Beef Kitchen Nakameguro Honten

Beef Kitchen Nakameguro Honten, about a 6-minute walk from Nakameguro Station, is known as a place where you can enjoy high quality A5 rank kuromage wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu).

Inside, the restaurant offers a stylish space where you can casually enjoy Yakiniku, with chic sofa seating and fully private rooms, making it easy to use for many different occasions.

By using cutting methods suited to each part, they turn Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) into even better Yakiniku.

For rich and flavorful lean cuts, the popular choice is the rare cut "akami assortment (lean meat assortment)," which includes cuts such as kurashita (part of the Chuck Eye Roll) and shinshin (a cut from the center of the round).

The photo shows a large Strip loin served sukiyaki style, a popular item whether ordered A la carte or as part of a course.

Like sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot), you dip the grilled beef in egg before eating it. As it cooks through, the fat in the Strip loin melts out, bringing rich flavor and sweetness.

・Beef Kitchen Course
What stood out most was the signature large Oban Strip loin sukiyaki set. The staff grilled it for us, and dipping it in egg before eating made it a truly luxurious bite. My favorite was the jotan (premium beef tongue). It had a firm texture, and the more I chewed, the more flavor came through.

おもちもちかがみもち

・Assortment of lean cuts
The umami that slowly spreads the moment each cut hits the grill is different, and it really makes you feel how each type of lean meat has its own character. The moist texture and light fat never feel heavy even if you keep eating, so it stayed enjoyable right to the end, even for a celebration (*´ω`*)

Ebisu Ushimitsu

Ebisu Ushimitsu, about a 5-minute walk from the west exit of Ebisu Station, is part of a popular Yakiniku group with several sister restaurants across Tokyo.

They pay close attention to every detail, from how the meat is cut to how it is grilled. The restaurant is by reservation only and has fully private rooms throughout, making it perfect for occasions when you want to value privacy.

Thanks to the staff’s attentive full service, you can fully enjoy Yakiniku that brings out the best in high quality Wagyu.

The five type Beef Tongue assortment is a dish you can enjoy while comparing each one’s unique character, from differences in seasoning to the cut.

They also serve creative dishes that blend Yakiniku and sushi, with seared meat placed on shari (sushi rice) and eaten together with nori (seaweed).

Along with simple classic Yakiniku, this is a place where you can discover new ways to enjoy Wagyu, with seasonal flavors and seasoning added to it.

ピヨピヨ@1213

I reserved a Private room, and it was so beautiful that it made me feel quite pampered. The meal started with the first nori-maki (seaweed roll), and every single dish looked amazing and tasted great, so I kept enjoying the meal with excitement for what would come next. The staff grilled all of the meat for us, which was a service I really appreciated because it let us focus on eating. Everyone was completely Manzoku, and it was a place I would love to visit again.

All the meat is made from top quality ingredients, and you can enjoy each one with seasoning that suits it best. I was blown away by the famous katsu sando (cutlet sandwich). The meat was so good that I ordered extra thick cut gyutan (beef tongue) and sukiyaki. Of course, I also had the Clay Pot and rice, and enjoyed everything right through to the final dessert♪

The more you chew, the richer the flavor and fat become, and the balance is excellent.・Tsurapii☆☆The crunchy green pepper wraps around the good flavor of tsurami (cheek meat). Everything I tried was delicious and really impressed me. The standout was the tokusei nama tan shio (special fresh salted beef tongue). It was especially good♡The kimchi was great too. I also enjoyed that they had items you do not often see at other Yakiniku places, like mino ponzu and jajangmyeon. Since there is a 2-hour time limit, I could not stay too long, but it is definitely a place I would love to book and visit again.

akirat4

A senior Yakiniku connoisseur told me about this place, so I visited for the first time. I booked a course with All you can drink and went in ready to enjoy it. Every cut of meat looked so good you could tell at a glance it would be great. Every dish was excellent. Even the Horumon was glossy, and once grilled, the sweet richness of the fat was amazing. The finishing rice, meat, and egg disappeared in seconds.

Source:akirat4's review

The signature Horumon is all extremely fresh, and the Colon in particular is outstanding, with a rich sweetness in the fat. The lean meat is also tender, and grilling it over charcoal makes it even more fragrant and delicious. The staff explain everything carefully, which is a nice touch that lets you enjoy even unfamiliar cuts with ease. This is a great place to visit when you want good Yakiniku in Nakameguro.

Yakiniku Nabe Tonya Shikata

This hideaway-style restaurant is located on the basement first floor of a building near Nakameguro Station. Stylish Japanese decor gives the place a calm atmosphere.

