Shishoku Yakiniku is a high-end Yakiniku restaurant tucked away on a backstreet, about a 3-minute walk from Akasaka-mitsuke Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line and Marunouchi Line.

The appeal here is the fully attended Yakiniku, with the meat carefully grilled to match each guest's preferences.
They use female Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) from Kabasawa Shoten, available at only 2 restaurants in Japan. Their popular items include “Kuroge Wagyu Beef Tongue” and “Outside skirt.” The wine lineup is extensive, with red, white, and sparkling options.

The "Beef Tenderloin Cutlet Sandwich" in the photo is a popular dish that people say you absolutely have to try when you visit.
You can order it as part of a course, but in response to people saying, "I want more!" you can also place an advance order when making your reservation. They serve it in a very generous portion, said to be about 3.5 times the volume of the course serving.
I visited Yakiniku Shishoku in Nishi-Azabu. In the quiet space, I had the luxury of taking my time and savoring meat that was carefully grilled one slice at a time. The Special tongue was fragrant and tender, and though simple, every bite was impressive. Even the grilling and aroma felt carefully planned, bringing out the full flavor of the meat itself. It was a quiet and refined Yakiniku experience, perfect for an adult evening.

I felt a sense of Manzoku, like I had updated my Yakiniku best list. Of course the meat was delicious, but the rice was unbelievably good too. Being able to enjoy the meat together with firm, distinct grains of rice was pure bliss. The seasoning also varied depending on the cut, so I could enjoy a nice range of flavors. Even the desserts were carefully made, and I can tell this is a place I will definitely come back to.

This Yakiniku spot is famous for being very hard to book^_^So that more customers can enjoy it, rare cuts and the famous salted tongue are limited to 2 servings per group. We were already fighting over it lol. The salted tongue is really delicious( ´ ▽ ` )The naengmyeon (cold noodles) here are also super tasty and well known. Chewy and smooth!!!

You can enjoy top quality Wagyu, cut beautifully like a work of art. Another popular point is that the staff, who really know their meat, grill it for you.
The thick cut “Beef Tongue” with beautiful marbling and the “Chateaubriand,” so tender it melts in your mouth without chewing, are the standard picks.
The rare cut called "silk loin" is prized for its delicate quality. Lightly sear it as if just brushing it over the grill, and when you bring it to your mouth, it is said to melt with the juices for a refined taste.
To finish the meal, the restaurant's style is to end with Awa no "tenobe somen" (hand-stretched somen noodles), known for their pleasant firmness and smooth finish.

Every cut of meat was high quality, and I could really taste the character of each part. The premium tongue and the Top blade that was far from ordinary were especially tender, and the more I chewed, the more flavor came through. The yaki-suki (sukiyaki-style grilled beef) paired really well with the egg and tasted wonderfully rich. The staff grilled it for us, so we could enjoy it at just the right doneness and at its best.

The meat was nicely marbled overall, and I really enjoyed it. The staff grilled the meat for us, so we could eat each piece at just the right timing and doneness, which made for the best Yakiniku experience. This area has a lot of Yakiniku restaurants, but this is one I can recommend for both its prices and the quality of the meat.

With the concept of “Yakiniku you’ll want to eat again tomorrow,” they serve Yakiniku prepared with care so it feels light and won’t sit heavy in your stomach.
They offer a wide range of courses built around premium branded beef, mainly pure Tajima-keitou-gyu (pure Tajima bloodline beef), and the “VIP Course with All you can drink,” which includes dashi (Japanese soup stock) reimen (cold noodles) and Clay Pot rice, is especially popular.

Instead of the course, we went with a la carte, but each dish was an easy-to-eat size and also very good, so we ended up finishing them one after another with no trouble. We might have been able to manage the course too. They are also very particular about the rice, and it was excellent!

Meat experts serve each cut cooked to perfection for the best possible flavor.
They offer only the “Oyaji no Kiwami” course, which lets you enjoy the meat in the best order with salt, miso, and soy sauce. Reviews also say that the two kinds of Beef Tongue, comparing thick cut and thin cut slices, made for a rare experience.
Photograph:お肉界のセレブ
Not only the lean meat but also the Horumon is said to be top class.
The mouth-melting and incredibly tasty "Horumon" is finished with Oyaji Special sauce, while the irresistibly crunchy "Omasum" is cut into bold chunks. Both dishes clearly show the restaurant's skill.

So good! I’ve had all kinds of Yakiniku, but this one was really tasty. The meat was easy to eat, and the Horumon was great too. Not just the meat, but the nama-kimchi (fresh kimchi) had a texture I’d never had before and was delicious. It was my first time trying such crisp kimchi. The tongue stew also had a rich, deep flavor and was very good. This was a high-quality Yakiniku restaurant.

The popular menu item is "Goku Tan," a rare cut of tongue with only enough for three servings from a single cow.
It is said to offer the clean bite that only tongue has, along with a meltingly tender texture that is outstanding.
Tongue lovers should not miss this dish.

The popular “Yukidoke Karubi” topped with a mountain of shiro-negi (white long green onion) makes a big impression at first glance.
It features karubi covered with green onion like a blanket of snow, giving it a light aroma and texture. The onion tones down the richness of the fat, and the pairing is so good that people apparently finish it in no time.

I had tongue, harami (skirt steak), and yukhoe (Korean-style raw beef), among other dishes. The price per person is fairly high, but the taste was excellent. The meat was tender and well seasoned. They recommend pairing Yakiniku with wine, and if you tell them your preferences, they will choose one for you, with plenty of options available. The restaurant also had a clean atmosphere, and overall it was a place with a very high level of Manzoku.

