Tori to Chuhai Tori Su

Tori to Chuhai Torisu is a yakitori restaurant run by an Osaka-based group that specializes in chicken dishes, and it is about a 4-minute walk from Kanda Station Exit 3.

Inside, there are counter and table seats with chairs designed for comfort, making it easy to use for all kinds of occasions, whether on your own or with friends or coworkers.

The main menu item, yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), is made with fresh chicken sourced every day, and the newly arrived chicken is carefully skewered by hand one piece at a time in the restaurant.

You can order either a course or à la carte, and the chicken, grilled over charcoal until fragrant, is said to be tasty no matter which cut you choose.

The menu also includes doteyaki (beef tendon stew), an izakaya dish loved in Osaka, along with carefully prepared chicken dishes.

They also seem to offer a wide variety of chuhai (shochu highball made with soda). You can even try chuhai in unexpected combinations like “hiyashi-ame (chilled ginger malt syrup drink)” and “shio tomato (salted tomato).”

とらグルメ

Every yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) was properly tasty, and the tsukune (chicken meatball skewer) and Aorta stood out in particular. The tare cheese tsukune was rich and went great with drinks, and the Aorta had a pleasantly firm bite and so much umami that you keep wanting more. Also, I expected Tori Su no Kiwami Shio Kara-age to be just regular fried chicken, but it was actually really juicy with a light coating and tasted great.

For the chu-hai, I ordered mainly things you can’t usually drink at home, like hebesu (a Japanese citrus) and gari (pickled ginger), and the Domestic black tea high was a rich, tasty drink. Maybe because Osaka is their home base, the otoshi (small appetizer) had an interesting feel, somewhere between takoyaki (octopus balls) and Akashiyaki (soft octopus dumplings). The food menu also had a great selection of a la carte dishes, and it was hard to choose because so many looked good, but the shiro reba (white liver) Toro Shio Yukhoe and the potato salad are dishes I’d definitely want to eat again.

Torichu Kanda Otemachi Ten

Toricchu Kanda Otemachi Ten is an izakaya (Japanese pub) about a 7-minute walk from the west exit of Kanda Station, specializing in yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and shochu (Japanese distilled spirit).

The interior is said to be a cozy space with the warmth of wood. If you want to enjoy your meal while chatting with the staff, the counter seats are recommended.

The menu centers on chicken dishes made with jidori (free-range local chicken) raised in Kumamoto and Miyazaki. For yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), you can order an Omakase assortment or choose à la carte.

The "shiro reba (white liver)" is one of the popular items. It is plump and nicely grilled with a melt-in-your-mouth texture, and many people seem to order more.

They also have a full lineup of appetizer dishes that pair well with seafood and alcohol.

A wide variety of shochu (Japanese distilled spirit) is lined up on the shelves behind the counter, and people say it is fun from the moment you choose—whether you pick by the label or ask the staff for a recommendation.

祐天寺マン

High Manzoku! A heaven for drinkers" If you want On-the-Day reservations and tasty yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) from the à la carte menu, this is the place. The lineup of Japanese sake and shochu is just too good, and goes perfectly with great drinking snacks like their famous shio chochin (salted chicken lantern) and shiro reba (white liver) yakitori, plus oden (Japanese stew)! And even after eating and drinking quite a bit, it still comes to around JPY5,000 per person, which is a dream for alcohol lovers!

All of the food was delicious, but the one that really impressed us was the reba (liver) yakitori. They ask you to eat it within 1 minute after it is served, and once you try it, you understand why! It was by far the best I’ve had recently! Everyone agreed and ordered it again. The second skewer was just as impressive as the first.

Hirano Ya

Hiranoya is a yakitori restaurant about a 6-minute walk from Exit 6 of Kanda Station, and it is by reservation only, where you can enjoy dishes prepared by a chef with more than 30 years of experience as a yakitori craftsman.

From the entrance, the place has a distinctly Japanese feel. In addition to about 10 refined counter seats, there is also a Private room.

