Sushi Yuu

"Sushi Yuu" is a sushi restaurant known for serving highly creative sushi. It has been selected for the "Tabelog Sushi TOKYO Tabelog 100".

The elegant interior has a refined, upscale feel, and in addition to the main counter, it also has a separate counter area.

Both lunch and dinner are offered only as an Omakase course, with everyone starting at the same time. Meals are limited to 2 hours.

The course also includes their signature Purin-maki, which is a registered trademark. The unexpected combination of rich ankimo (monkfish liver) and Narazuke (Nara-style pickles) is said to be part of its appeal.

The sushi at this restaurant is known not only for its taste, but also for its beautiful presentation. The "Minato-ku maki (Minato City roll)" is also a dish with great impact.

This sushi is a luxurious roll filled with uni (sea urchin), caviar, and crab, and it is said to be a one of a kind specialty.

The Minato-ku maki was especially great, and the uni (sea urchin) and akagai (ark shell clam) were also very good. The akagai had none of the usual seaside off notes, looked bright and fresh, and tasted great! We ordered extra otoro (fatty tuna), and its high quality fat melted in my mouth the moment I took a bite. I wanted to eat 10 more pieces. The hospitality was also good, and I was very Manzoku with both the atmosphere and the food, so I will definitely come back!

The portions were generous, and each piece felt luxurious! It was sushi with a high level of satisfaction. The taisho (head chef) had a very warm personality, and the conversation was easy and enjoyable. Every ingredient used was high end, and you could feel the careful work behind it. The signature purin-maki (pudding roll) and Minato-ku-maki were impressive in both looks and taste, and they especially stood out in my memory.

Sushi Noboru

Sushi Noboru is a well-regarded restaurant where you can enjoy authentic Edomae-zushi (traditional Edo-style sushi) prepared by a chef who trained extensively at famous establishments.

At the beautiful single-slab wood counter, you can fully enjoy the chef’s carefully crafted Omakase course. If you value privacy, a Private room is also recommended.

The Edomae nigiri (traditional Tokyo-style hand-formed sushi) made with fresh ingredients is prepared in ways that match the character of each topping.

The shari (sushi rice) is said to be just the right size and easy to eat. Its acidity and saltiness are nicely balanced, giving it a flavor that seems likely to appeal to anyone.

Among the many toppings, the maguro (tuna) is one they especially want you to try. Without limiting themselves to a specific production region, they source the best available at the time.

It has rich fat throughout the flesh, and they seem to boost its umami by aging it just the right amount. The photo shows hon-maguro (bluefin tuna) toro.

Mitsu-san

The akazu (red vinegar) sushi rice brings out the flavor of each topping, and every piece is prepared with great care. In particular, the hokkigai (surf clam), thick and notably sweet, was excellent, and I ended up ordering another piece. The level of Manzoku for the price was very high, and I had an elegant lunch time.

Source:Mitsu-san's review

Today’s sushi Omakase was the best! The fish was exceptionally fresh, and each bite melted juicily in the mouth. The uni (sea urchin) in particular was sweet and rich, filling the mouth with the scent of the sea. The chef was very kind, and the careful finishing touches and polite explanations really stood out. The pacing was also good, and every plate after plate was deeply satisfying. This is a place I definitely want to come back to again.

Every piece of sushi was delicious, carefully shaped in a calm atmosphere! The toppings were fresh, of course, and the balance with the shari (sushi rice) was just right, so you could feel the chef’s attention to detail in each piece. The conversation across the counter was pleasant too, and I had a very comfortable time. The restaurant has the refined feel of Ginza (upscale Tokyo district) while still being relaxed and easy to enjoy without feeling formal.

かえちゃんです

I visited at dinnertime. The nigiri (hand-formed sushi), makimono (sushi rolls), and a la carte dishes were all delicious. The quality and portion size were perfect, and I have nothing to complain about. As you would expect from a restaurant in Ginza (upscale Tokyo district). First class.

Each piece of nigiri (hand-formed sushi) is prepared with great care, and the chef’s high level of skill comes through in the way the topping is sliced, its sheen, and how well it comes together with the shari (vinegared sushi rice). The temperature is well controlled, and it pairs nicely with the toppings. The way the fat melts in the akami (lean tuna) and chutoro (medium fatty tuna), in particular, leaves a good impression. The ika (squid) is finished with yuzu peel and salt, and the fragrant accent is very pleasant.

The course includes an assortment of the day's Special toppings. One signature item you will want to try when you visit is the famous "ohagi," starring toro and takuan (pickled daikon).

This dish is said to pair the perfect crunch of takuan with the rich flavor and fatty texture of toro beautifully.

My top recommendation is uni (sea urchin) ♡ I compared different kinds〜It only has counter seating and isn’t very spacious, but the calm atmosphere and the friendly staff who chatted with me made it a very Manzoku experience.

The food, atmosphere, and the taisho (head chef)'s personality were all wonderful. Everything was delicious, but the caviar, scallops, and the squid dish inspired by ocean waves left the biggest impression. This is the kind of sushi I love. A foodie friend took me there once, and I got hooked and have visited about two more times since then. You can enjoy sushi made with white vinegar rice and akazu (red vinegar) rice. The sushi made with genmai (brown rice) is also delicious! The size of the rice, the toppings, and the overall flavor are all well balanced. Near Higashi-Ginza, the quality at this price feels almost too good to be true, and it really is great value for money.

