Sushi Nihonbashi Shimon

Sushi Nihonbashi Shimon is a restaurant inside COREDO Muromachi, also within walking distance of Kanda Station, where you can enjoy Edomae-zushi (Edo-style sushi) and wine. It is directly connected underground to Mitsukoshimae Station.

In addition to counter seats where you can enjoy the live feel of the cooking, it also has Private rooms where you can keep your personal space.

The menu centers on Omakase courses, and you can also add A la carte items. You can enjoy classic flavors based on tradition without pushing too much individuality.

For the nigiri, they use four kinds of nikiri shoyu (sweet soy sauce glaze) depending on the topping, showing the chef's close attention to detail.

Within the course, they also serve otsumami (small dishes to enjoy with alcohol) between the nigiri sushi. You can enjoy a wide range, from classics to rare items.

With more than 50 kinds of champagne and wine listed to match the food, you will want to enjoy them together.

Every piece of sushi featured fresh neta (toppings) and careful nigiri (hand-pressed sushi), and all of it was excellent, with a level of Manzoku you would not expect from lunch. The presentation was beautiful, and you could feel the care put into each piece. With its calm atmosphere and warm hospitality, I had a wonderful time. This is a place I definitely want to visit again.

The atmosphere inside is comfortable, and this is a wonderful sushi restaurant where you can feel the itamae (sushi chef)'s skill and care. I was impressed by the delicate seasoning that brings out the best in the seasonal fish and the care put into each piece of sushi. The hikari-mono (silver skinned fish) nigiri, the zuke (marinated fish), and the creative sushi made with rare cuts were especially outstanding.

Kizuna Sushi Akihabara Ten

This is a recommended spot around Kanda Station when you want to enjoy your fill of sushi. It has been featured in many media outlets, and its sushi All you can eat is popular.

The inside has a bright and lively atmosphere, and it is well known as a great place to enjoy a fun meal with family or friends.

The overwhelmingly popular option in the reviews is the All you can eat plan. One nice point is that you can use it even if you are dining alone.

What makes it appealing is that it includes about 80 kinds of sushi, including luxurious toppings like uni (sea urchin) and ikura (salmon roe), as well as about 20 kinds of fried dishes and salads. The sushi toppings are all said to be large and fresh.

Sushi is also available to order A la carte, so even those who do not eat much can feel at ease.

The Rice bowl menu beyond nigiri is also very popular, with a range of seafood Rice bowls such as the maguro (tuna) Rice bowl and uni (sea urchin) ikura (salmon roe) Rice bowl. The photo shows the "Kabuki-don," a bold Rice bowl piled high with seafood.

It was All you can eat, but every topping was fresh and very delicious. I especially ate a lot of uni (sea urchin), kani miso (crab tomalley), and hotate (scallop). The hand rolls were also filling, and the sushi rice was very good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very stylish, and the staff were lively, which was nice too. Booking ahead was definitely the right call.

藍風@腹ペコ

The winner of the day was engawa (flounder fin)! It was thick and plump. The texture was crisp and crunchy. It was about the best engawa I’ve ever had. Hiramasa (yellowtail amberjack) was also large, with a firm bite and a nice fresh feel. I tried menegi (sprout green onion) for the first time in my life, and it was good too. It’s nice that you can order by the piece. That way, you can enjoy all kinds of toppings.

Nihonbashi Sushi Tsurikin

This sushi restaurant on the B1F of Coredo Muromachi 2 is known for its homey atmosphere. It is directly connected to Mitsukoshimae Station and Shin-Nihombashi Station, and it is also easy to get to from Kanda Station.

One of its main draws is that you can enjoy sushi made with asa-dore sengyo (fresh fish caught that morning) along with carefully selected local sake.

The sushi toppings mainly use seafood sourced from Toyosu and Yokohama Chuo Ichiba (Yokohama Central Wholesale Market). One nice point is that you can easily order from just 1 piece.

The photo shows the "Jo Nigiri 16 Pieces." The nigiri are small, so they are easy to eat even for people with smaller appetites. The sushi rice is notable for being made with black vinegar.

They stock ingredients every day and serve recommended seafood dishes that change daily.

They always keep more than 20 kinds of seasonal local sake from around Japan, so you can enjoy a wide range of pairings to match your snacks.

Every topping is fresh, the balance with the sushi rice is good, and each piece feels satisfying. The restaurant has a calm atmosphere, and it is nice that it is easy to visit even alone. I think this is a convenient place when you want to casually enjoy solid sushi between shopping or work.