The seating includes Semi-private room seats with glass partitions and views of a small courtyard garden, as well as fully private room seats that block the view from around you.

The "Uwasa no Tan Shio" is cut thin and large using an original method.

It has a different texture from the usual way beef tongue is cut, with a pleasant bite that keeps you coming back for more. The salt brings out the flavor, and the lemon gives it a refreshing finish.

Making the most of the strengths of being directly run by a meat wholesaler, this restaurant is popular for Yakiniku featuring top quality cuts and rare parts.

The signature "Shikata tare karubi" is said to have rich fat without feeling heavy, and the sweet sauce pairs so well with it that it goes perfectly with rice.

・The famous salted tongue
Shikata is a Yakiniku restaurant directly run by a butcher, about a 5-minute walk from Nakameguro Station. The recommendation is the famous salted tongue. It is well seasoned, and it tastes best when you squeeze a little lemon over it after grilling!

・Shikata tare karubi (marinated short rib)
Wow, the fat on this karubi is sweet and juicy! But it is not heavy at all! It feels like you could eat this karubi forever. Wasabi goes so well with this too♪ And it will definitely make you want white rice! So I tried putting it on rice and making a karubi Rice bowl. The karubi fat soaked into the rice, and it was so good.

Wanting to explore Yakiniku in Nakameguro, I searched on Tabelog. The name was cute, and there were many reviews saying the lean cuts were excellent, so I visited on the weekend. It was the right choice. Every cut of meat had a nice sweetness and almost melted in the mouth. I especially recommend the lean cut platter. Also, the thick-cut Beef Tongue looked great and was a very satisfying dish.

Akaminiku Janka Nakame Ten

Akaminiku Janka Nakame Ten is a new restaurant from Janka, a long-running spot in Dogenzaka, Shibuya. You head up to the restaurant on the third floor by a dedicated elevator.

With box seating and Private rooms, this Yakiniku restaurant works well for all kinds of occasions.

The "signature" Ganso! Hon-nama Wasabi Karubi is a Japanese style dish enjoyed with hon-nama wasabi (fresh raw wasabi), which is native to Japan.

Starting from how it appears in the photo, you grill the karubi (short rib) one slice at a time. The flavor of the hon-nama wasabi goes well with the fat of the karubi, making it very tasty.

You can enjoy Miyazaki-gyu (Miyazaki beef), a brand of beef from Miyazaki Prefecture that won the Wagyu championship in four consecutive competitions.

It is known for its finely marbled fat (sashi) and high-quality aroma. The top recommendation is the lean meat in particular, which is healthy and packed with flavor.

f4b8d616371

Every dish made this a really high-Manzoku Yakiniku meal from start to finish. First, the meat assortment. The marbling was truly beautiful, and just looking at it raised our expectations. Once grilled, the fat slowly melted out, and the moment it hit the mouth, it had an almost melt-in-your-mouth texture. You could still clearly taste the good flavor of the lean meat, so it was not just “fatty,” but clearly high quality.

・The original house specialty! Fresh hon-nama wasabi (raw wasabi) kalbi
The fresh hon-nama wasabi kalbi, the specialty I had been curious about. The meat, seasoned with wasabi, was served layered on top of itself. The visual impact was amazing!!! You peel off each slice and grill it! The wasabi flavor came through clearly, and it was really good! It also comes with extra wasabi, so if that is not enough, you can add more◎

The dish in the photo features glossy, beautifully shining Beef Tongue and lean red meat. Each is carefully seasoned, and the more you grill them, the more flavor comes out. The tongue has just the right bite and a nice sweetness from the fat, while the lean meat is moist and tender, letting you really taste the richness of the meat with every bite. The balance with the side dishes and wine is also excellent, making it perfect for a Special day. This is a great restaurant for anyone who wants to enjoy a high quality time.

Inside, the friendly atmosphere makes it easy to enjoy Yakiniku solo at the counter or have Yakiniku with friends over drinks at a table.

When you order Yakiniku, they seem to set up a shichirin (charcoal brazier) at your table.

As the fat from the Horumon drips onto the charcoal, the toasty aroma is said to bring out its flavor even more. Alcohol such as Japanese sake and whisky also goes well with Horumon.

They offer a wide selection of beef and pork Horumon, with no off notes or overly distinctive flavors to worry about, so you can fully enjoy their rich taste and texture.

The lineup includes kopuchan (small intestine), known for its jiggly fat, and Honeycomb tripe, the cow’s second stomach with a springy texture, and they also have a Horumon assortment.

