Akashiro Hankyu Sanbangai Ten is a stylish restaurant recommended in the Nakazakicho area. You can enjoy original menu items such as Teppan-yaki and French oden (Japanese stew dishes).
Guests also like the counter seats surrounding the kitchen, where they can enjoy watching the cooking up close like a live show.

Teppan-yaki is known for cooking meat and fish so they come out crisp on the outside and moist and juicy inside. The heat conductive iron griddle brings out the good flavor of the ingredients.
The "Beef Top sirloin Steak with Red Wine Sauce and Cheddar Cheese" in the photo is popular for its tender beef and rich flavor.

The "daikon radish Porcini Mushroom Cream Sauce" is a creative and flavorful dish that brings together oden and French sauce. It is a popular menu item that everyone orders.
The softly simmered oden daikon radish comes topped with plenty of rich cream sauce. It is the kind of dish that makes the wine keep flowing.

The first thing ordered was the restaurant's most popular dish, daikon radish with porcini mushroom cream sauce. I was surprised by the combination of daikon radish, a classic Japanese ingredient, and porcini mushrooms, a Western ingredient, but they worked together beautifully. The rich flavor of the cream sauce and the gentle sweetness of the daikon radish were a perfect match, and the aroma of the porcini brought the whole dish together with an elegant touch.

Steak, seafood, and seasonal vegetables. They grill top quality ingredients right in front of you on the Teppan-yaki grill. The way they control the heat to bring out the best in each ingredient is true craftsmanship.
The beautiful presentation and attentive hospitality, including cooking at each guest’s pace, are also well received.

The sauteed hakusai (Chinese cabbage) is a simple yet outstanding dish that gets rave reviews. It is served in the first half of the course.
An everyday hakusai turns into a surprisingly memorable dish in the chef's hands. The right amount of salt brings out the cabbage's natural sweetness, and the texture is moist and tender. It is said to build excitement for the rest of the course.

The view is outstanding, and when I want tasty meat in Osaka at a fairly reasonable price with a nice atmosphere, I always end up coming here. The restaurant atmosphere, the chef, and the clientele all felt calm, and I was able to enjoy the view, conversation, and the meat in a relaxed setting.

Teppan Sakaba Hiroshi, around Nakazakicho, is known for its atmosphere that blends right into the retro streetscape, and it is a place where you can casually enjoy Teppan-yaki and drinks.
Along with favorites such as okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) made with rice flour and yakisoba made with rice flour noodles, popular menu items also include dishes featuring seasonal seafood brought in fresh from the market every morning.

Rice flour is gluten-free, so when cooked in oil it turns out crisp and light.
The "okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancake) Buta" has a crispy outside and a soft, fluffy inside. It is also popular for being packed with pork and satisfyingly filling.
The "Mixed Horumon Doteni" has a sweet miso-based flavor. You enjoy it while it simmers on the Teppan-yaki plate.
The Horumon is simmered until meltingly tender, with a rich taste that goes perfectly with drinks. It is also said to be good poured over rice.

Here, amazingly, both okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) and yakisoba (stir-fried noodles) are gluten free and made with rice flour . The butatama (pork okonomiyaki) is crispy outside and soft inside, and the runny yolk from the half-cooked fried egg on top is irresistible. The house-made rice flour noodles for the yakisoba have a nice chew and are very satisfying.

This is a place where you can enjoy okonomiyaki and negiyaki made with komeko (rice flour). It was my first time trying both okonomiyaki and negiyaki made with komeko, and they had such a unique light, crispy texture that I absolutely loved ♪ The texture of the komeko okonomiyaki here is light and super crispy, with a kind of taste that's hard to put into words ♪♪

SAI.teppan Tenjinbashi, about an 8-minute walk from Nakazakicho Station, is a place where you can enjoy stylish Teppan-yaki.
It is in an area of Nakazakicho where the old streetscape still remains. Go up to the second floor of the small building, and you will find a surprisingly modern space waiting there.
They use carefully selected Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) for the steaks. You can enjoy cuts such as Strip loin, Tenderloin, and Chateaubriand.
The meat is tender and cooked to perfection. They also offer a wide variety of sauces and yakumi (condiments), so you can enjoy it without getting tired of the flavors.

