating.

As a restaurant specializing in sukiyaki and shabu-shabu, it also offers courses where you can enjoy comparing the two.

The kombu kelp dashi, cold brewed over 18 hours, is said to bring out the meat's flavor. The shabu-shabu, enjoyed with ponzu sauce, sesame sauce, or salt, is said to stay delicious until the very last bite.

The seasoning was really good. I chose only the sukiyaki set, because I love sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with beef and vegetables). It had the best seasoning of any sukiyaki I have ever had. The beef was very tender, and it did not feel greasy at all.

The biggest draw of this restaurant is that you can choose several kinds and compare carefully selected meigara-gyu (branded wagyu beef), such as Kobe beef, Matsusaka beef, and Miyazaki beef, all sourced in peak condition that day. For meat lovers, it is hard to resist being able to enjoy the rich flavor of the beef and the sweet fat of each cut’s unique character and differences through shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot) or sukiyaki (Japanese hotpot).

Shabu-Shabu Niimura Honten

Shabushabu Niimura Honten is about a 3-minute walk from Shinjuku Station and offers sukiyaki and shabu-shabu made with top quality kuroge wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu).

The Showa retro interior has a nostalgic feel. There are table seats and Private room options for groups of 10 or 20, so it can accommodate both small and large parties.

The "Premium Wagyu Sukiyaki Set" is a popular menu item that lets you enjoy large cuts of Spencer roll and fresh vegetables and mushrooms.

The slightly sweet warishita (sukiyaki broth) brings out the meat's rich flavor and sweetness. The staff grills the first pieces of meat for you, so you can enjoy them at their best.

The "Matsusaka-gyu (Matsusaka beef) shabu set" is a set that lets you fully enjoy shabu-shabu with richly marbled "Matsuzaka-gyu" beef and fresh Domestic vegetables.

When you swish the meat in the dashi broth Hot Pot, it almost seems to melt away. The kishimen (flat udon noodles) To finish, eaten in the soup filled with the meat's savory flavor, is also said to be excellent.

I ordered the premium Wagyu sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot)! The balance of fat and meat was great, rich and meltingly tender without feeling heavy, and it was gone in no time!! I also liked that they prepared it for us at the start!

麻友ちゃん❤️

I remembered having shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot) here a long time ago and really enjoying it. Today I decided to try sukiyaki (Japanese beef hotpot). I ordered the Matsusaka beef sukiyaki course. The meat and seasoning were both great, and it was amazing dipped in egg. Good meat has delicious fat, too. They also have a good selection of drinks ◎ The location is right in the middle of Kabukicho (entertainment district), so it is easy to get to, and I plan to come back when I want to eat sukiyaki again.

ふぁんたれもん

This is the perfect place when you want to eat sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with thinly sliced beef). The meat and vegetables were both delicious. It was also nice that we could relax in a Semi-private room. Besides the sukiyaki, the dashimaki tamago (Japanese rolled omelet) was outstanding. I think it is a dish you should definitely order here.

うまい酒しか勝たん。

I had visited for shabu-shabu a few years ago, but this was my first time trying sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with sweet soy broth), so I was really looking forward to it. I chose the leanest cut, but it still had this much marbling. It turned out to be a very satisfying sukiyaki.

You can enjoy shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot) on your own here. If it’s your first time, the staff will kindly explain how to order. It’s nice to be able to casually enjoy shabu-shabu by yourself. Both the meat and vegetables seemed fresh.

Kiyotomana

This sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot) really is as good as ever. It goes incredibly well with rice. The egg is rich too, and it makes you want another one. With 120 grams of meat and plenty of vegetables, it is a very Manzoku meal. That said, adding one extra S-size portion of meat makes it even better.

プイ猫

This is without a doubt a delicious sukiyaki restaurant. One of its biggest draws is being able to grill beautifully marbled meat yourself and enjoy it at its best. It is hard to beat the luxury of eating it at your own pace, without overcooking it, and getting it just right at a perfect rare doneness. I was worried it might not be enough, but it was more filling than I expected, and I struggled to finish the udon I ordered as an extra. The staff were friendly, and since I can enjoy sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with thinly sliced beef) here casually, I’d definitely like to come back again.

タクシーが友達

This is the kind of sukiyaki restaurant where the staff cooks it for you. In Shinjuku, I usually had sukiyaki at Shabushabu Nimuira, but this time I somehow decided to visit Kurumaya for the first time. The quality of the meat matched the price, and even though I thought I would eat a lot, I felt full very quickly. It was also easy to get a reservation, and the service was good, so I liked it a lot.

vampi550

A sukiyaki and shabu-shabu restaurant in Kabukicho (an entertainment district). Everything was very good, I was completely satisfied, and it was easy on the wallet. To finish, adding noodles and eating them was also the best part. Even when the broth cooked down and got low, the staff would add more if you asked, so I could enjoy it to the very end.

What first made a big impression was the sukiyaki made with A5-rank Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu). It was melt-in-your-mouth tender and matched the sweetness of the warishita sauce perfectly. I couldn't stop myself from reaching for “just one more slice...”. The Appetizers and seafood small plates were also carefully made, looked beautiful, and tasted authentic. Every dish was finished with care, and I could really feel the attention they put into the food.
