This izakaya is about a 10-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station and focuses on Japanese sake, along with fresh seafood shipped directly from Toyosu Market and regional dishes from around Japan.
The interior is a Japanese-style space based on dark brown tones, and the decor is striking, with Japanese sake maekake (traditional shop aprons) displayed like tapestries.

The Japanese sake specially selected by the owner, whose family runs a liquor store, features brands from all 47 prefectures across Japan. They also offer courses with about 100 kinds available as All you can drink, as well as tasting comparison plans, making this an irresistible spot for Japanese sake lovers.
The rows of sake bottles lined up in the showcase are said to be a stunning sight.

The popular item seems to be the "Yumeshu☆Sengyo Hosekibako☆," a lavish assortment of premium seafood such as uni (sea urchin) and madai (Sea Bream).
The sashimi appears from billowing dry ice smoke in a presentation that feels like a tamatebako (legendary treasure box) from a Japanese folktale. It is said to be popular for the fun surprise element.
リンダマン11
A must visit for drink lovers. The selection of Japanese sake is impressive, and each dish is properly tasty. This is the kind of place where it is fun to relax and take your time while thinking about pairings. Next time, I want to compare Japanese sake from other prefectures and also try the seasonal recommended dishes.

・Dassai Junmai Daiginjo sakekasu (sake lees) pizza
It was a small pizza, but it was just right for us since we wanted to try a variety of things. It came with plenty of cheese, and they torched it right in front of us with a burner before serving it. It was almost like amazake (sweet sake) in pizza form. Even I, who am not good with alcohol, could eat it, and it was a simple pizza with a grown-up flavor.

About a 12-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station, this izakaya is tucked away one alley off Kabukicho Ichibangai, a busy entertainment street, and is also popular for its hideaway feel.
With a “modern chashitsu (tea room)” concept, the space is said to feature touches of traditional Japanese beauty, including an entrance modeled after a nijiriguchi (small tea room entrance).
They serve ochazuke (rice with tea or broth) made with their carefully crafted dashi (soup stock) as the main dish, along with a la carte dishes that bring out the rich flavor of the dashi.
The drink lineup is also diverse, as you would expect from a bar, with everything from original cocktails and beer to rare Japanese sake shipped directly from the brewery.
Photograph:d1282c
Ochazuke made with a blend of Special Domestic branded white rice and brown rice is well liked. The dashi, made by combining flying fish broth, kombu kelp, and katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes), is said to have a gentle, comforting taste.
People often order it not only as a meal, but also as a great way to finish after drinking.
ging1216
The menu focuses on creative Japanese cuisine, and every dish pairs well with drinks. Best of all is the To finish ochazuke (rice in tea broth)! You can choose your own toppings, and the dashi broth has deep umami. Its gentle flavor really hits the spot after a few drinks, and it makes you want to come back just for this.

I thought they only served ochazuke (rice in broth), but the other menu items were also extensive and very tasty. We enjoyed cheese mentaiko shumai, ankake omelet, tempura of cream cheese and ooba (perilla leaf), and to finish, kanpachi (greater amberjack) ochazuke, while my companion had sake ikura ochazuke. Both the rice and the dashi were very good.

A Korean izakaya specializing in makgeolli and chijimi (Korean savory pancake), located about a 5-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station and across from Nishi-Okubo Park.
The exterior, full of Korean charm, is bright and eye-catching, and the decorations change with the seasons. At night, lanterns and neon lights glow, creating a photogenic atmosphere that makes you want to take pictures.
Photograph:木村 隆一
In addition to standard menu items like Korean pancakes, Chige, and cheese dak-galbi, this spot is known for offering more than 100 kinds of authentic Korean dishes, including Hot Pot dishes and noodles.
The drink selection is also extensive, with more than 70 options including makgeolli (Korean rice wine) and soju. Even while in Japan, you can feel a bit like you are on a trip to Korea.
Photograph:くい_しんぼう
The signature chijimi (Korean savory pancake) is said to be crisp, fragrant, packed with ingredients, and excellent. In the "chijimi assortment" shown in the photo, you can enjoy small portions of 8 flavors, including goma no ha (sesame leaves), mushrooms, tofu, and zucchini.
It is also perfect for sharing with a large group or when you want to compare different kinds.
むっくり30769
The cheese dak-galbi (spicy stir-fried chicken with cheese) was a great match of melty cheese and a mildly spicy kimchi sauce, and it felt like eating a “crustless pizza.” The flavor was really addictive. My favorite was the hakusai chijimi (Chinese cabbage Korean pancake). It was crisp and fragrant on the outside, and soft inside. It paired well with the sauce too, and I couldn’t stop eating it.

