Hariju Dotonbori Honten, with a 100-year history, is a popular Osaka restaurant where you can enjoy kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) in sukiyaki (hot pot with a sweet-savory sauce) and shabu-shabu (Japanese hot pot).
The interior has a traditional Japanese feel, with spacious zashiki (tatami seating) and convenient table seating, as well as Private room options for small groups and parties of more than 30 people.

Although this restaurant is in Osaka, you can enjoy Kanto-style sukiyaki there.
The warishita sauce, made by simmering beef tendon for a long time, has a rich taste, and it pairs well with the slightly thick-cut beef, making it so good you cannot stop eating.
Photograph:taxx
With each dinner course, they also serve “seasonal Appetizers.”
On one day, you can enjoy small portions of more than five different dishes made with shrimp and hamo (pike conger), among other ingredients. Not only do they taste good, but their beautiful presentation is also sure to leave you with Manzoku.
The meat was delicious, but the vegetables were also very tasty because they had soaked up the flavor of the warishita (sukiyaki broth). Since the seasoning was nice and rich, it went really well with the rice and I even got a second helping, so I was completely full by the end. I was very satisfied with the unchanged taste.

It had been a while since I last had sukiyaki at Harijyu. The sight of the meat arranged on the plate is always stunning! Each slice is very large, tender, and rich without feeling too heavy. They carefully prepare the first slice for you, so you can enjoy it at its very best. In the second half of the meal, the vegetables soak up the meat’s flavor, making them taste especially good too!

The photo shows the “Special Wagyu shabu-shabu,” and the Special Wagyu, with just the right amount of fat, is so good with the light ponzu sauce and house-made goma-dare (sesame sauce) that you will not be able to stop eating.
If you dilute the broth used for the shabu-shabu and add udon, it is perfect To finish.

The menu offers sukiyaki and shabu-shabu in different grades, and I had the Wagyu sukiyaki. The seats are in Semi-private rooms, and each person gets their own burner, so I could enjoy the meat at my own pace, and it was very good. I would like to visit again.

・Sukiyaki Special Wagyu
We had the sukiyaki and shabu-shabu lunch sets, with only 20 servings available for each. The sukiyaki was great, with a warishita (sukiyaki broth) that was not too sweet. The meat was light yet nicely marbled, so it was easy to eat without feeling too heavy. It was at its best when we dipped the piping hot meat into the rich egg before eating it. The udon to finish the meal was also very good, fully soaked with flavor.

This was my first time having sukiyaki with tororo (grated yam). Of course, they also had raw egg, but the tororo balanced out the vegetables and pork simmered down in sweet soy sauce, so I enjoyed it all the way to the end. When the rich umami of fresh uni (sea urchin) and the salty note of karasumi (dried mullet roe) are added to the beautifully marbled loin, it turns into a rich, deep flavor that is so good you may get hooked.

The tomato risotto served at the end of the sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with soy-based broth) meal is said to be outstanding.
It is said to taste amazing, with the savory flavor of the meat and vegetables melted into the warishita (sukiyaki broth), plus the tang of tomato and the richness of cheese. There was also a review saying that even though they were full from the sukiyaki, once they took a bite, they just kept eating.

I visited this time. You can enjoy sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with beef and vegetables) at the bar counter. It was the kind of sukiyaki that felt like it soaked right into your body. I also had beer and other drinks. This bar is on the third floor of the building.

It was my first time visiting. I did not realize the restaurant was on the third floor, so the entrance was a little hard to find, but the food and service were excellent! There was a good amount of meat, and the All you can drink menu had lots of options, so I was very Manzoku!

The "WADAYA Course" features Wagyu sukiyaki as its main dish, a new take on sukiyaki topped with aromatic sansho butter (Japanese pepper butter).
The balance of the sweet and savory warishita sauce, the richness of the butter, and the fresh aroma of sansho is said to be just right, and when eaten with green onion, the melt in your mouth flavor of the Wagyu stands out even more.

Among them, the "Wadaya no Dashimaki Tamago" may be simple, but it packs in the rich flavor of dashi and is said to be perfect as a palate cleanser.