ぶちクン

The chutoro (medium fatty tuna) was as good as expected. Its moist, smooth fat melted on the tongue and paired perfectly with the red vinegar sushi rice. The white fish and shellfish were also very fresh, and each piece of nigiri was carefully balanced. The boiled anago (conger eel) was soft and gentle in flavor, and I enjoyed every last piece at a comfortable pace. Even the gari (pickled ginger) and soup served between the nigiri showed real care, making the whole meal feel very high quality.

Kanda Edokko Sushi Edonoya

Kanda Edokko Zushi Edonoya is a sushi restaurant just a 1-minute walk from Kanda Station, with 67 years of history since opening, and is known for its commitment to thick-cut neta (sushi toppings).

This is a neighborhood sushi spot in the machi-zushi (casual local sushi) style where you can easily enjoy Edomae-zushi (Tokyo-style sushi). It stands out for offering authentic sushi in a casual setting. The interior is said to be an unpretentious space where you can relax and have a lively time.

Seafood is sourced daily from Toyosu Shijo (Toyosu Market), so you can enjoy seasonal nigiri that matches the time of year.

At the counter, a great way to enjoy the meal is to order the nigiri as Omakase. The chefs will serve their recommended neta (toppings) based on your preferences and budget.

If you want to enjoy sushi even more casually, lunchtime is just right. They offer several kinds of nigiri sets that come with a bowl of soup, each named after a place in Tokyo.

The photo shows the “Kachidoki.” It is more filling than it looks and said to be a very satisfying set. At lunch, a Large size serving of shari (sushi rice) is free.

dr.feelman

It’s close to the station, so it couldn’t be more convenient. The atmosphere inside is nice and clean too. I felt the Omakase nigiri, soft roe tempura, saikyo-yaki (Kyoto-style miso-marinated grilled fish), and other dishes were all high level. Everything was delicious. They also have a wide selection of drinks, and I could easily see myself having one too many while trying different kinds. It’s a place I’d like to visit again and enjoy at a relaxed pace.

Of course all the sushi was delicious, but I personally loved the chutoro (medium fatty tuna), tsubugai (whelk), and anago (conger eel). The chutoro was incredibly sweet, the tsubugai was large with an amazing bite, and the anago was so tender and paired so well with the sauce that it really impressed me. The shrimp was also big, sweet, and tasty too,,

Sushi Sada

Sushisada is a long-established sushi restaurant founded in 1903, located a 3-minute walk from the west exit of JR Kanda Station. Its nigiri sushi sets and lunch Rice bowl menu are popular.

In addition to the counter and table seating on the 1st floor, seats are also available on the 2nd floor. The restaurant is said to have a compact and clean interior.

The sushi toppings are sourced fresh every day from Toyosu Shijo (Toyosu Market), and everything is said to be fresh and tasty.

There is also a wide range of sushi menu options, including courses, A la carte, and sets. Among the many toppings, the most popular seems to be the “anago (conger eel) whole piece nigiri.” People say its just right sweetness and tender texture are irresistible.

Many people visit at lunchtime, and the visually impressive "chirashi (scattered sushi bowl)" is popular.

It comes in three sizes—Regular size, medium, and Large size—and is said to be piled high with plenty of thick cut toppings. Along with seafood, it seems you can also enjoy unusual items like potato salad and satsuma-age (fried fish cake).

KICOまる

Every dish we ordered in the first half to enjoy with Japanese sake was delicious. Kohada (gizzard shad) rolled with gari and shiso, vinegared dishes, and satsuma-age (fried fish cake). And even though we were already Manpuku, the nigiri sushi that came at the end was so good that we finished it all at once. I was happy that I found kohada and nianago (simmered conger eel), which I used to dislike, delicious. The nianago in particular was fall-apart tender and excellent.

・Chirashi sushi (Large size)
The white fish had a nice crunch that showed its freshness, and the lean tuna and anago (saltwater eel) were also tasty. Since it was a Large size, the portion was quite big. In the raised center part, there were tarako (cod roe) and potato salad. It felt a little unusual at first, but since seafood and vinegared rice alone can get a bit one-note, I ended up liking it as a nice palate cleanser. It felt like a great value.

Nihonbashi Genkai

Nihonbashi Genkai is a Japanese restaurant within a 5-minute walk of Kanda, Shin-Nihombashi, and Mitsukoshimae stations, where you can enjoy a la carte dishes and nigiri sushi made with fresh seafood.