There are about three kinds of Omakase courses. They use Special jidori (local chicken) selected by cut and grill it over charcoal.

A popular item is the "sasami (chicken tenderloin)." It uses jidori from Kyoto, and even though it is barely browned, it is cooked just right, with wasabi adding a nice accent.

The dishes made with chicken and ingredients unique to that time of year are also popular. The plating brings out the season, making the meal enjoyable to look at as well. They also change the sauce for the after meal dessert with the seasons.

They also offer alcohol that pairs well with yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), including wine, Japanese sake, and Domestic whisky.

しおりの腹ぺこグルメ日記

The exterior has a lot of charm and looks lovely, and inside, the warm wood-grain interior gives the place a calm, grown-up feel that I really liked♡The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) made by a chef with 30 years of experience as a yakitori craftsman was truly tender, and the perfect grilling made it outstanding✨Also, the special tsukune (chicken meatball skewer) was amazing!

Starting off the skewers with sasami (chicken tenderloin)! Moist sasami with the juices locked in, cooked slowly from the surface all the way through the center! The flavor is packed inside! Sunagimo (gizzard). The springy bounce and crisp bite really stand out, and it is quite juicy! Negima, and the meat here is tender too!

Nonotori Nihonbashi

Nono Tori Nihonbashi is a yakitori restaurant on the 6th floor of a building in Kajicho 1-chome, about a 5-minute walk from Kanda Station, and among its multiple restaurants mainly in Osaka and Tokyo, this one has a more upscale feel.

It has a large counter, where you can watch the skewers being grilled right in front of you. There are also Semi-private room table seats.

You can enjoy yakitori made with jidori (free-range chicken) from Kyoto, grilled over premium Kishu Binchotan (high-grade Kishu charcoal) for a nice fragrant finish. Many people also seem to add a la carte dishes to their course.

The meal starts with the house specialty, "toriwasa (lightly seared chicken sashimi)," and from the plump, carefully grilled chicken to the soup, you can experience many different kinds of chicken goodness.

A Special course that pairs yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), chicken dishes, and the alcohol recommended by the restaurant is also popular. It is limited to one group per day.

The restaurant is also particular about its drinks, including rare Japanese wines and Special Japanese sake, and guests say they can take their time enjoying the delicate flavor pairings.

りりか姉さん

Among the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and yasai-gushi (vegetable skewers), the plump tsukune (chicken meatball skewer) and liver with tare sauce and sansho (Japanese pepper) were especially good. The liver with tare sauce and sansho was crisp on the outside and creamy inside, showing great grilling skill. It paired very well with red wine and made the meal really enjoyable.

The drinks selection was also extensive, with wine, nihonshu (Japanese sake), etc. I’m usually too full to eat much of the rice dish at the end of a course meal, but the TKG was so good that it went down so easily♡

Kushiemon Muromachi Ten

Kushiemon Muromachi Ten is a yakitori and Kara-age restaurant located about a 12-minute walk from the south exit of Kanda Station, near the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Department Store.

The interior has the warmth of wood and a kominka-style (traditional Japanese house-style) atmosphere, and it has been loved by people working nearby for about 40 years. Many people also seem to stop by casually on their way home from work.

The yakitori is seasoned with natural salt made in Hakata, Ehime Prefecture, and carefully grilled over bincho-tan (high-grade white charcoal).

The time-limited evening "Banshaku Set" is popular. It is a good-value set that includes a drink, two skewers of yakitori, and snacks such as sashimi (raw fish slices).

Kara-age is also popular as a snack to go with alcohol. They marinate thin, large pieces of chicken in sauce, coat them in batter, and deep-fry them.

At lunchtime, many people come by for the set of this Kara-age and rice. Many also enjoy it with beer.

ピロ0320

The appetizers are just right for people who enjoy drinking. I visited because I was craving yakitori (grilled chicken skewers). I think the prices are relatively reasonable. They have a nice selection of yakitori, sashimi, and appetizers. Personally, I really liked the fried ginnan (ginkgo nuts) and the shishito pepper skewer. The sashimi also came in 3-kind and 5-kind assortments, and there were more A la carte options than I expected. Also, the easy access is a big plus!

