This coffee shop is popular as a place where you can step away from the bustle of the city and enjoy coffee in an elegant mood. It is a 5-minute walk from Toranomon Station.
The pleasantly dim interior is lined with books, making it a dream setting for people who love reading. It is also recommended for fans of retro cafes.

They say you can enjoy carefully brewed coffee made with a flannel drip, including blends you can choose from in 4 strength levels and a daily straight coffee.
According to reviews, the mizudashi coffee (cold brew coffee) is also popular. The coffee is brewed nice and strong, and they say the aroma and richness spread across your mouth the moment you take a sip.
Photograph:美波遥
You will also want to order the house-made cakes, which are said to bring out the flavor of the coffee even more. It seems you can choose from cheesecake and chocolate cake.
The rich, dense chocolate cake is said to have the beautiful look of a terrine. Some say they can taste a fruity tartness within the sweetness.

Books line the interior, giving the whole place a retro feel. It felt like the perfect kissaten (Japanese-style coffee shop) to quietly enjoy coffee while taking your time with a book. The lighter coffee I had this time was very good, so next time I’d like to try a stronger one or a Detchmisu as well.

あまいもも明美
I had the strong coffee and cheesecake. The coffee, slowly brewed with a nel drip (flannel drip), had a nice balance of acidity and bitterness, with richness and a clean finish underneath. The Homemade cheesecake had a rich texture, and its balance of sweetness showed real craftsmanship. It gave me a precious moment that felt like it belonged to another world.

A 5-minute walk from Toranomon Station on the Tokyo Metro, this retro cafe offers light meals and sweets in a nostalgic space that feels as if time has stood still.
Inside, there are counter and table seats, and the furniture and interior are said to have a sense of history.
Photograph:_takelog
It seems they offer a good selection of light meals like sandwiches and toast that you can casually enjoy with a drink.
One of the sandwich menu items, the tamago sando (egg sandwich), is made only after you order, so it is served slightly warm. Some say the egg filling has an excellent richness and tang from the mayonnaise.
The restaurant's signature "Jumbo Purin (large custard pudding)," a house special, is said to be a classic firm style pudding with just the right amount of bounce.
The pudding has a gentle egg flavor, and the rich caramel sauce coats it nicely, creating a well balanced taste overall. It also seems to pair well with coffee.

・Hot coffee & tuna sandwich
The coffee has a light acidity that cuts through the bitterness. Because that acidity fades cleanly, the aftertaste is crisp and refreshing. The tuna sandwich is a great match of crunchy onion and soft fluffy bread! It is also interesting that it includes egg.

At Heckeln, a coffee shop with an irresistible Showa retro atmosphere, you can fully enjoy the famous jumbo pudding and coffee♡The pudding has just the right firmness and a smooth melt-in-your-mouth texture, with an exquisite balance of rich egg sweetness and slightly bitter caramel. It goes down more easily than it looks.

The popular "Quiche Set" looks great for either lunch or tea time. It comes with a homemade quiche as the main item, plus salad and a drink.
The quiche is served warm as if it were freshly baked, and you can choose from several kinds, such as chicken and broccoli or asparagus and bacon.
The popular “banana cake,” which also makes a great souvenir, is a nice treat you can enjoy in the shop as well.
Inside the thin crepe is custard cream and banana, and it is said to have a Homemade taste with mild sweetness. It is recommended to enjoy it as part of the “Cake Set” or “Double Cake Set.”

I ordered a hot coffee. The light streaming in gave the place a really nice atmosphere. It had a classic old school feel that made it relaxing, but the floors and tables were spotless. The cake was good too.

咖喱旅程
The Delica Set. I chose hot coffee for the drink and banana cake as an option. I was happy that the sandwich bread was freshly baked and nicely fragrant. The beef filling was also tasty. The minestrone soup and the marinated mushrooms on the side were both just right. It is perfect as a light meal. This was exactly what I had been looking for.

Reviews are full of praise for the "kamayaki (oven-baked) Pancake," known for its striking Mt. Fuji brand mark.
It features a batter thicker than a typical Pancake, and it is said to have a light, airy texture like chiffon cake.
Photograph:べろんたん侍
They offer a full selection of coffee, tea, juice, and other drinks, with a menu that lets you enjoy not just the taste but the look as well.
The recommended choices seem to include the "coffee float," which lets you enjoy coffee and sweets at the same time, and the "cream soda," known for its striking, vivid soda.
ヤッグ
The interior is a retro and lively space. Everyone spends time here however they like. The menu arrived right away. The coffee was piping hot. Its strong bitterness was a nice kick. Even as time passed, the bitterness stayed great. The Pancake was super fluffy. It soaked up the syrup really well. It had a gentle sweetness and was light enough to eat with ease. I finished it in no time. I took my time, then left the cafe.