One nice point is that you can order nigiri (hand-formed sushi) from just 1 piece. The owner personally goes to Toyosu and carefully selects the toppings to buy.

The toppings and shari (sushi rice) are both on the larger side, and the nigiri is known for being very satisfying to eat. They also offer a 10-piece nigiri set.

They also offer a wide range of a la carte dishes, and you can choose from about 10 kinds of Japanese sake that pair well with seafood. The “dashimaki tamago (rolled omelet with dashi)” is one of the restaurant’s recommended items.

They use a house-made Japanese-style dashi, and they even stuff anago (conger eel) between the layers of egg. It is perfect as a casual snack to go with drinks.

This well-known restaurant lets you enjoy authentic mizutaki (chicken hotpot) and Japanese cuisine in a calm atmosphere with the dignified feel of a long-established place. The soup in particular, packed with the rich flavor of chicken, is outstanding and really shows the high quality of the ingredients. I visited alone for lunch on a weekday. I ordered the Omakase nigiri [Jo (premium)] and a ginger ale. It was the most reasonably priced option on the lunch menu, but it still had a good variety and nice volume, and everything tasted great! The restaurant was clean and had a calm atmosphere, so I was glad I could relax and enjoy my meal.

If you sit at the counter, the chef carefully shapes each piece of sushi one by one right in front of you. What stood out most were the chutoro (medium fatty tuna) and Aoriika (bigfin reef squid), both with an amazing rich, smooth texture. The moment they hit your mouth, they seemed to softly melt away, and I could not help but smile. The temperature of the shari (sushi rice) and neta (topping) was just right, making each piece feel perfectly thought out.

The oden daikon (Japanese white radish) was about three times the usual size, and it had soaked up the flavor really well, so I was very Manzoku. The Sea Bream in the otoshi (small appetizer) was made into sushi and lightly seared only on the surface on a hot stone, and it was incredibly good. We only ordered sushi and oden, but the quality was high for the price.

I loved the atmosphere, with table seating in a room that felt like a renovated kominka (traditional Japanese house). Since it is an oden restaurant, I was not sure what to get, but choosing the assortment first was absolutely the right call. The daikon radish was huge and full of flavor. The dashi broth was delicious. Everything was good, starting with the tsukidashi (small appetizer) seared sushi. The kaki (oyster) and wakame (seaweed) butter grill was the kind you cook yourself, and that was great too!

It comes with miso soup and delicious chawanmushi (savory steamed egg custard), and at this price, it feels reasonable these days considering the location. The clean interior also makes it a place where you can eat with peace of mind.

Kintarozushi

Kintaro Sushi is a sushi restaurant that has been run by three generations of the same family since 1929, and is known for its homey atmosphere.

In addition to counter seats where you can watch the owner’s knife skills, it also has tatami seating that is perfect for Banquets. The space has a calm atmosphere where time seems to pass at an easy pace.

The menu is Omakase only. The owner serves the best ingredients of the day based on his recommendations.

Seasonal neta (sushi toppings) are also used for the nigiri sushi, and the firmly shaped shari (sushi rice) has a nice sweetness and tastes great.

In addition to sushi, they also offer a wide range of small dishes, all of which are well reviewed for quality that leaves guests Manzoku.

Every morning, they carefully source Special seasonal items from ingredients gathered from across Japan at Toyosu Market, then serve them with creative touches.

Everything we ate was delicious. The specialty anago (conger eel) was especially great. The chef was also kind and easy to talk to, which made the place very comfortable. I’d definitely like to go again!

Of course I go to eat delicious sushi, but it is also fun to chat with the taisho (head sushi chef) about how things have been, talk about the toppings, hear sushi trivia, and just make small talk. Along with the taisho’s Homemade karasumi (dried mullet roe), soft roe, and the restaurant’s proud anago (conger eel), I also thoroughly enjoyed hearing how maguro (tuna) noten (head meat) came to be prepared today.

Kanda Uotaka

Kanda Uotaka, located right near the north exit of Kanda Station, is a popular sushi restaurant where you can casually enjoy authentic Edomae-zushi (Edo-style sushi) and local sake.

The bright interior, centered around white wood, is said to offer a comfortable space that feels easy for anyone to use. In addition to convenient table seating and counter seats, it also has Private room and Semi-private room options.

