They offer Special labels from Tohoku and other regions, and sometimes they even have a rare cup available.

The aburi (seared) kinka-shime saba (vinegared mackerel from Kinkasan) is so good. I love mackerel, so this was the best. The pork spare ribs were really tasty. The Ganso Sankaku Age was bigger than I expected. But since it was fried tofu, it felt light and was seriously good. The iburigakko (smoked pickled daikon) cream cheese was excellent. The crunchy surume (dried squid) salad was delicious. After 6 draft beers, it was time for some Japanese sake. I went for Hiroki, a popular junmai ginjo from my hometown, the Black Label.

The photo shows shime saba (vinegared mackerel) placed on a bamboo stand and seared with a burner.
The live feel of this performance right in front of you and the fresh off the flame flavor of the mackerel are said to be irresistible. The rich, melt-in-your-mouth mackerel is served in a light and refreshing way with grated daikon radish and ponzu sauce.

One of the restaurant's three signature dishes is a shumai dumpling the size of a fist, known for its meaty texture and satisfying bite.
The menu has a wide range of dishes that make you want to drink Japanese sake, and the selection includes local labels as well as ones from around the country.

The menchi-katsu (Japanese minced meat cutlet) is always delicious! I end up ordering it every time. Also, the nama-dofu (fresh tofu) was great with a bit of salt. The aburi saba (seared mackerel) was served on a bamboo stand, and the searing really brought out the flavor, which was great too. They also have a wide selection of Japanese sake, and I always end up drinking too much. The Shuhei Punch is quite good too, and everything pairs well with the food. Every time, I’m impressed by the delicious dishes.

You can enjoy dishes and local sake loved in Yamagata and Miyagi. Soba, a traditional Japanese noodle dish, is also known for having developed through the soba cultures of each region.

Most of the drinks are from Yamagata. Dewazakura, Ura Gasanryu, Aratama, Hakuro Suishu, Bakuren. From Miyagi, we ordered Kenkonichi. They line up lots of tasty mountain and sea foods from Sendai and Yamagata. Beef Tongue, sasa-kama (bamboo leaf-shaped fish cake), and tama konnyaku (whole konjac balls) were as good as expected(o^^o)Surprisingly, the ham and cheese cutlet was insanely good・:*+.\(( °ω° ))/.:+

I love Yamagata soba (buckwheat noodles), so I often come here for lunch, but today I visited at night. I really enjoyed the Yamagata dishes, including dashi tofu, geso-ten (fried squid legs), tama-kon (simmered konjac balls), and ita-soba (buckwheat noodles served on a wooden board)! They also have a great selection of Japanese sake, and the kakushi-zake (house secret sake) was delicious too! You can enjoy oysters from Ishinomaki Ogatsu, delivered fresh every day, prepared in a range of ways including raw, grilled, and fried.
The grilled oysters, cooked over charcoal right at your table, are especially popular. The staff grill them to the best doneness and remove them from the shell for you.

Along with sours and shochu, you can enjoy Special Japanese sake from Miyagi.
The Japanese sake is served in easy-to-try 90cc glasses, and the mokkiri (a style where a glass is placed inside a masu box and filled generously with Japanese sake) is also recommended.

The raw oysters, hoya-sashi (sea squirt sashimi), and kujira-sashi (whale sashimi) were very good. Also, since there is a tabletop charcoal grill, you can take your time grilling and enjoy a drink while waiting for the raw dishes to arrive. The staff all provided great service, which left a very good impression. I also ordered Japanese sake to go with the food. Since each glass is 90ml, you can enjoy trying different kinds by the glass!

The ishimochi (croaker) grilled with salt had no off notes at all, and the flesh was tender and went perfectly with a drink. As you would expect from a place known for its sashimi, the assortment was amazing and a great value. It came with sawara (Spanish mackerel), tuna, soi (rockfish), tai (sea bream), octopus, grilled shrimp, namero (minced fish with seasonings), and shellfish himo (mantle), and with the presentation too, this alone felt worth it.

For alcohol, they have a lineup of local sake from the Tohoku region, mainly from Miyagi Prefecture.
This popular spot is loved for both drinks and food, whether you snack on Jogi-san no Sankaku Aburage-yaki (triangular deep-fried tofu from Jogi-san), a local specialty around Jogi Nyorai Saifukuji Temple in Sendai, or have Ishinomaki yakisoba (Ishinomaki-style fried noodles), which are steamed twice, To finish after drinks.

