Morimori Sushi Sannomiya OPA2 Ten

Morimori Zushi Sannomiya OPA2 Ten is a conveyor belt sushi restaurant located inside the shopping mall Sannomiya OPA2. It is a popular spot where a line is almost guaranteed.

They prepare the sushi after you order it. Even while in Kobe, you can enjoy fresh Hokuriku seafood shipped directly from Kanazawa and Noto, which is part of the appeal.

All of the sushi is said to have just the right balance in size and flavor between the shari (sushi rice) and the topping, with a steady, easy-to-enjoy taste and no off notes.

The photo shows “bincho maguro toro (fatty albacore tuna).” Reviews also said there are many toppings that are not often seen in Kobe, making it easy to end up ordering too much.

For octopus lovers, the "Tako San-ten Assortment" is hard to resist. You can compare three kinds: raw octopus, lightly seared salted raw octopus, and boiled octopus.

The "Nama-tako Shio-aburi" in particular is said to be delicious, with the searing bringing out the octopus's flavor and giving it a texture different from completely raw octopus.

We ate ika (squid), tako (octopus), shellfish, and white fish however we liked. The tsubugai (whelk) was especially bursting with flavor. Manzoku. The geso (squid legs) Kara-age was also freshly fried and very good.

As expected, the toppings are large and the rice is slightly warm. The nori seaweed on the hosomaki (thin rolls) is fragrant and tasty too. The simmered anago (conger eel) was so soft it almost melted in my mouth☺My favorite uni (sea urchin) was piled high with big, beautiful pieces. I ordered another one!

Rikimaru Sannomiya Center Plaza Ten

The sushi that the chefs shape right in front of you has earned high praise, with people saying it is "already beyond the level of conveyor belt sushi."

The photo shows the "Domestic shime-saba (vinegared mackerel)." Since it is lightly cured in vinegar, you can really taste the mackerel's natural flavor, and it also pairs perfectly with Japanese sake.

The restaurant's signature item is the hokuhoku teyaki tamago (freshly hand-grilled omelet). It is cooked after you order, and the sweet dashi flavor really comes through.

You can choose it with or without shari (sushi rice), which is nice since you can adjust it based on how full you are.

Overall, I think the fish is very fresh. It tastes great, and you end up eating it one bite after another. Just be careful, because the price can add up quickly if you are not paying attention.

The sakura-niku (horse meat) nigiri is tender with a rich, sticky texture, and the ginger adds a nice accent! The salmon zanmai (salmon assortment) features fresh, rich salmon and tastes great! The maguro zanmai (tuna assortment) has a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth tuna texture! The signature hokuhoku teyaki tamago (freshly hand-grilled omelet) is packed with dashi and has a slightly sweet flavor!

Not only is the price of each plate reasonable, but the small conveniences are also a nice plus, like the water refill button that fills your glass with one push. It is so popular that there can be a wait even on weekdays, but with this cost performance, the sense of Manzoku makes perfect sense.

Both the toppings and the shari (sushi rice) were small, so they were very easy to eat, and I ended up ordering a lot and eating plenty. The ika mentaimayo (squid with pollock roe mayo) was very good.

The prices are a bit on the high side, but for a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, the quality was high and it felt satisfying. The restaurant was clean, and the service was polite. It was relatively uncrowded on a weekday afternoon, so I could enjoy my meal at a relaxed pace. It is also an easy place for families to use.

Dr.McCOY

Not only is it delicious, but the shari (sushi rice) is on the smaller side and the toppings are large, so the texture balance is good too. The udon noodles are thin but still have a nice chew, and I enjoyed them with the Kansai-style dashi (broth).