The "grilled vegetables" served in the course are well liked for their cute assortment. The konnyaku (yam cake) in particular is apparently served in a heart shape.
The tableware and drinks are stylish and elegant too. Guests also praise the staff for their attentive service.

Watching the chef grill each item one by one on the teppan (iron griddle), along with the vegetables and meat being cooked, kept us excited the whole time. The vegetables were very good both raw and grilled, and we also had Hokkaido scallops and shrimp (their neat lineup was cute). To finish, we had Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) roast beef and Chateaubriand cooked medium. There were lots of yakumi (condiments), so we could enjoy many different flavors.

The potage had a gentle flavor with the natural sweetness of the vegetables. I ate the grilled vegetables with rock salt and ponzu sauce. The konnyaku (yam cake) was sliced into heart shapes for a stylish touch. The scallops were also cooked just right and tasted great. Today’s Strip loin steak was made with Saga-gyu (Saga beef) and cooked medium rare. I ate it with wasabi soy sauce, rock salt, and garlic chips.

Ikoku Ichijo is about a 10-minute walk from Nakazakicho Station, on Taiyuji Omotesando-suji, and is a place where you can enjoy Teppan-yaki and okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancake).
In the Nakazakicho area, this homey spot fits right in with the downtown atmosphere, and its original menu with Italian touches is said to be popular.

The "Ikoku Ichijo-yaki" is an okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) filled with slowly simmered beef tendon, then topped with a fried egg and a generous pile of aonogi (green onions).
The sweet and savory flavor of the beef tendon pairs with the slightly sweet sauce. This dish lets you enjoy a light and fluffy batter.

The "tonpei-yaki (omelet-wrapped braised pork)" is a popular menu item created by the owner, a former Italian chef. It wraps pork kakuni (braised pork belly) simmered in tomato sauce in a soft fluffy omelet.
The large and filling kakuni is said to be so tender it almost melts in your mouth, letting you fully enjoy the rich flavor of the meat.

Since I was on a trip to Kansai (the Kansai region), I definitely wanted to eat okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancake), so I happened to stop by Ikkoku Ichijo and had dinner there. Every dish was delicious, the staff were friendly, and best of all, it was such a comfortable place to be. The okonomiyaki was light and airy. I especially liked the scallops and sunagimo (gizzard) Teppan-yaki, which were really good.

From outside the restaurant, you cannot tell at all what it is like inside, so I trusted my instincts and went down the stairs through the narrow entrance, where a very relaxing space was waiting. I ordered carefully grilled asparagus and butatama (pork okonomiyaki). The taste was excellent too. The service and conversation were enjoyable, and it is the kind of place that makes you want to come back again.

The okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancake) "Mix-dama" comes with pork and seafood. It is popular for its soft, airy texture that makes it easy to finish in no time.
When you break the egg on top of the okonomiyaki, the rich yolk slowly runs out. The mellow egg goes perfectly with the spicy doro sauce, adding more depth to the flavor.

The cuts available for the "beef steak" vary depending on what they source. You order by checking the menu on the blackboard.
The photo shows the "beef Top sirloin steak." The leftover shokupan (Japanese milk bread) after the steak can be crisped up on the Teppan-yaki and enjoyed.

Yakisoba (fried noodles) comes in a wide range of flavors, including sauce, salt, and soy sauce. The staff cooks it in the kitchen, then serves it onto the Teppan-yaki griddle right in front of you.
It tastes great fresh off the stove, but if you let it sit on the Teppan-yaki griddle for a while, the noodles turn crispy and taste just as good.

The staff cook the okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancake) for you. They place the finished yakisoba (fried noodles) on the Teppan-yaki griddle. It feels nice to see how clean and well maintained the griddle is. The okonomiyaki has plenty of cabbage, so it does not feel heavy, and it goes well with drinks. The soy sauce flavored yakisoba is also lightly seasoned.

We shared Fugetsu-yaki (Fugetsu-style okonomiyaki), negi mayo shio soba, and beef tendon ponzu. The Fugetsu-yaki was loaded with ingredients, with both meat and seafood, so it was very satisfying. It had been a while since I last had Fugetsu, but it was as reliably good as ever, and I left feeling Manzoku. They cook it right in front of you, so you can wait excitedly for it to be ready.
