Steak House Matsunami

Steak House Matsunami is located on the first floor of Hotel Sunroute Asakusa.

The retro interior, reminiscent of an old castle, is part of its charm. Every seat is equipped with a Teppan-yaki grill, so guests can watch skilled chefs cook with smooth precision.

Steaks made with A5-ranked kurogē Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) are popular. Rather than limiting itself to a specific production region, the restaurant uses Special selections of what tastes best in that season.

They say you can enjoy the tender texture, sweetness, and other flavors that only high quality meat can offer.

They also offer a lunch set with juicy steak, rice, miso soup, and salad.

The "Steak Lunch" is a set built around rib steak, which is said to be appealing for its moderate marbling and deep flavor.

This time, I had the lunch course with Tenderloin. It was so richly marbled that it was hard to believe it was Tenderloin, and it was very delicious. I would love to visit again.

The brightly marbled Strip loin catches the eye, and when you take a bite, it feels tender and melt-in-your-mouth. You can really taste the sweetness of the fat and the meat’s natural savory flavor, with its juiciness standing out.

Teppan-yaki Asakusa KUDAKA

Teppan-yaki Asakusa KUDAKA is on the 7th floor of a building near Kaminarimon.

The wood toned chairs and tables create a relaxing space. At the counter seats, you can enjoy the chefs' skills up close.

They recommend the "Top sirloin steak," made with A5-ranked Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) and finished on a Teppan-yaki griddle. An experienced chef brings out the best in the meat and serves it with just the right doneness and seasoning.

It is said to be surprisingly tender, with the sweet richness of the fat spreading with every bite.

The photo menu is popular for lavishly using one whole Ise ebi (spiny lobster). The Teppan-yaki Ise ebi is hearty, and its plump, springy texture is said to be irresistible.

There is also a course where you can enjoy both steak and Ise ebi.

The main Wagyu Top sirloin was cooked medium rare and very tender, and I enjoyed it with a range of condiments such as rock salt, yama-wasabi (Japanese horseradish), fresh peppercorns, and shikuwasa (Okinawan citrus) ponzu sauce. The texture and aroma of the fresh peppercorns were especially great and tasted very fresh.

The Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) comes as an assortment of Chateaubriand and Strip loin. A nice touch is that if two people order different cuts of meat, they will serve them as an assortment.

Niku Kitchen BOICHI Hotel Sunroute Asakusa Ten

Niku Kitchen BOICHI Hotel Sunroute Asakusa Ten is located inside Hotel Sunroute Asakusa, about a 1-minute walk from Tawaramachi Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line.

The interior gets plenty of natural light through its large glass windows. With lively counter seating and table seating, the restaurant works well for different group sizes and occasions.

The “A5 rank Wagyu chunk of lean meat” is a steak that is slowly grilled while infused with a smoky aroma.

The smoke wood used for the smoking, such as sakura (cherry), apple, and nara (oak), is chosen to match the quality of the meat.

"A5 Wagyu (Japanese beef) house-made roast beef and budo-gyu (grape-fed beef) Flap meat steak Rice bowl" is a popular lunch menu item.

The roast beef, made with uchimomo (inner round), is known for its moist texture. The budo-gyu Flap meat steak has a good balance of lean meat and fat, with a refined taste.

Every meat dish served here is carefully prepared and has a deep flavor you cannot get in your kitchen at home. In particular, the meat grilled over sumibi (charcoal fire) strikes a great balance of smoky aroma and juiciness, and each dish leaves you feeling Manzoku.

• Budo-gyu (grape-fed beef) Flap meat steak Rice bowl
It gives the impression of a thick-cut version of roast beef. The savory aroma and tender meat make you feel happy.