・Blend coffee. Time spent gazing at the Mt. Fuji logo stamped on the Minoyaki (Mino ware) cup is hard to resist for coffee lovers.・Cream soda (Blue Hawaii). The contrast of white and blue looks just like Mt. Fuji! The refreshing cream, sweet ice cream, and the cherry that makes everyone smile come as a set of three that brings back the taste of the Showa era.

If you want to enjoy the retro atmosphere of a café around Toranomon Station, this place on the 3rd floor of New Shinbashi Building near Shinbashi Station is also recommended.
This is a jun-kissa (traditional Japanese coffee shop) founded in 1976, and it reportedly even has a grand piano inside. You can enjoy the atmosphere of an old-school coffee shop.
Photograph:DDB548
Like the atmosphere, the menu is filled with classic kissaten (Japanese-style coffee shop) staples, and the sandwiches, which let you choose from several fillings like ham and egg, are also popular.
The sandwiches are made with easy-to-hold, easy-to-eat bread spread with butter, and are said to have the warmth of something Homemade and a gentle finish.

They also seem to have a wide range of sweets that dessert lovers will find hard to resist, including assorted varieties available cakes and floats.
The “coffee jelly” is topped with lightly sweet cream over jiggly jelly, and it is said to go well with the jelly’s nice balanced bitterness.
MASUIDAISUKI
This coffee shop was designed with the image of an airport lounge. A grand piano sits in the center, and round tables and sofas in a unified cream color line the space. The beautiful soda float was served on a stylish wooden tray. The balance of soda and syrup, along with the ice cream, was great.

NON FICTION
This coffee shop has a Special atmosphere you can only find here, which is why I keep coming back. Time seems to pass slowly, and it feels so comfortable that I always end up staying a long time. The coffee jelly and chiffon cake are also very good, with just the right amount of sweetness, so I recommend them. This is the perfect place for days when you want to relax and unwind.

This is the lobby lounge inside Daiichi Hotel Tokyo, a hotel with more than 80 years of history. It is directly connected to Shimbashi Station, and Toranomon Station is also within walking distance.
The space has an airy open atrium, giving it the feel of a retro cafe with refined European style.
They offer cakes that change with the season, and it seems many people enjoy cafe time with a drink set.
A favorite in reviews is the "Mont Blanc Parfait." It is said to be not overly sweet overall, and the sherbet inside is part of its appeal. Its cute appearance also leaves an impression.

The afternoon tea, whose theme changes depending on the season, is also well received. The gorgeous sweets arranged on a three tier stand really catch the eye.
The tea and scones are both served piping hot, making for a comforting treat. Some also say they are happy that there is a generous amount of savory items.

I visited for coffee. The mont blanc I ordered was carefully made, with a fresh and cute look. You can feel the attention to detail in each one. The other menu items also looked very lovely. The interior has an antique and luxurious feel, and it is very calm, with a spacious layout.

It looks like you can choose your drink from coffee, tea, milk, and more. It may be simple and classic, but it seems to be a highly satisfying set.

If you're pairing it with coffee, not only cake but sandwiches are also a great choice.
The beautifully toasted "hotto sando (hot sandwich)" is said to be crisp and fragrant on the outside, with a moist texture inside. With a great balance of fillings like ham, egg, and cheese, it's something you can enjoy to the last bite without getting tired of it.
Although it is close to Shinbashi Station, once inside the restaurant has a calm atmosphere where you can relax and take your time. The classic interior had the feel of a slightly retro kissaten (Japanese-style coffee shop), which made it nice to enjoy a quiet moment even in the middle of the city. The spacing between seats was also just right, so I could relax without worrying about the people around me.

After I ordered, the coffee and ham sandwich arrived right away. The ham sandwich was soft and fluffy, and both the taste and portion were just right. This is a cafe with a Showa-era atmosphere. They also had several kinds of single-origin coffee, but since today’s coffee was from Costa Rica, I went for that without hesitation.