An 11-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station, this yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) izakaya sits along Hanamichi-dori. In the open kitchen, which features a stone grilling station, you can enjoy the charcoal flames and the chefs' skill up close.
There are also zashiki (tatami seating) seats where you can relax after taking off your shoes, and enjoy authentic yakitori in a calm atmosphere.

The skewers use Date-dori (brand jidori chicken). The yakitori, grilled over binchotan (high-grade charcoal), is said to be fragrant and juicy.
Popular choices include the "kashiwa" and "negima," as well as the rare cut "chochin." It is also recommended to enjoy pairings with Japanese sake, shochu, and wine to match the food.
Photograph:あっこ870805
The special oden (Japanese hot pot stew) made with a blend of chicken stock and bonito stock is also a must try dish. It is also said to be perfect as a palate cleanser between bites of yakitori (grilled chicken skewers).
The flavor of the stock soaks into ingredients such as slowly simmered daikon radish, making for a comforting taste that warms you right to the core.
MiK.
What stood out most were the kashiwa (chicken), furiso (part of the shoulder), and Heart. The skin was crisp, the meat was plump and juicy, and the salt level was spot on! The Heart had no off notes and was very easy to eat. It was also nice to snack on oden (Japanese stew) while waiting for the grilled items. The restaurant’s recommended oyako-don (chicken and egg rice bowl) had a gentle dashi flavor.

The hatsumoto (base of the Heart) is fragrant on the outside and tender inside. With every bite, juices spill out, and the perfect grilling makes you let out an impressed sigh. The rare cut chonchin has a deep yet clear savory taste, giving it a presence that sets it apart from the other skewers.

The three skewers I especially liked were negima (chicken and scallion skewer), liver, and quail eggs! The negima actually uses onion instead of scallion, and the sweetness of the onion and the rich flavor of the chicken spread through your mouth in a great balance! The liver was absolutely amazing, so soft and creamy, with zero off notes or dryness. Personally, it was the best liver I’ve ever had.

もぐもぐうさぎ024
The skewers started with Aorta. From the moment it was set on the plate, the glossy tare sauce got my appetite going, and when I took a bite, I was won over by its nice springy texture and the aroma of charcoal... More skewers followed, and among the non-meat items, the quail egg especially surprised me. It was soft-boiled, with a rich taste I had never had before.

Each skewer had its own clear character by cut, with the texture and richness of the fat controlled beautifully. The thigh meat was juicy, the liver had deep flavor, the tsukune (chicken meatball) had just the right springiness, and the tebaski (chicken wing tip) was grilled to a nice golden aroma. Each one stood out on its own, while still keeping the overall progression well balanced. The grilled vegetables and quail eggs served in between also had more presence than just palate cleansers.

It is said to come out nicely browned on the outside and plump and tender inside. It offers a rich taste that brings out the natural umami of the Wagyu and the sweetness of its fat.

The All you can eat yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and yasai-maki (vegetable wrapped skewers) is amazing lol. First, 5 skewers chosen by the staff arrived, and after that we could order more, so we ordered a lot! Since they bring them out fresh off the grill, they come piping hot with a light salty taste and are really good! Everything comes lightly salted, so you can season them to your liking with the salt on the table! Also, if you ask the staff, they will give you tare (sweet soy based sauce), so it was great that we could adjust everything to our own taste!

・Crab cream croquette
This is the restaurant's proud croquette, with a crisp sound when you press it with chopsticks! Inside is plenty of rich, melty cream, and when you take a bite, its deep flavor and crab taste spread across your mouth!✨Adding chuno sauce (medium-thick Japanese sauce) gives it an extra layer of savory flavor and makes it even more satisfying!

About a 13-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station, this izakaya (Japanese pub) is popular for its calm Japanese modern atmosphere that makes you forget the bustle of Shinjuku, making it perfect when you want to relax and enjoy food and drinks.
Inside, in addition to table seating that is perfect for a Banquet, there are also fully private rooms.

You can enjoy dishes made with carefully selected ingredients such as nama uni (fresh sea urchin), natural honmaguro (Pacific bluefin tuna), and Kyushu jidori (local chicken). The robatayaki (charcoal hearth-grilled dishes), with seafood and brand pork grilled over binchotan (high-grade white charcoal), is said to be a must-try.
They Special select more than 30 kinds of Japanese sake, including rare famous labels such as "Juyondai" and "Jikon." It also sounds like a great place to enjoy pairings with the food.

