Fukuoka Prefecture [Fukuoka City] Cafes
Coffee Bimi is a popular kissaten (traditional Japanese coffeehouse) within walking distance of Sakurazaka Station in Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, where you can enjoy fragrant coffee brewed with a nel drip (cloth filter).
Set in a great location surrounded by greenery, the shop is said to have the relaxed pace and atmosphere you would expect from a classic kissaten.

They seem to have a great selection of blended coffees, and one of the appealing points is that you can choose the strength to suit your taste.
Ginmi is known for its rich aroma and full body, and is recommended for those who want a stronger coffee. A cake said to contain 7 kinds of dried fruit is popular to enjoy with the coffee.
Photograph:silve170
They also offer a wide lineup of straight coffees, and the mocha in particular has a reputation for being very good.
The "Yirgacheffe Mocha" from Ethiopia ordered on this day was said to be a cup with a fruity aroma and a lingering finish.

The blend coffee was fragrant and clean, making it easy to drink✨The fruit cake was mildly sweet, with a moist texture and wonderful fruit flavor☺️I recommend it because you can relax and enjoy it in the calm atmosphere♪

ゆめみるこ
They carefully brew each cup one by one using nel drip (flannel drip), taking their time with it. Ginmi has the deep, bitter, sweet aroma typical of Mandheling coffee. They use 30 grams of beans. It has a solid body. Nakami is said to be this shop’s signature blend, made with 25 grams of beans and offering a good balance of bitterness, acidity, and sweetness. It tastes like coffee in the best, classic sense.

A 3-minute walk from Gofukumachi in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City. This kissaten (Japanese-style coffee shop) works for all kinds of occasions, from coffee during cafe time to filling meals.
The interior has a stylish, strongly antique feel, and there is also seating on the calm second floor.
Photograph:黄昏ソルティ
The drink and sweets menu is full of options, making it perfect when you want to take a short break.
If you want to enjoy both drinks and sweets, Cafe Vienna is a great choice. It is said to be a well-balanced item, with rich, slightly bitter coffee matched with sweet whipped cream.
Photograph:にゃんちゅう0910
They also offer a wide range of yoshoku (Japanese-style Western dishes) such as curry and omelets, and among them the popular "minchi katsuretsu (ground meat cutlet)" stands out for its shape like a rugby ball.
Only 15 servings are available per day, and a reservation is required. The surface of the cutlet is nicely browned, while the inside is packed with rich meat flavor, and it goes very well with the mild tangy sauce.
けぃちん
The retro style kissaten (traditional Japanese coffeehouse) Brazileiro has a nostalgic feel. The calm space feels so comfortable, as if time passes more slowly there. On this day, I had the Basque rare cheesecake. It had a nice rich flavor, and its moist texture went very well with the coffee. The aroma of the coffee was deep, and you could tell it was brewed with care.

I ordered the minced meat cutlet lunch. The cutlet was shaped like a rugby ball. It had a firm exterior and a soft inside. It was kind of like a croquette, but definitely a proper minced meat cutlet. It was my first time trying it, but the familiar taste naturally brought a smile to my face. It was the kind of place that makes you want to come back regularly.

Cafe Miel, located a 2-minute walk from Hakata Station on the subway in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, is a well-regarded cafe where you can enjoy good coffee and light meals in a retro atmosphere.
This charming kissaten (Japanese-style coffee house) took over a long-standing shop and offers a cozy setting that makes you forget the bustle of the city.

They offer a full lineup of single-origin coffee, and one of the big draws is that you can choose your preferred brewing method from several options, including chakoshi (tea strainer), siphon, and drip.
To go with the coffee, many people also order the "tiramisu," made with a traditional Italian recipe.
If you want a little something to eat, this hot sandwich with nearly 50 years of history is just the thing.
The menu has two standard options: mustard egg and ham and cheese. The bread is said to be toasted nice and crisp, and the fillings have just the right amount of salt. There is also a good value drink set.
コーヒー飲む
I ordered the cheesecake. It seems they use kibito (unrefined cane sugar). I noticed more sweetness than tartness. It has a gentle flavor that seems like it would go well with all kinds of coffee! They also serve single origin coffee, and the atmosphere inside was really nice, so I had a very good time.

・Hot sandwich
The bread is nicely toasted, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The moment you take a bite, the toasty aroma rises along with the smell of the filling. The rich melt of the cheese, the good flavor of the filling, and the sweetness of the bread layer together beautifully, making it simple yet deeply Manzoku.

They offer several kinds of house made sweets, and many people seem to enjoy them with coffee or tea.
The most popular is the Mont Blanc, which they pipe only after an order is placed. It is made with chestnut paste from France and fresh cream from Hokkaido (northern Japan), and is known for its light and airy texture.
舞タケ
The cheese toast loaded with Maribo cheese is the best!! It’s piled with as much cheese as you can imagine. The salad also comes with plenty of vegetables. If you order the set coffee, it comes with lots of unsweetened cream. On another day, I had the blue cheese and salami sandwich... and that was delicious too!!

I ordered royal milk tea and Mont Blanc. Mont Blanc is so good that I never get tired of it, and it disappears from the plate in no time whenever I have it. The milk tea was also delicious◎Most of all, the cafe had a very calm atmosphere, which made it perfect for relaxing on my own.

The coffee here stays committed to the siphon method, and they offer creative coffee drinks and straight coffee.
The "Noda Blend," made by blending 3 or more types of Special high quality beans, is said to be appealing for its mellow richness, full aroma, and solid flavor.
Photograph:けいんのすけ
They also offer a wide lineup of assorted varieties available light meals and sweets that pair perfectly with coffee.
On your first visit, you will definitely want to order the popular sweet, Noda Purin (Noda pudding). Its square shape stands out, and it is said to have a rich, indulgent flavor made with cream cheese.