For cuts of meat and Horumon that are hard to grill, the staff will cook them for you with just the right heat.
The "Specialty: Premium Horumon" in the photo is Colon from grass fed beef, sometimes called a legendary delicacy. People say its rich umami and springy, snappy texture are seriously impressive.
Sumibiyaki Honma in Akasaka is one place I strongly recommend to anyone looking for truly great Yakiniku. The chef's dedication to meat shows in every detail, and each cut stands out for its balance of aroma, flavor, and texture. I had delicious Yakiniku for the first time in a while. Yakiniku really does make you crave it out of nowhere sometimes. KINTAN’s signature dish, the Japan’s best Strip loin yukhoe half & half, looked beautiful and had a melt-in-your-mouth texture the moment it hit the palate. What makes this place appealing is its wide lineup, with not only Yakiniku but also dishes from around the world and a good selection of whiskey.
The pictured “Tomato Reimen (cold noodles)” and “Classic Reimen (cold noodles)” are charming dishes that look as good as they make you feel. The sherbet-like soup adds a nice accent, making each bowl light and refreshing.
The interior and the Appetizers assortment felt far removed from the usual image of a Yakiniku restaurant, so we could enjoy not just the food but also the look and atmosphere! More than anything, the most wonderful part was the service from the staff,,! Built around the concept of “Wagyu itto-ryu (whole Wagyu utilization),” the menu lets you enjoy the many different cuts from a single animal.
They grill everything at once over charcoal on a shichirin (small charcoal grill), which brings out a rich, toasty aroma. The Kobe beef comes with the restaurant’s original sauce, so you can enjoy comparing the differences between each cut.

The popular menu item "KOBE BEEF Kin'iro no Kyukyoku Assortment" also looks gorgeous.
This assortment includes misuji (top blade), zabuton (chuck flap), premium salted tongue, Strip loin, and geta (part of the flank), among others. Reviews also mentioned the dry ice smoke effect, which added some visual fun.

We ordered a course meal. They showed us to a Semi-private room with a nice atmosphere. The timing of (Each) dish was also good. They also included rare cuts such as nodobue (part of the throat) from the beef, and we really enjoyed everything. It was a great meal.

Kobe beef sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot)! It was my first time visiting! The interior was spacious, clean, and calm! Since it was a Meat lover’s feast, even the starter was a delicious Kobe beef assortment! The sukiyaki did not use just loin and similar cuts, but different parts like tongue, so the flavors stayed interesting and made the meal a lot of fun!

I got to enjoy various cuts of Kobe beef at their very best, and it really showed just how great this brand of wagyu (Japanese beef) is. The original shabu-shabu made the meat’s flavor stand out especially well, with a rich, sweet taste. The here (fillet) had beautiful marbling, and it was incredibly tender, juicy, and outstanding.

Yakiniku MUGEN Akasaka Mitsuke Ten is a Yakiniku restaurant about a 3-minute walk from Akasaka Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line, and it is also well regarded for its grown-up atmosphere with views over the Akasaka cityscape from the windows.
There are counter seats, table seats, and fully private room seating, so guests can enjoy their meal at a relaxed pace. The Private room seats are popular, so booking early is recommended.
They offer authentic Yakiniku you can enjoy over charcoal, featuring high quality Wagyu. Their house made sauce, prepared in house, adds aroma and richness, and each bite is said to bring a real sense of Manzoku from the first mouthful.
They also have a good selection of red and white wines chosen to pair well with the meat, and you can easily enjoy them by the glass.

The house specialty, pork skin, "koptegi," is a fragrant dish grilled over yeontan (briquette charcoal) or charcoal. It is also a familiar ingredient in Korean street food, known for the springy texture that comes from its collagen.
The aroma that rises the moment it hits the grill whets the appetite, and it is often ordered as a snack to go with drinks.
RS560
The quality of the meat is very high, and I especially like the tongue and liver! I also had the Outside skirt and kalbi, and they went perfectly with both drinks and white rice! And on top of that! I do like spicy food, but my top recommendation is the sundubu Chige! I like the sundubu Chige here so much that I prefer it to the Chige at other Korean restaurants!

The staff were very polite, and they carefully explained the different cuts of meat and how to grill them, which helped us enjoy the Yakiniku even more. The timing of each dish was also spot on, so we could enjoy everything at its best.

The fragrant crispy scorched rice is also hard to resist, and they say its one-bite deliciousness wins you over right away.

I was satisfied with both the quality of the meat and the taste. The signature thick-cut series in particular had not only an impressive look, but also lots of flavor the more I chewed. The staff also gave me advice on how long to cook it. The interior felt clean, and while casual, it was also a calm space. There was also a wide variety of drinks, and they paired very well with the meal.

A Yakiniku restaurant with great access, just a 2〜3-minute walk from Akasaka Station. The signature “thick-cut assortment (Densetsu-mori (legendary assortment))” makes a big impact, and you can really enjoy tongue, Tenderloin, and Outside skirt. The inside is well ventilated and clean, and the Horumon and liver also pair well with rice. It stays open late into the night, so it is also convenient for stopping by after work.

Another nice point is that the staff carefully grills the meat for you, so you can enjoy it at its best.

The dining space is definitely not the kind of place that feels large and spacious, but it is lively with customers happily chatting and energetic staff, and I personally love this kind of restaurant. They carefully grill each meat dish, and each slice, right in front of you. I really appreciate that because you get to eat everything at its very best.

I had a wrap-up party with coworkers at the Akasaka branch of Yakiniku Futago. The staff basically grill the meat for you, so you can eat it at its best and focus on the conversation too. Their signature Hamideru Karubi (overflowing short rib) is an all-star mix of different cuts. The meat was so good it melted in my mouth in an instant!