Vegetables from Miyagi farmers...everything is fresh. Grilled sankaku aburaage (triangular deep-fried tofu) from Jogi-san...crispier and lighter than I expected, and very tasty. Sashimi assortment...it says 2-3 servings, but it is very filling. Kinka saba (mackerel) primitive grill...the fat is clean on the palate, and this is excellent. For Japanese sake, I started with Suminoe. It is clean yet still has the good umami of Japanese sake

First of all, since it is on the 8th floor, the atmosphere comes with a great view. The staff are also very friendly, and I appreciated that they even played along with my jokes. The food features fresh seafood prepared in visually striking ways such as genshi-yaki (primitive fire grilling), and it tastes great too. They also have a wide selection of Japanese sake, with quite a few dry options that pair well with the food. The prices are not as high as I expected either, so the value for money is good.

・Kinka-saba (mackerel from Kinkasan) grilled over charcoal
The skin is nicely browned over charcoal, with a beautiful gradient from black to silver. It looks delicious before you even take a bite. The flesh is tender and full of rich fat. Since it is not dried fish, you can really enjoy its soft texture and the good taste of the fat. Add a little dashi soy sauce from the table to the grated daikon radish to round out the saltiness, and it tastes even better.

For the sashimi, I had seasonal sawara (Spanish mackerel). It came with 5 pieces, thick cut and rich—super fresh!! I also ordered chilled tomato and fried white fish! Was the tomato half of a large one? It was really big! The fry was crispy and went great with the tartar sauce! All the sushi was fresh, and the shrimp was plump! The food that matters most is all top level, with quality that leaves nothing to complain about. Rather than simply aiming for freshness, the sashimi dishes seem to be aged so each fish tastes its best. Also, the kaki no kamameshi (oyster rice cooked in a pot) moved me. First, we made a toast with draft beer. It was my first time trying Aoba gyoza, and the minced meat filling inside had some larger pieces, which made it really tasty, so I ordered another serving. Basically, everything I ate was good.

Taishu Sakaba BEETLE Sendai is an izakaya known for its mainly ko-no-ji counter (U-shaped counter), making it easy to drop in even when dining alone.
You can enjoy classic taishu sakaba dishes like ham katsu (deep-fried ham cutlet) and motsu nikomi (stewed offal) at reasonable prices. Since it is a popular spot, it is best to make a reservation if you already know your plans.

The kushiyaki (grilled skewers), popular as snacks to go with drinks, include beef, pork, chicken, and vegetables, so you can enjoy a well-balanced meal.
To go with Japanese sake, they also serve oden (Japanese stew), which is popular for its tasty broth soaked into the ingredients. One unusual oden ingredient they offer is kaiware (radish sprouts).

For drinks, in addition to local sake from Tohoku and other regions, they also recommend Hoppy, a uniquely Japanese beer flavored soft drink.
With less than 1% alcohol, Hoppy is commonly enjoyed by adults mixed with shochu (Japanese distilled spirit).

I had the impression that it gets pretty crowded, so I made a reservation before visiting. The menu was extensive, and the potato salad came with potato chips stuck into it, plus they had items like reba-teki (lightly seared liver) that you grill yourself, which made me want to order all kinds of things. I want to go back again.

I got in because I went right after opening, but even though it was lunchtime, more and more people kept coming, and within an hour the place was full. Every dish was cheap and tasty, so this is a great spot if you want to enjoy drinks during the day. The daikon radish was especially good!!

I visited for the After-Party of a Welcome and Farewell Party. I thought the selection of Japanese sake was quite good. The food was tasty. In particular, the tsubugai (whelk) sashimi and the mehikari (greeneyes) Kara-age were very good. The mehikari Kara-age was fried split open. That was quite surprising.

・Omakase meat set
We got in without a reservation. The dining area is on the smaller side, but it is clean. ☆Omakase meat set. On this day, the set came with both meat and fish. The sashimi was delicious, and the isobe-age (seaweed battered fry) was so good it was Surprising (lol). It also came with 2 drinks, so it was a good deal and nice value.

Sandaimme Shounosuke is located along Route 45 in Kakyoin, and it centers on chicken dishes that go beyond the usual izakaya fare.
Both the exterior and interior are clean and have a refined feel, with a relaxed atmosphere. It is also known for stylishly plated dishes that please the eye as well as the palate.

Centered on Nambu-dori (brand chicken from Iwate Prefecture), they serve yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and many other dishes prepared with a wide range of cooking methods and seasonings.
The yakitori is said to be delicious, with the chicken cooked just right and the amount and flavor of the salt nicely balanced, showing the owner's careful work.