I ordered the famous Kara-age set meal. I got to try the rumored generous serving of Kara-age. From 2 pieces to 6 pieces, it is the same price, which is very cheap! On top of that, each piece is large, but I ordered a generous 4-piece portion. After one bite, this Surprising delicious Kara-age really stood out. It was tasty Kara-age with tender chicken and no greasiness.

Ise Honten

Ise Honten is an izakaya centered on chicken dishes, located under the elevated tracks about a 1-minute walk from the East Exit of Kanda Station.

The first floor has a counter and is standing style, while the second floor has a layout with small tables, and both floors are said to make it easy to stop by casually for food and drinks.

For the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), they use Date-dori (chicken from Fukushima Prefecture), which has few off notes and a nice bite. They cook it without using charcoal so they do not mask the chicken’s natural aroma.

The yakitori is said to be full of flavor and juicy across the board. It seems to be plenty tasty with just salt.

The "oyako-don (chicken and egg rice bowl)" made with Date-dori (Date chicken), egg, and dashi stock is also popular. It is said to mix two kinds of chicken, breast and thigh, so you can enjoy the difference in texture as well.

You can have oyako-don at lunchtime, and at night there is a course where you can enjoy yakitori and other dishes along with a small sized oyako-don.

くますけ01Plus

The first 5-skewer yakitori set I ordered came fairly quickly. The sasami (chicken tenderloin) here was properly cooked but not dry at all, with a faint pink center and a slightly rare finish that tasted great. I ordered a glass of Kikumasa cold sake here. It was a good pour. The remaining four skewers were of course also delicious. As expected, the thigh was plump and juicy. The liver and Heart were excellent too. They had no off notes at all and a rich, silky texture, while the Heart also had a nice bite.

I went here for a gathering with coworkers from my joining year at the company. I have been coming to this restaurant for a long time, and I visited again because I suddenly wanted to have oyako-don (chicken and egg Rice bowl) after a long time. Both the yakitori and the oyako-don were very good. The restaurant was also very lively. The staff were pleasant, and I recommend it if you want to have a fun, lively time.

Saga Fumoto Akadori (red chicken) Sakaba Takashina Kodenmacho Honten is an izakaya themed around ingredients from Saga Prefecture in Kyushu, about 1,200km from Tokyo, an area blessed with rich nature.

They carefully skewer fresh Mitsuse-dori (local chicken) delivered every morning from Saga Prefecture, then grill it over charcoal.

It is said to have a pleasant springy texture and rich flavor. Another nice point is that the assortment is served on a small warming stand, so you can enjoy it before it gets cold.

They also serve skewers made with rare cuts of Mitsuse-dori (Mitsuse chicken), as well as tori shumai (chicken shumai). The shumai is made by steaming ground chicken wrapped in a thin skin, and it is said to be juicy.

They use many vegetables and seasonings from Saga Prefecture as well, and you can also enjoy Japanese sake and shochu from Saga Prefecture.

It was delicious! This was an antenna shop for Saga Prefecture. The atmosphere and service were both great◎It feels really nice when a place greets you so cheerfully! You can enjoy lots of rare yakitori cuts. I highly recommend soriresu (oyster cut). I want to go again.

This restaurant feels like a hideaway. It had a nice atmosphere and felt very relaxing. The food was tasty, and the nama sanma (raw Pacific saury) sashimi was outstanding. Best of all, the charcoal grill dishes were excellent, and the yakitori were full of irresistible juices♥I think this is a great place for an adults' night out.

Hakata Torikawa Nagamasa Kanda Minamiguchi Ten

Hakata Torikawa Nagamasa Kanda Minamiguchi Ten is a yakitori restaurant about a 1-minute walk from the south exit of Kanda Station, where you can enjoy torikawa (grilled chicken skin), a specialty often eaten in the Hakata area of Fukuoka in Kyushu, right here in Tokyo.