The house specialty, "Hitokuchi no Shiawase Gyuniku Uni," is a luxurious dish of kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) topped with plenty of fresh uni (sea urchin). The moment it hits your mouth, the rich flavor of the beef and the sweetness of the uni melt together and spread into a blissful taste.
It is not only delicious, but also well reviewed for its beautiful, photo worthy presentation.

For robatayaki (fireside grilling), they grill hokkaido-san (from Hokkaido) hokke (Atka mackerel) over charcoal. The skin is fragrant and nicely browned, while the flesh is plump and juicy. The charcoal grilled Hyuga jidori (free-range chicken from Hyuga) lets you enjoy the juicy thigh and the light breast meat at the same time, and yuzu kosho (yuzu chili paste) tightens up the flavor even more. The yamaimo Kara-age is crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. It is a simple dish, but the texture is so pleasing that I kept reaching for more.

This izakaya is about a 14-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station, along Kabukicho Ichibangai, and focuses on Horumon and motsu dishes.
Another draw is that you can enjoy your meal at a relaxed pace, surrounded by calm lighting and the warmth of wood.
Photograph:きたろー
The menu offers a wide range of items, including their signature motsu-nabe (offal Hot Pot), kushiyaki (grilled skewers), and niku-sashi (meat sashimi). The Horumon uses exceptionally fresh cuts delivered straight from the slaughterhouse.
You can order the kushiyaki from just 1 skewer, which is a nice plus since it lets you try a variety of kinds little by little.

The “toro reba-sashi (low-temperature cooked rich liver sashimi)” is made by finishing fatty liver with low-temperature cooking, and it is said to be a popular menu item with many fans.
It is known for its plump texture and refined taste with no off notes, and when eaten with sesame oil or grated garlic, the richness and aroma are said to open up even more.

・Reba-ni-ra
This dish is cooked right in front of you. It is so delicious that you should definitely order it. They grill it on a Teppan-yaki plate, then add the sauce and simmer it. Finally, they top it with egg yolk. You can also order an extra raw egg, so I recommend changing up the flavor partway through by having it with simmered eggs.

・Wagyu motsu Hot Pot
This Hot Pot was packed with plump pieces of Wagyu motsu (offal). The tofu was sliced thin, which was nice for anyone sensitive to hot food. I really liked the cut and size of the green onions. For the finishing dish, you can choose zosui (rice porridge) or noodles. I didn’t try the zosui, so I can’t compare them, but the noodles went so well with the soup that I was glad I chose them.

This yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) izakaya has a calm atmosphere with the warmth of wood. It also offers fully private rooms where you can relax.

They mainly serve yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and vegetable wrapped skewers, enjoyed with their secret sauce or Special salt. They also offer a full range of à la carte dishes, including super fresh sashimi and Wagyu steak.
Among them, the sushi and sashimi made with fresh fish brought in every morning are beautifully presented and look great in photos.

The recommendation is a plan that combines All you can eat yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and yasai-maki (vegetable wrapped skewers) with All you can drink. The skewers, grilled over charcoal, are said to be fragrant and juicy.
Since you can order from just 1 skewer, another nice point is being able to enjoy a variety of cuts. As a highly satisfying course, it has also received high praise in reviews.

The kanpachi (greater amberjack) sashimi was thick cut and springy, while the maguro (tuna) had no off notes and tasted as fresh as it gets. The yakitori, including gizzard, yagen nankotsu (soft chicken breast cartilage), and grilled negi (green onion), was cooked just right, with a great balance of smoky aroma and juiciness. The ooba-maki (shiso leaf wrapped skewer) from the vegetable rolls was light and refreshing, making it perfect as a palate cleanser. The fried gyoza was crisp and fragrant, and the french fries were reliably tasty too.

TAKERYU
It was kind of fun to be able to choose 2 Appetizers first lol. The kaisen salad (seafood salad) had tuna and salmon in it, which already got me excited, and then the salmon in the 4-point sashimi assortment that came out after that was thick too, which made me happy. The fried Kara-age, fries, yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), and yasai-maki (vegetable rolls) are All you can eat!!! They also served Wagyu Strip loin, so the overall level of Manzoku is really high.

