The sushi toppings are delicious, needless to say, and the akazu (red vinegar) rice is especially good. The restaurant also feels very clean inside, and I had a really great time there. Great drinks and sushi make the best combination.

Not only the sushi but the grilled fish is also said to be excellent.

The photo shows "mehikari (greeneyes) himono (dried fish)," which is said to have a clean, delicious taste with no strong distinctive flavor. The moment you take a bite, its sweet fat apparently fills your mouth.

KIRARA

They carefully shape each piece of sushi one by one, and the toro was rich with fat and delicious. The ika (squid) was also good, with a pleasantly springy texture and a touch of sweetness (^_^)v And the uni (sea urchin) was rich and melt-in-your-mouth, super delicious!!

The atmosphere and service are polite and pleasant, and part of the appeal is being able to watch the careful work from across the counter. The course as a whole was well balanced, but this time uni (sea urchin) still stood out far above the rest.

THE SUSHI NAGOYA Umi (Sea) KAI

"THE SUSHI NAGOYA Umi (Sea) KAI" is a sushi restaurant operating near Nagoya Station, with a strong focus on ingredients, space, and technique.

The adult hideaway-style interior is said to catch the eye with its counter made from a single slab of hinoki (Japanese cypress). Another draw is being able to watch the head chef's performance up close.

One of the draws of this restaurant’s nigiri (hand-formed sushi) is that you can enjoy how beautiful it looks as well. The shari (sushi rice) is on the smaller side, so you can fully enjoy the flavor of the neta (topping) to the very last bite.

The "nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) aburi nigiri" is said to be a standout dish, with a nice toasty aroma, rich fatty flavor, and smooth, tender texture.

The "Umi -KAI- Omakase course" gets great reviews for being delicious from start to finish, with not just nigiri but also small plates and dessert.

The photo shows the "Ikura no Ko-don (small salmon roe Rice bowl)." It is topped with so much salmon roe that it almost covers the rice completely, making it feel wonderfully indulgent.

美食家B=マツ

Every nigiri was beautiful, and the temperature of the shari (sushi rice) and the way it gently fell apart felt just right. The rich character of the akami (lean tuna), the clear look of the shiromi (white fish), and the careful work on the hikarimono (silver skinned fish) all stood out. Even looking back at the photos, you can clearly see that care and attention. The one that left the biggest impression was the aburi nigiri of nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch). The moment the fragrant seared skin and the sweetness of the fish came together and spread across the palate was so good it almost made me speak out loud.

The interior is clean, and the counter and Private room seating are separated. At the counter, the chef makes the sushi right in front of you and you can eat it on the spot, which gives the place a great atmosphere. Every piece of nigiri was amazingly good, and it was a wonderful space where you could enjoy not just the toppings on the nigiri but also eat them with the house special soy sauce or a squeeze of kabosu (citrus). I recommend it for Special occasions such as birthdays and other celebrations.

The photo shows a menu item that lets you compare bafun uni (short-spined sea urchin) and murasaki uni (purple sea urchin). It is an irresistible dish for uni lovers.

One thing that stands out about this restaurant’s course menu is how it slots in Premium meat dishes at just the right moments.

On one day’s course, they served grilled Kagoshima beef marinated in miso, and the pairing of the rich but not heavy Strip loin with the mild hatcho miso (dark soybean miso) was said to be excellent.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is calm and very nice. The staff are also very kind. The food and even the tableware were both wonderful! The abalone was great of course, but the nigiri (hand-formed sushi) was especially good after all. Especially the shrimp. The chawanmushi (savory egg custard) was tasty too. It was more than enough to leave me full! I want to go again.

The crab is served in a style where you crack and peel it yourself using scissors and other tools, so it might feel a bit challenging for people who do not get many chances to eat crab, but once you get the hang of it, it seems like you can eat quite a lot!! Of course, the crab comes with unlimited refills, so if you place another order, you can keep eating as much as you like, making it a dream come true for anyone who wants to eat until they are full.

They also have a wide variety of sushi and side dishes, and the classic French fries were a huge hit with the kids! The Kara-age was crispy, and the crab cream croquette had great cream filling and a crispy coating too! For the sushi, I ordered my favorite salmon A la carte and two 5-piece assortments, and they kindly made the toppings nicely varied, which I really appreciated♪

The toppings are also said to be excellent, including soft and tender anago (conger eel) and rich, melty salmon.

The lunch menu, which lets you casually enjoy seafood, is very popular.

The recommended choice is the “kisetsu no chirashi-zushi (seasonal scattered sushi).” In the photo, it was topped with tuna, egg, avocado, and more, and it looked good and tasted great.

・Izayoi (the sixteenth-night moon) Course
I had no complaints about any of the dishes at all, but the tempura was especially delicious, with a level of quality that would be Manzoku even at a specialty restaurant, and the sushi was also all very good. On top of that, I left completely full…(^^)It was a hugely Manzoku meal!! I’d love to come again. Thank you for the great meal!

The seasoning is very simple at its core, but that is exactly what brings out the ingredients. It has a refined taste. Even the chamame (green soybeans) served with the sawara (Spanish mackerel) hagi-yaki are delicious, and even the gari (pickled ginger) served with the sushi is the real deal.

Ginshari Meieki Nishiguchi Ten

Ginshari Meieki Nishiguchi Ten is a seafood izakaya (Japanese-style pub) with excellent access from Nagoya Station. Even though it has a casual, easy to enter atmosphere, you can still enjoy authentic sushi made by skilled chefs.

They offer All you can drink courses at a range of price points, so it is convenient to choose one that fits your budget and the occasion.

The sushi gets great reviews, with people saying it is "quality you would not expect from an izakaya."

Each piece is said to be made with large, fresh toppings that are rich with fat. You can order from just one piece, so it is nice that you can eat exactly as much as you want.

They offer not only seafood dishes but also a full lineup of meat dishes.

The photo shows charcoal grilled Nagoya Cochin (Nagoya chicken), recommended for those who want to enjoy a local specialty. It is said to have a nice springy texture, with the smoky charcoal flavor spreading with every bite.

It is very conveniently located close to the Shinkansen exit of Nagoya Station. There is a wide variety of dishes, and every one is delicious. You can also order sushi starting from a single piece. Even during lunchtime, they offer All you can drink, and since it is close to the station, I would also like to use it for a Banquet.

The sushi made with fresh seafood is appealing because you can casually order it from a single piece. The toro-taku hosomaki (thin roll with fatty tuna and pickled daikon) is especially recommended! In addition to sushi, the menu is wide-ranging, with yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), sashimi, fried dishes, and more, so you can enjoy all kinds of food.
