Mawaru Sushi Mekkemon Dorufin Poto Ten is a popular conveyor belt sushi restaurant loved by locals in Kagoshima. There can even be a line before it opens.

Along with classic sushi toppings, you can also enjoy local rare fish. The lively calls from the staff add to the energetic atmosphere.

If you love maguro (tuna), you have to order the “Hon-maguro (bluefin tuna) Three Piece Set.” This well-reviewed plate lets you fully enjoy the rich flavor of fatty maguro.

Even the akami (lean tuna) has a melting texture like chutoro (medium fatty tuna), and it is said to be excellent.

Many reviews were full of praise for "Blue Three." It is an assortment of three kinds of oily fish: kibinago (silver-stripe round herring), shime saba (cured mackerel), and aji (horse mackerel).

In particular, the kibinago is a local catch from Kagoshima, and people say its freshness is outstanding.

From rare fish that feel very Kagoshima to classic sushi toppings, this skilled spot is known for items that are likely to sell out✨The prices are not exactly low, but considering the level of Manzoku, it is a place that feels well worth it.

Hama Zushi Kagoshima Jonan Ten

"Hama Zushi Kagoshima Jonan Ten" is a restaurant opened in Kagoshima Jonan by a nationwide kaiten-zushi (conveyor belt sushi) chain. In addition to more than 90 kinds of sushi, it offers over 20 side dishes, giving diners a wide range to choose from.

It has not only table seating that works well for groups, but also counter seating, so even solo diners can come in without hesitation.

One of the charms of Hama Zushi is that you can enjoy the same topping with a variety of seasonings.

The photo shows the “tennen akaebi (natural red shrimp) shio lemon,” and the shrimp menu also offers a wide range of choices such as “shrimp tempura” and “shrimp avocado,” so it looks fun to compare them.

Another strength of Hama Zushi is its strong side menu selection. They regularly roll out limited-time menu items, so you will not get tired of it no matter how many times you visit.

The photo shows the Asari (short-neck clams) and canola flower spring udon, a dish that makes you feel the arrival of spring.

大隅半島のかいどん

I go to Hama Zushi often, and I love their creative toppings with flavors that appeal to adults. The fried items on the side menu are always good, and I always order them. The maguro (tuna) with shiso (perilla) tempura was outstanding✨✨✨The limited-time menu with plenty of peach was the best!!

I get the impression that Hama Zushi really puts effort into its side menu, especially the ramen, and the ramen was honestly pretty good. It was a great meal.

Kagoshima Prefecture [Aira City] conveyor belt sushi restaurants

Kaiten Sushi Shichihachi

Kaiten Sushi Shichihachi is a popular conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Kagoshima. At lunchtime, you can also enjoy good value set meals and Rice bowl menu items.

The spacious interior has a large counter, and guests say you can dine at ease without worrying about the people next to you, so it is also recommended for solo visits.

One feature of the sushi at this restaurant is that the toppings are generally large, so even with fewer plates than at other places, you can still feel Manzoku.

The photo shows "ikijime madai (live-prepped Sea Bream)." It is such a popular item that some people order it every time they visit, and the salt seasoning is said to be especially good.

At lunchtime, the kaisendon (seafood Rice bowl) is recommended. It is generously topped with seasonal seafood delivered that day, and in the photo, kubiore-saba (mackerel killed by neck-breaking to preserve freshness) was used.

Each piece of fresh seafood has a plump, springy texture and is said to be excellent.

おてぃま

The menu also had a lot of items you do not usually find at kaiten-zushi (conveyor belt sushi) places, and it was totally my kind of lineup(^-^)(^-)The kawahagi (filefish) topped with liver, namako-su (vinegared sea cucumber), soft roe gunkan, and otoro (fatty tuna) were all delicious. I was so happy. It is great to have this quality of fish at a kaiten-zushi place you can just drop into on a whim. If it were closer, I would probably come all the time.

にゃんこ大好きはるちゃん

At other kaiten-zushi (conveyor belt sushi) places, I can easily eat about 10 plates, but the toppings were so big that I was full after about 5 plates (lol). It was also nice that I could choose from three kinds of tea: green tea, genmaicha (roasted brown rice tea), and hojicha (roasted green tea).

Sushitora Kanoya Honten

Sushitora Kanoya Honten is a kaiten-zushi (conveyor belt sushi) restaurant loved by locals. It is such a popular spot that even right after opening, a 30-minute wait is normal.

The staff’s lively service also gets great reviews, and the place is said to have a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere.

No matter which sushi you try, it is said to be delicious, and the quality makes it easy to see why this place is so popular.

The photo shows kanburi (winter yellowtail) from Nagashima, Kagoshima Prefecture. The flesh is firm, and the moment you take a bite, its rich high quality fat is said to spread through your mouth.

They also offer a wide variety of aburi (seared) toppings.

The photo shows the "saba no oshizushi (pressed mackerel sushi)," which has received rave reviews. The thick mackerel is nicely seared and rich with fat, which soaks into the sushi rice and makes it incredibly good, according to reviews.

みんと@らーめん

I stopped by when I traveled to Kagoshima. I heard it was a very famous place locally, so I went there feeling excited, and it was just as good as I expected—no, even better! The menu had a great variety, and it was fun to see dishes with creative twists too. It is also a nice memory that the staff chatted with me in a friendly way✨

Kaiten Sushi Manten Obama Ten is a conveyor belt sushi restaurant on Amami Oshima (Amami Island). Loved by locals, it also serves local fish from Amami, so it seems to be popular with tourists as well.

You can casually enjoy sushi with steady quality here, and it offers a high sense of Manzoku.

The sushi is said to be great, with not only the toppings but also the shari (sushi rice) and nori (seaweed) tasting good, plus a wide variety to choose from.

You can choose whether or not to have wasabi, as well as between Kyushu-style sweet soy sauce and regular soy sauce, which is a nice touch for children and people with strong preferences.

Along with seafood sushi, they also offer a wide range of unusual sushi such as pork belly and Shimabara Ham.

The photo shows the Obama Ten limited natto age-maki (fried natto roll). It looks like you can enjoy a unique flavor you will not find at their other locations.

mhh

It was a lot of fun because I got to eat plenty of local fish from Amami Oshima (Amami-Oshima Island) and more. The prices were low, and it was convenient that I could make a reservation for the waitlist. The miso soup was also good. It is a little far from the city center, but I would definitely like to go again if I have the chance.

すたーどん

There were several toppings unique to Amami Oshima (Amami Oshima). I ordered hiramasa (yellowtail amberjack). When I tried it with salt, its firm texture and the rich flavor of the hiramasa spread through my mouth. It was a rare experience you can’t have on the mainland.