This izakaya serves Kyushu (southwestern Japan) and Hakata (Fukuoka’s old merchant district) specialties, along with dishes made with ingredients from Kyushu. The spacious interior has a striking wa-modern (Japanese-modern) design, making it a great place to enjoy a lively meal.
The restaurant is about a 14-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station, on the third floor of a building just off Kabukicho Central Road, and also very close to the sightseeing spot Godzilla Head.

There is a course that comes with All you can eat yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and oden (Japanese one-pot dish), plus All you can drink. The yakitori, slowly grilled over charcoal, is said to stand out for its smoky aroma and juicy bite.
The menu includes classics like negima (chicken and scallion skewer) and liver, and the tsukune (chicken meatball skewer) in particular is said to have a light texture and a sweet-savory sauce that pairs perfectly.
The oden is said to have a home-style taste, with a gently sweet broth that really warms you from the inside. In addition to daikon radish and beef tendon, they offer a wide variety of items such as mochi-kinchaku (fried tofu pouch with rice cake) and tsukune (chicken meatball).
The most popular item is the daikon radish, which is said to be thoroughly soaked with broth all the way to the center and has a melt-in-your-mouth softness.
The oden (Japanese one-pot dish) lined up at the counter comes in a wide variety, including daikon radish, konnyaku (yam cake), eggs, chikuwa (tube-shaped fish cake), and gobo-ten (fried burdock fish cake), and every item is excellent with the carefully prepared dashi broth soaked all the way through. The daikon radish in particular was tender, with more umami spreading as you chewed, while the konnyaku had a nice bounce yet bit through cleanly, making for a great texture.

They serve dishes made with plenty of seasonal ingredients.
Among them, the charcoal grilled kushiyaki (grilled skewers) and fresh sashimi are especially popular. The sashimi, made with fresh fish delivered directly each morning from all over Japan, comes in a beautiful assortment that makes you want to take a photo of the plate.

The first thing that stood out was the sashimi assortment. It came with a wide variety, including tuna, salmon, katsuo no tataki (seared bonito), octopus, and amaebi (sweet shrimp), and it looked wonderfully vibrant too. The tuna in particular was very fresh, with a rich, smooth flavor you could really taste. Honestly, it was surprising to get sashimi this good at a taishu sakaba (casual Japanese pub), and the drinks went down very easily.

Each dish was high quality, and the one that stood out most was basashi (horse sashimi). The lightly seared lean meat had a nice savory aroma and a melt-in-your-mouth texture, and it paired perfectly with the condiments. Next, the chicken nanban had a crispy coating and juicy meat inside. The generous tartar sauce added just the right touch of acidity, and it really made the drinks go down easy.

This izakaya is a 10-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station, along Otakibashi-dori (Otakibashi Street). The wood-toned interior and soft lighting create a cozy feel, with touches of traditional Japanese design throughout.
It also has Private room options for everyone from small groups to larger parties, which adds to its appeal by letting guests enjoy their meal without feeling self-conscious.

The restaurant mainly serves yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and seafood dishes. The yakitori, carefully grilled over binchotan (high-grade white charcoal) by skilled chefs, is fragrant and has a plump, juicy texture.
The dishes made with fresh seafood delivered every morning from Toyosu Market are also well regarded, and sashimi and grilled fish are said to let you fully enjoy the natural flavor of the ingredients.

The course with All you can eat yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) is popular. In addition to standard items like negima (chicken and scallion skewer) and liver, they also serve creative skewers. It is also nice that you can choose tare (sweet soy based sauce) or salt to suit your taste.
They also have a full lineup of à la carte dishes such as fresh fish carpaccio and chirashi-zushi (scattered sushi), and reviews say the portions are very filling.

The yakitori is well balanced whether you choose tare sauce or salt, and the negima (chicken and scallion skewer) and liver are especially juicy and recommended. The grilling is just right, and considering the price, it is more than Manzoku. It also goes perfectly with beer or a highball, and I ended up staying longer than planned. The atmosphere inside is lively, making it a great place to have fun with friends rather than enjoy a quiet meal.

A heavenly balance that leaves both salt fans and sauce fans in Manzoku. The thigh meat is plump and juicy, the sunagimo (gizzard) has a nice crunchy texture, and the bonjiri (tail meat) is packed with rich fatty flavor! It is great that you can freely choose sauce or salt, and the sauce in particular has an amazing sweet-savory balance that makes this a dish you will want to keep pairing with drinks.