You can enjoy authentic Edomae-zushi (Tokyo-style sushi) made with fresh toppings and carefully prepared shari (sushi rice). The special shari made with akazu (red vinegar) is said to bring out the rich flavor of the fish.

They use fresh hon-maguro (bluefin tuna) and never freeze it at all. You can order nigiri (hand-formed sushi) from 1 piece, and they also offer set menus.

In addition to sushi, they also offer a wide range of A la carte dishes such as sashimi, grilled items, and fried items. You can order either A la carte or from a course menu, so it is easy to choose based on the occasion.

They also have a great lineup of seasonal local sake, so you will want to enjoy it with the food.

ミゾッチ

I visited for the first time for drinks after work! The sushi was great, and the sashimi was also delicious! I also recommend the Japanese sake. The sushi toppings were good, so it tasted amazing. The winter favorite "ankimo (monkfish liver) with ponzu sauce" was also nice. The satsuma-age (deep-fried fish cake) was good too.

ほいどくん

Wanting to have sashimi (sliced raw fish) and beer, I visited this restaurant. I started with a sashimi assortment and bottled beer. To finish, I had nigiri (hand-formed sushi). And then a toro-taku maki (fatty tuna and pickled daikon roll). I had often heard that tuna in Tokyo is good, and this was the day I became convinced it really is.

Sushi Kairo Nihonbashi Ten

"Sushi Kairo Nihonbashi Ten" is a popular spot just a 3-minute walk from Kanda Station, known for nigiri sushi made with fresh toppings. You can enjoy carefully crafted Edomae-zushi (Tokyo-style sushi) prepared by skilled chefs along with high-quality Japanese sake.

The interior has a clean look with wood tones as the base, creating a stylish atmosphere.

You can order sushi made with carefully selected neta (toppings) delivered directly from Toyosu Market and finished with skilled craftsmanship, starting from a single piece.

Orders are placed by mobile ordering, so you can casually enjoy as much of your favorite neta as you like. The nigiri sushi also has great shari (vinegared rice), and they do not cut corners even on the smallest details.

This restaurant is also known for delicate à la carte dishes made with high quality ingredients, something you can expect from washoku kappo (Japanese traditional fine dining).

They also offer a wide selection of Japanese sake that pairs perfectly with seasonal seafood, so you can enjoy great pairings. The sake labels change depending on what is available and the season.

Go Chouette

The interior is beautiful and clean. Soft background music plays quietly. The seating is counter only. The sushi is carefully prepared. I was able to enjoy delicious sushi at my own pace, slowly and without any stress. Sushi in a calm space is nice too.

Massow

Close to Kanda Station, this spot has a calm interior with only an L-shaped counter. The kitchen feels pleasantly close, and it is great to enjoy the live feel of watching seasonal neta (sushi toppings) shaped right in front of you. On this day, we ordered a la carte. From maguro (tuna) and blue-backed fish to shellfish and hikari-mono (silver-skinned fish), the selection was well balanced, and the toppings were extremely fresh. The fatty toro and the shellfish with their strong sweetness were especially memorable, and the drinks kept coming even from lunchtime.

Sushi Higuchi

Sushi Higuchi is a sushi restaurant on a quiet street between Kanda Station and Kodemmacho Station. It has a good reputation for serving delicious nigiri sushi.

The interior, done mainly in white, has a calm and relaxed feel. It is said to have high chair counter seats where guests can sit back and unwind.

The nigiri, served at a brisk pace that brings to mind the stylish spirit of Edomae (old Tokyo-style sushi), is said to stand out for its large size and soft shari (sushi rice) made with akazu (red vinegar).

The toppings are reportedly nicely thick and seasoned with care. It seems the course menu changes every month.

At lunchtime, in addition to the courses, you can also enjoy Rice bowl menu options that come with miso soup and a small side dish.

The photo shows the "Kaisen-don (seafood Rice bowl)." It is said to be a luxurious and highly satisfying dish, with plenty of high quality seafood on rice seasoned with just the right amount of vinegar.

ごろま

The tsumami (small dishes) and nigiri are served alternately. The tsumami cover the full range, from Appetizers to steamed dishes. The nigiri does not have overly assertive shari (sushi rice), but every topping is delicious. The chutoro (medium fatty tuna) is carefully scored with hidden knife cuts, giving it a melt in your mouth texture. The shima-aji (striped jack) is properly aged, with nice umami and texture. The aji (horse mackerel) had great fat.