As always, the coffee here is delicious. The atmosphere inside is also great. The cake is good too. I ordered the monburan (Mont Blanc), and the chestnut aroma was amazing. The U-shaped counter is really lovely. The shape of the lights is cool too. This shop is packed with everything that makes a junkissa (traditional Japanese coffee shop) so wonderful. It is the kind of place you will want to visit again and again.

・Noda pudding
The shape of the cup and its deep color are beautiful, giving it a quiet sense of luxury. The flavor has a nice balance of clean bitterness and acidity, and I also enjoyed how it changed over time. In the second half, adding whipped cream brought the acidity and cream together for a flavor I liked even more.

Kazemachi, about an 8-minute walk from Tenjin Station, is a kissaten (Japanese-style coffee shop) in Fukuoka City's Tenjin area that is perfect when you want to enjoy good pasta dishes.
There are counter and table seats available, and the place is said to have a traditional, homey, and relaxed atmosphere.

They offer a wide range of pasta, and you can choose the sauce from many options, with the option to specify the ingredients for an extra charge.
The “Nori Negi Tomato” pasta ordered that day seems to have been addictively good, with the aroma of green onion added to the piping hot tomato sauce.
Photograph:まちあき0510
The drink menu also seems quite extensive, so this place is recommended not only for meals but also for tea time.
The sweets menu, including cakes and parfaits, is also well liked. The photo shows a Japanese style cake made with custard and fresh cream blended with gyokuro (high-grade green tea).

I had the Homemade pasta lunch. The atmosphere inside, themed around a stone house, was wonderful, and the pasta was very delicious! This is the top café pick when you want to enjoy a calm coffee break. I want to come again.

Lifing
For the dry curry, I could choose either chicken or bacon, so I went with bacon. It was simple, but pleasantly spicy, and rather than being dry and crumbly, it had a soft, fluffy texture that made it easy to finish in no time. For my after meal drink, I chose spice chai. They also have lots of tempting drinks, including fruit juices and float style options.

At lunchtime, you can enjoy filling dishes such as curry, Napolitan, and set meals.
The photo shows the "Cheese Curry Napolitan." The tangy Napolitan has a home style taste, while the curry is said to be a classic European style with rich umami and depth.

If you are visiting during Breakfast time, the popular "Breakfast Toast Set," which also gets great reviews, is recommended.
It is a good value set that comes with toast soaked with plenty of butter, a drink, salad, and a boiled egg.
y040
The daily lunch specials, including katsu curry and Napolitan, are popular for their big portions, and even the regular serving comes piled onto a large plate in a surprising amount. The curry has a thick, home-style feel, while the Napolitan is boldly seasoned, and both are said to be nostalgic and tasty. With 70s Japanese pop playing, the restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere and great value for money. It is recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy Manpuku and a sense of nostalgia.

Jika Baisen Coffee Rankan is a long-established kissaten (Japanese-style coffee shop) founded in 1978, located near Dazaifu Station in Dazaifu, Fukuoka Prefecture. Its stylish antique-inspired interior leaves a strong impression.
The cafe has carefully preserved the atmosphere from when it first opened, and its charm lies in the truly relaxing setting where you can unwind away from the bustle of the city.

The specialty coffee, made with rare coffee beans imported directly from the farm, is roasted on a German Probat roaster.
Their carefully crafted, delicious coffee is said to pair perfectly with the rich cheesecake. You can enjoy not only the aroma and flavor of the coffee, but also the designs of the many cups they have on hand.
Photograph:いちごだいふくもち
The light meal menu is also extensive, with toast, sandwiches, and more, and among them, "Egg Sandwich" stands out with many positive reviews.
The fluffy egg is gently seasoned with mayonnaise and ketchup, giving it a comforting taste. The plate also comes with fruit on the side.
食べ歩くパンダちゃん
This was a wonderful kissaten (Japanese-style coffee shop), just as I had hoped from its appearance. The coffee was delicious, and the popular cheesecake was also very good. The interior had a retro feel, with lovely decorations and flowers, and the staff were extremely kind.

すし和食探究中
The key item, the egg sandwich, is also outstanding. It is neither the plump dashimaki (Japanese rolled omelet) style of Kyoto nor the firmly sweet Tokyo style. The tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet) is slightly sweet, and it comes with ketchup and what is probably karashi mayo (mustard mayonnaise). That balance is just right. The bread is soft and fluffy too, with a kind of good taste I had never had before. I unexpectedly found a wonderful shop♪

What gets overwhelming praise in reviews is the “spaghetti,” served on a piping hot Teppan-yaki plate. The raw egg in the center lets you cook it to your liking as you eat.
The richly seasoned sauce pairs well with the thick noodles, while the savory flavor of charred onion, black pepper, and grated cheese add nice accents.
It looks like they also have a full lineup of dishes you can enjoy as a meal, including katsudon (pork cutlet rice bowl), curry, and Yakiniku set meals.
The "Omurice" seems to be made in the old school style, with rice wrapped in a thin egg. There was also a review saying the seasoning had an addictive taste and was so good they finished it all at once.
はらぺこダイエッター
Some people say curry is a drink, and Bipo-san's curry really is exactly that. It is thin and soupy, so you can wash it down together with the rice. There are no solid ingredients in it. The cutlet is the thin type, and it tastes great when you soak it in the curry until it softens! If you dip it in the curry just a little, you still get that freshly fried crispiness too, so that is great as well!