Sandai-me Shonosuke uses Arita-yaki (Arita ware) tableware, said to be Japan’s first porcelain, and usuhari (thin glass) glasses, showing great care for both ingredient quality and presentation.
As for drinks, they offer Japanese sake, wine, and assorted varieties available, which seem easy to pair with a range of chicken dishes with different tastes.

It’s a nice, clean, cozy restaurant with a really good feel. This time, we went with a course menu & All you can drink. Each dish felt like it had its own theme, almost like Italian cuisine! You could really tell the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) was prepared with care. The oyako-don (chicken and egg Rice bowl) to finish the meal was very good.

Rather than a yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) restaurant, it feels more like a casual kaiseki-style place centered on chicken dishes. Each dish is full of surprises. You might be amazed to think, all of these dishes are made with chicken?? The cooking methods are that impressive. The gorgonzola dish in particular is one you should order.

The oysters sourced from the largest wholesaler at Sendai Ichiba (Sendai Market) are said to stay plump and meaty all year round.
In addition to raw oysters and grilled oysters, they offer a wide range of seasonings, including shio lemon (salted lemon).

The "Otoro Gyutan no Sumibiyaki (charcoal-grilled fatty beef tongue)" is aged with house-made spices. The smoky aroma from the charcoal brings out even more of the beef tongue's flavor, and it has a great texture.
They also offer a full lineup of dishes that pair well with drinks, including fresh fish from Tohoku and "Kesennuma-san Ika no Shiokara (salted squid from Kesennuma)." Be sure to enjoy them with the local sake selected by the manager.
Higashimono and Miyagi salmon, as well as fresh oysters, were very fresh and very tasty. The Beef Tongue was thick cut and satisfying. They also had a good selection of Japanese sake, including Junmaishu from Miyagi.

The Beef Tongue was thick and juicy, and the Aoba gyoza (green dumplings) were green and fun. The kinka-saba (Kinka mackerel) was thick and meaty, very satisfying, and delicious!!!Besides that, we also ordered potato salad, and it was tasty with iburigakko (smoked pickled daikon) mixed in. The staff were also kind, and we had a very comfortable time.

Bisutoro Taira specializes in meat, including Sendai gyu (Sendai beef), and you can enjoy it with assorted varieties available alcoholic drinks. Since there is no seafood on the menu, it is also said to be perfect for a night when you want to really enjoy meat.

We made a reservation about 1 week in advance and visited. The interior had a calm atmosphere with bright lighting, making it feel very comfortable. Aside from us, there were about 2 other groups. We ordered the Sendai gyu (Sendai beef) yuzu flavored salad, otoro (fatty tuna) sushi, and aburi otoro yukke (lightly seared fatty tuna yukhoe). Both the yukke and the sushi had a melt in your mouth kind of goodness. We enjoyed everything very much.

Robata to Oden Koronagirai Sendai Ekimae Ten is an izakaya near Aoba-dori Station and Sendai Station that draws crowds every day for its robatayaki (fireside grilling) and All you can eat oden that comes as the otoshi (table charge appetizer).
This much talked about spot has been rapidly expanding from its first location in Shinjuku, Tokyo to areas including Fukuoka, and many locals were excited to see it finally open in Sendai too!
Oden (Japanese stew of ingredients simmered in dashi broth) is a classic Japanese dish. At this restaurant, the popular starter is the “All you can eat otoshi oden,” which is said to give more than enough Manzoku for the price.
It comes with several kinds of ingredients, including standard items like daikon radish and unusual ones like shumai dumplings, and you can go pick them up from the oden corner whenever you like.
Photograph:TakeruIto
Like oden, fish dishes also pair well with Japanese sake and come highly recommended.
The colorful "ginsake (coho salmon) with ikura (salmon roe) and grated daikon radish" is said to be excellent, with the popping texture of the ikura, the rich fatty ginsake, and the refreshing touch of grated daikon radish.

・All you can eat otoshi (small appetizer) oden
Is it really okay to get this much as an otoshi? It even comes with shumai, which is Surprising. And you can get refills as many times as you want. Even the dashi broth is really good. For refills, you go get them yourself at the oden station.

Every dish is carefully prepared, and the prices are reasonable. Each item is high quality and pairs perfectly with drinks. You can warm up with oden (Japanese hot pot dishes), while also getting that sense of satisfaction from really tasty seafood and robatayaki (fireside grill cooking). It was a great spot whether for a first stop of the night or for a relaxed evening of drinks. It was a great meal! I’ll be back.