This was my first visit, and I fully enjoyed the sukiyaki course. It was great dipped in egg, and it was also really delicious with tororo (grated yam)♪

I had the most popular No. 1 course. The shabu-shabu broth was really delicious! Even if you do not know how to eat it, they will prepare the first bite for you. The small side dishes and the grilled saba (mackerel) were also delicious and made me want some rice! Even though it is not All you can eat, it is still very filling. I even got to eat the udon To finish and I was completely Manzoku♪

"Fukushima Taishu Sukiyaki Suki Roku" is a hidden gem tucked away in a back alley in Fukushima, Osaka.
The interior, renovated from a kominka (traditional Japanese house), is spread across two floors, with box seats on the 1st floor and zashiki (tatami room) seating on the 2nd floor. It has a homey feel and is so comfortable that you may want to stay for hours.

They use Kyushu-sourced Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) for their sukiyaki, and they serve freshly sliced meat only after an order is placed.
This is the "Spencer roll extra-large course." The thick-cut yet melt-in-your-mouth Spencer roll is seasoned simply with just sugar and soy sauce, and dipping it in beaten egg brings out even more flavor.

The "Meibutsu Foie Gras Niku-maki (house specialty meat-wrapped foie gras)," a rare ingredient for sukiyaki, is a popular menu item that you can enjoy only when it is in stock.
The sweet and savory sauce, the rich flavor of the meat, and the deep, full taste of the foie gras go great together, making it something you will want to eat again and again. It also pairs well with the house-made pickles, which come with free refills.
tamgochi★彡
The meat is tender and very delicious. They even make the sukiyaki sauce from scratch, starting with zarame (coarse sugar). To finish, the udon has a nice chew and is easy to eat! At the end, you can make the sauce yourself, so you can adjust the strength to your liking. The second floor has zashiki (tatami seating), and with sudare (bamboo blinds) dividing the space, it feels like a Semi-private room and you can relax!

It was a cozy, homey place with tatami seating that felt like being at your grandmother’s house. Since I went on a weekday, I was able to relax and take my time. You do the seasoning yourself, but every time they brought out the food, the staff checked in on us, so we were able to enjoy everything with great flavor the whole time. We ordered extra meat and added udon for the final course, and left completely full!!

This is the popular nanko-ume (Kishu plum) udon served as the final dish of the course.
The chewy udon has a satisfying bite, and the light aroma and tartness of the plum are said to whet the appetite. It is also said to go down easily even when you are full.

The sukiyaki course made with Evebuta pork and Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) was very good. The restaurant was also well cleaned and had a nice sense of cleanliness, and the entrance, which is the face of the restaurant, was lovely with a taste that let you feel wa (Japanese style). The staff were also pleasant, making this a restaurant with a high level of Manzoku.

For the sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with beef), the staff grills one slice for you first, and after that you cook the rest yourself.
The sweet aroma of the warishita (sukiyaki sauce) is one of its hallmarks. The top quality meat simmered in it is said to be meltingly tender, with rich flavor filling your mouth.

Like sukiyaki, you can also take your time and enjoy shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot of meat swished in broth) as a course.
The shabu-shabu made with kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) with fine marbling is said to be a dish that really shows off the quality of the meat. With the house-made ponzu sauce and sesame sauce, you can enjoy it right to the last bite.
岡山のももをたべマース
The meat was sweet and so tender it almost melted in my mouth, yet it still had a satisfying bite and was very delicious! The rice also had firm, distinct grains and a natural sweetness that paired perfectly with it. The restaurant had a calm atmosphere too, so I could relax and enjoy my meal!

I visited a sukiyaki restaurant inside Hotel New Otani. I chose shabu-shabu instead of sukiyaki, and the level of Manzoku was high. The meat was not the large-cut type but sliced to a moderate size, so each piece was not especially substantial, but it was properly tasty.

The "shabu-shabu," which comes with All you can eat Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) and vegetables plus 2 hours of All you can drink, is said to be highly satisfying since you can enjoy as much meat and vegetables as you like. There were also reviews saying they were happy with how quickly the food was served.

The portions that came out each time were on the larger side, and some slices of meat were bigger than a palm, which was great. With this plan, we did not need to order anything extra A la carte, and simply enjoyed the meat and vegetables (only), which was nice in its own way.

Shabu-shabu (Japanese hot pot), sukiyaki, and more—if you just want to eat meat no matter what, this is the place. I recommend it for those days when you crave so much meat you feel like your stomach could burst. The eggs for sukiyaki are all-you-can-have, and I have no idea how many I ended up eating.