I visited with a friend! Although it faces the main street in Nakameguro (Nakameguro), it is tucked away inside a quiet multi tenant building, so it can be a little hard to find lol. While resetting your palate with the KABTO salad, move on to the salted beef tongue, Saga-gyu (Saga beef) lightly seared with salt, then the sauce-seared dish... The way the rich flavor of Saga-gyu slowly spreads is irresistible. The marbled kalbi does not feel too heavy, and the Horumon assortment and grilled vegetables keep the balance just right ◎ To finish, the stone pot bibimbap leaves you with a solid sense of Manzoku, and the final dessert rounds out the aftertaste nicely.

This is authentic Horumon Yakiniku grilled over charcoal on a shichirin (small charcoal grill).

In addition to Yakiniku, the Osaka soul food specialty kasu udon (udon topped with crispy fried Horumon fat) is also popular.

You can enjoy charcoal grilled Yamagata-gyu (Yamagata beef) Yakiniku made with cattle carefully raised with love on a contracted farm in Yamagata Prefecture.

The quality of the lean meat is said to be delicate, with a rich flavor. Options include the "Wagyu Ryunosu Five Stars (for two)," which comes with the day's recommended Wagyu, and kalbi, which is said to have light fat.

You can order the Yakiniku menu from small portions, so you can try a variety of different cuts little by little.

There is a wide selection of Horumon, and the assortment that lets you compare different kinds looks great too. The rice that makes you want to eat it with Yakiniku is said to be freshly cooked in a kama (iron pot).

What I was most looking forward to was the tongue feast! All three in the tongue assortment were delicious, but more than anything, the original salt sauce paired perfectly with the tongue and was so good!

That was so good〜. Everything I ate tasted great. The Horumon had no off notes at all, and it was really nice that I could try a variety of cuts I like in small portions.

Yakiniku Toraji Honten

This is Yakiniku Toraji Honten, a famous Yakiniku chain with locations across the Kanto region as well as Kansai and Kyushu.

The first floor has open-kitchen counter seating, and the second floor is equipped with Private rooms with Sunken kotatsu seating for groups.

This restaurant is particular about meat quality, and the manager carefully checks and selects the best cuts every day.

The menu also features limited-quantity rare cuts such as the Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) Strip loin "T-Steak" and the "Special Thick-Cut Outside skirt."

Since it first opened, the restaurant has focused on thick-cut Yakiniku, letting you enjoy the meat’s flavor straight on.

The "Thick-Cut Salted Tongue" is said to be a satisfying dish with a great texture. They use fresh, never-frozen salted tongue and hand-cut it.

The kalbi (short rib) had just the right amount of fat and was very juicy. The tongue was thick yet tender, and each bite brought out more flavor. The cold noodles I had to finish were light and refreshing, perfect after Yakiniku. Overall, the quality was high, and it was a very satisfying meal.

Toraji!! The restaurant I usually go to wasn’t available, so I visited this Toraji instead. I’m glad Ebisu has so many Toraji locations (^^) The thick cut tongue was plump and had a great bite, and it was as delicious as ever. The staff were also kind, and I really love this restaurant!! It was a great meal!

Osaka Yakiniku Horumon Futago Nakameguro Honkan

Osaka Yakiniku・Horumon Futago Nakameguro Honkan has a grill for Yakiniku set up at each table. The grill is a model that was once discontinued and later brought back, showing the restaurant's special attachment to it.

The staff fill the place with energy, giving the interior a lively and bustling atmosphere.

Here, Special beef is served at half portions and half price. It is a nice system that makes the restaurant easy to use for solo Yakiniku or everyday dining.

They also offer courses with food only and courses with All you can drink, so it is a good fit for family meals or when you want to have drinks with friends.

The popular Horumon is fresh and carefully prepared. Among the highlights, the four item “Futago assortment,” which includes hoso (small intestine) seasoned with salt and the legendary Outside skirt, has been loved since the restaurant first opened.

Even Horumon, which can be hard to tell when it is ready to eat, is grilled right in front of you by the staff.

I visited with a friend after making a reservation for 2 on Monday night. We went right when they opened at 17:00, so there were not many other customers around and we could relax. At Futago, the staff grills everything for you, so you can enjoy it cooked perfectly! It was a great meal.

The tongue was tender and delicious. They had a wide range of meats and drinks, and the staff were cheerful and fun, which made the experience enjoyable. The kimchi was also tasty. There were also two kinds of sauce, which was nice for changing up the flavor. The chinchiro (dice drinking game) for the drinks was fun.