Reviews also say the warm interior with natural wood accents creates an easygoing atmosphere that makes it convenient for everyday dining.

The signature Hakata torikawa (grilled chicken skin skewers) is a yakitori made over the course of 5 days. They wrap chicken skin around skewers and grill it, soak it in an original sauce and grill it again. Then they let it rest and grill it once more.

With the extra fat rendered out and the flavor concentrated, it is said to be so good that you can easily eat around 10 skewers.

You can also enjoy classic menu items found at izakaya (Japanese pubs) in Fukuoka, such as pig's trotter, mentaiko (spicy pollock roe), and goma-saba (mackerel dressed with a sweet sesame soy sauce), made with a distinctly sweet soy-based sauce.

They offer several kinds of Kyushu shochu, and their house-made coffee shochu is said to be popular for its nice aroma.

西亀有の政

I’ve heard that people in Kyushu can eat dozens of these on their own, and I totally get it. The yuzu sauce is definitely a sure thing. Before I knew it, I was probably smiling just as much. It made perfect sense that food this good would put a smile on your face. The soup at the end was also amazingly good. The food was great, of course, but the staff’s hospitality and smiles were wonderful too.

The restaurant feels very clean, and although it faces the street, a large noren (traditional shop curtain) blocks the view so you do not have to worry about people passing by looking in. The grilled chicken skin was great, of course, but the other grilled items were tasty as well. They also have a wide selection of shochu (Japanese distilled spirit), and it is nice that you can choose how you want it served.

A short walk from Kanda Station, this place is not that large inside, but it does not feel cluttered, and it has a clean, very comfortable atmosphere. I made a reservation and came in at 20:00, and it was full, which showed how popular it is. (Each) menu item had a refined taste, and the prices were not that high, so I would definitely like to visit again.

Tori Goi

Torikakoi is about a 7-minute walk from Akihabara Station. Tucked away in the basement of an apartment building, this restaurant is known for its nice hideaway feel, and it focuses on chicken dishes such as yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and tori-shabu (chicken shabu-shabu).

The monochrome interior creates a calm space. It is compact, with about 13 seats in total, including counter and table seating, and it seems to have a relaxed atmosphere.

For its yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), the restaurant uses branded chickens such as Daisendori from Tottori Prefecture and Iwaidori from Iwate Prefecture. Binchotan (high-grade charcoal) is said to give off far infrared heat, leaving the outside crisp and the inside juicy.

They also use salt from Hokkaido to bring out the flavor.

The “Torotoro Oyakodon Rice bowl” made with chicken thigh and Aichi-grown Mangetsu Tamago (full moon eggs) is also popular. The chicken is grilled over binchotan (high-grade charcoal), which gives it a nice smoky aroma and pairs well with the rich-tasting eggs.

The udon made with carefully prepared dashi from their selected chicken, as well as the Hot Pot dishes, are also well liked.

Since there are only a few seats inside, I think it’s best to make a reservation before you go. Around 8 p.m. on Friday night, it was almost completely full, including reserved guests! The reba (liver) and negima (chicken and scallion skewer) were especially good. They also have a wide variety of cuts, including rare parts like furisode (part near the shoulder) and tosaka (comb-like rare cut), so I especially recommend it for anyone who likes yakitori (grilled chicken skewers).

Even a single yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) is prepared with great care, and the grilling is spot on. The salad and otoshi (small appetizer) are also properly made, which was very satisfying. I think it offers very good value for the price. I recommend eating at the counter.

Just like the name Kushigin suggests, you can’t go wrong with the skewers! The other dishes also show good taste, including some creative originals. The staff really know how to liven up a drinking party. The place is lively and comfortable, too! No complaints at all. I even have a friend who goes there 5 times a week lol. The Kara-age daikon radish is one standout dish I really want you to try. It’s hot and fluffy inside, crispy, and juicy ^_^

The yakitori is well known for its fragrant, crisp surface and tender center, and is said to be very tasty.