The uni (sea urchin) in particular had no off notes, melted in the mouth, and was amazingly sweet. The anago (salt-water eel) was also rich and fatty, and paired perfectly with the sweet sauce.

Hinazushi Nishi Ginza Ten

Hina-zushi (Sushi Hina) Nishi Ginza Ten is a popular sushi restaurant where you can casually enjoy high-end sushi All you can eat. It is about a 4-minute walk from IR Yurakucho Station, and you can also stop by directly from Metro Ginza Station without getting wet in the rain.

Located on the 2F of Nishi Ginza Depato (Nishi Ginza Department Store), the calm interior is also said to be popular with guests who care about the atmosphere.

The hugely popular option here is All you can eat sushi, with 60 kinds available for both lunch and dinner. At lunchtime, they also offer set menus for one person.

Once an order comes in, the chefs carefully make each piece by hand, so you can enjoy delicious nigiri sushi to your heart’s content.

The nigiri are said to be not that large, which is why people like that they can try many different kinds.

It seems to include toppings such as uni (sea urchin), ikura (salmon roe), and nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), which are considered premium ingredients. Seasonal toppings are also added regularly, so another big draw is being able to enjoy different kinds each season.

I couldn't believe you can enjoy sushi of this quality in Ginza with All you can eat...! It was a very Manzoku moment, letting me enjoy both a luxurious feel and great value. This is a famous spot that any sushi lover should visit at least once♪

I visited at lunchtime. The first thing that surprised me was how fresh the toppings were! The quality was hard to believe for All you can eat, and each piece of sushi was carefully made, making me feel happy the moment I took a bite. The chutoro (medium fatty tuna) stood out the most. It had just the right amount of fat, and I ended up eating 20 pieces(笑)

Sushi Yoshikawa Katsu Ginza

Sushi Yoshikawa Katsu Ginza is a well-regarded restaurant where you can enjoy distinctive Edomae nigiri made with carefully selected ingredients. It is open for dinner service, which is divided into two seatings.

The modern space, built around a black color scheme, features a beautiful counter where diners can enjoy their meal while watching the chef's skill up close.

The sushi stays true to the basics of seitoha Edomae nigiri (orthodox Edo-style hand-formed sushi), while adding a bit of extra care to give it originality.

For the shari (sushi rice), they use akazu (red vinegar) made from sake kasu (sake lees) aged for 6 years, which is said to bring out the flavor of the fresh toppings in an exquisite way.

You can enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime course menu made with the best ingredients of the day. The photo shows their signature tokusei futomaki (special thick sushi roll).

This luxurious dish is packed with rich egg yolk and uni (sea urchin), and they source the fragrant nori (seaweed) from a long-established shop in Gunma.

The interior has a calm atmosphere with a black color scheme, and the seating is spacious. Starting with aburi nodoguro (seared blackthroat seaperch), the nigiri is served at a good pace. The shari (sushi rice) is quite firm and distinctive. The vinegar also comes through nicely, and it fully supports the rich flavor of the fish. The meal ends with a specialty wrapped around marinated egg yolk, followed by a seafood Rice bowl, leaving both my stomach and heart Manzoku.

What impressed me most was the hand roll with "aburi nodoguro (seared blackthroat seaperch) × tamago kake gohan (rice topped with raw egg)." The rich egg yolk and the fragrant fat of the nodoguro were in perfect balance, and this is exactly what melt-in-your-mouth means. The smoked bonito sashimi was also clean and fresh, with none of the distinctive off notes. It also paired perfectly with the jelly served alongside.

Tokyo Sushi ITAMAE SUSHI Ginza Corridor Ten

Located between JR Yurakucho Station and Shimbashi Station, Tokyo Sushi ITAMAE SUSHI Ginza Corridor Ten is a sushi restaurant that is thoroughly committed to Edomae-style natural wild caught fish.

It is recommended for enjoying sushi casually at lunch, or with drinks at night. Its friendly, easy-to-drop-in atmosphere also seems to be one reason for its popularity.

They are especially particular about using natural hon-maguro (Pacific bluefin tuna) for their sushi toppings, and they use tuna sourced from Toyosu Market.

The Special tuna they carefully select is said to let you enjoy the differences that change through the four seasons. They also have a great selection of seasonal Japanese sake, so it is well worth enjoying together.

They offer a wide variety of nigiri (hand-formed sushi) sets, all served with soup and salad.

The sushi rice is small and easy to eat, and reviews say every topping is fresh and carefully prepared. One of the best things about the place is how easy it is to stop by when you want to enjoy sushi on your own.

It may be in Ginza (Ginza), but you can drop in without feeling intimidated, and the atmosphere is relaxed rather than formal. I got pleasantly tipsy with beer and sashimi (sliced raw fish), then ordered hako uni (boxed sea urchin), something I do not usually get to order. It felt like a little luxury, and it was very tasty.