The "Jidori Keema Curry," made with ground chicken stir-fried with spices, is also popular. It is said to have a different kind of good flavor from pork keema curry.

Kushiyoshi Kanda Higashiguchi Ten

Kushiyoshi Kanda Higashiguchi Ten is an izakaya centered on yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), located about a 1-minute walk from the East Exit of Kanda Station. It is open on weekdays only, and you can visit from early evening until late at night.

Inside, in addition to counter and table seating, it also has zashiki (tatami seating) that works well for groups.

You can enjoy yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) made with Mitsuse-dori (chicken from Saga Prefecture). It is said to have just the right firmness and rich flavor.

The popular items are liver and tsunagi (the aorta connecting the heart and liver). The more you chew, the more umami you get, and they often sell out.

One of the specialties is the black colored yakisoba called kuro yakisoba (black yakisoba). The squid ink black noodles are seasoned with Japanese sake, spices, and sauce, and they say it has a taste that makes you want to come back for more.

It seems many people have been coming here for years, drawn by the taste and atmosphere that have stayed the same for a long time.

グルメむらさん

The yakitori here uses Mitsuse-dori (a brand of chicken), and the meat is tender and juicy. The liver is especially outstanding, with just the right doneness. The yakisoba made with squid ink is also excellent, with an addictive taste from the first bite. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is pleasant as well, so you can relax and enjoy your meal.

Each skewer is carefully grilled, and the savory aroma is irresistible! The liver in particular was outstanding, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. Beyond the grilled skewers, they also offer a full range of a la carte dishes and rice dishes, so you can enjoy all kinds of food. It is easy on the wallet, tasty, and filling, making this a great place to visit when you want to enjoy grilled skewers to your heart's content!

Sumibi Kushiyaki Bar YTD

Sumibi Kushiyaki Bar YTD is a popular spot under the railway tracks about a 3-minute walk from the North Exit of Kanda Station, where you can enjoy delicious sumibi (charcoal-grilled) yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) in a stylish setting.

The restaurant has a homey and comfortable atmosphere. The first floor has a standing counter, and the second floor has table seating.

The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) made with Domestic chicken comes in many different cuts. The popular choice is the daily recommended 5-skewer set.

Multiple reviews say the liver is especially good. They use only liver from oyadori (mature laying hens) raised for a long time, which seems to give it a rich flavor.

They offer a wide variety of kushiyaki (grilled skewers), including vegetables, cheese, and shrimp, as well as plenty of easy snack-style dishes. The "aigamo roast (roasted duck)" is also one of the popular menu items.

They also have Banquet courses with All you can drink, and you can ask about meal gatherings to fit your budget. It also seems like an easy place to drop in for a drink even if you come alone.

こじおのグルメ

A two-story izakaya (Japanese pub) with a great atmosphere! The staff are cheerful and the service is excellent! I recommend the charcoal grilled skewers, and the liver and sunagimo (gizzard) are especially delicious✨There is also a wide variety of a la carte dishes, and the fluffy dashimaki (rolled omelet with dashi) and Domestic Wagyu tataki (lightly seared beef) go great with drinks. Personally, the omu yakisoba (omelet-topped fried noodles) tasted pleasantly nostalgic and was very good✨

I enjoyed yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) cooked over binchotan (high-grade white charcoal) until moist and tender, with a beer in hand〜! The liver was so rich and delicious that I couldn’t get enough. If you like liver, you should definitely try it at least once! The second floor has a calm atmosphere where you can relax and take your time. The first floor is a fun and casual standing style, and I loved that each floor had a different feel too⭐︎

n_nenaro

It is reasonably priced, and the menu is not too large, so you can enjoy your meal without getting overwhelmed by choices. The egg zosui (rice porridge) is also excellent, and the To finish menu is just as solid. They also have Vice Sour on the menu, so it feels like you could drink it forever lol. It was a very nice place! It is the kind of place that makes you want to come back!
