Susukino Kissa Purple Dahlia

Susukino Kissa Purple Dahlia is a cafe where you can enjoy their famous parfaits and classic old-school kissaten (Japanese-style coffee shop) menu items in an interior marked by striking purple neon.

The cafe is about a 6-minute walk from Odori Station. There are 26 seats in total, with 6 counter seats and 20 table seats.

Their signature “fruit parfait” is made with soft serve from Kitahiro Bokujo in Shintoku, Tokachi.

Because they use a Carpigiani machine, they can serve soft serve with a fine texture and a smooth melt-in-your-mouth feel.

A popular item on the food menu is the “Omurice (with grilled vegetables),” made in an old-school style with plenty of egg and topped with ketchup.

It also comes with grilled vegetables, and it is said to be very filling.

It was not too heavy even at night, and I could enjoy it all the way to the last bite without getting tired of it. The pudding was rich and slightly firm. The fruit sandwich was packed with cream all the way through.

This time I ordered the fruit parfait. It looked amazing. It was not too sweet and easy to eat. It had all kinds of things inside, and the flavor changed depending on where you ate from, so I never got bored. It was very delicious!

CAFE LOUNGE mosuke

About an 8-minute walk from Odori Station, CAFE LOUNGE mosuke on the basement first floor of moyuk Sapporo is a cafe popular for soup curry and pancakes.

You can spend a relaxing time in the premium sofa bed seats.

The authentic soup curry from the Otaru food manufacturer Tanzen Technical Product is a must-try, made with over 20 years of know-how.

It is said to have a deep flavor from a combination of Special spices, koji (rice malt), and dashi (Japanese soup stock).

I had a little free time, so I stopped by for the first time for a coffee break. Every seat in the shop is stylish, and I could enjoy my coffee in a fun mood. It looks like they also have soup curry and alcohol, so next time I'd like to try coming here for more than just coffee.

Drawn by the tagline of sandwiches you eat with chopsticks, I ordered the roast beef sandwich with a set of chamomile tea. The sandwich came packed tightly in a wappa (bentwood lunch box), and it actually even included slices of roast beef on their own to fill the gaps. It was a huge portion, and this one item alone left me full!

An to Cha

About a 4-minute walk from Odori Station, An to Cha on the 1st floor of KT Sanjo Building is a café and shop born from the meeting of Hokkaido heirloom beans and high quality tea from Shizuoka.

The space has the warm feel of washi (traditional Japanese paper), with counter seats made from a large single slab of wood.

The Homemade sweets made with local Hokkaido beans focus on the quality and amount of beans.

The carefully hand-baked kintsuba (sweet bean cake) is said to let you enjoy different textures from the fried and baked versions. It is topped with rare local beans, and the yokan (sweet bean jelly) is packed with red bean paste from Hokkaido.

To let guests enjoy the appeal of Shizuoka tea, they always keep 5 kinds of tea leaves from Shizuoka Prefecture on hand.

They also offer a menu where you can choose your favorite sweets and tea as a set, and another nice point is being able to enjoy the fun of choosing with the seasons.

Take your time enjoying nihoncha (Japanese tea). Take your time savoring wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets). If you are getting a little tired of coffee all the time, or too much cream feels too heavy, this is just the right place. Since it was my second visit, I went for matcha (powdered green tea)〜! The harmony of bitterness and sweetness was perfect. The tea ware was also lovely and looked beautiful.

The age-kintsuba (deep-fried sweet bean cake) was especially delicious. They also serve pickles and ochazuke (rice with tea or broth), so I could reset the sweetness and enjoy everything to the end. You can choose up to 2 kinds of tea. I chose Japanese black tea and matcha. The Japanese black tea had no harsh notes and was very easy to drink.

Nemo-chan Land 3

Nemo-chan Land 3 is a cafe that mainly serves cute parfaits full of the charm of Hokkaido.

The stylish interior stands out, and the cafe has 13 counter seats. It is easy to stop by even on your own.

The parfait is packed with ingredients from Hokkaido and has a cute look that really whets the appetite.

It also comes in a short glass, which makes it easy to eat. There are four kinds in total, and two of them are seasonal specials.

The espresso and cafe latte, carefully brewed over direct heat, are great on their own and also pair perfectly with the parfait.

The gentle sweetness made with Hokkaido (Hokkaido) milk, fresh cream, and white cacao liqueur has earned high praise.

When I went to Hokkaido for sightseeing, I ended up here while looking for a dessert to finish the night. It doesn’t have the size or flashiness of the shime-parfait (dessert to end the night) places you often see, but it tasted great and the portion size was just right. I also appreciated that reservations are available, and I’d like to go again.

We each had a different parfait: the slightly luxurious grown-up parfait, the wafu (Japanese-style) parfait, and the strawberry and chocolate parfait, for me, my mother, and my father. Instead of the tall layered parfait everyone imagines, these were served in a flat style. They looked cute, and the financier was delicious.

The stylish interior has a retro feel. It also accommodates semi-private reservation for up to 20〜40 people.

They have a full lineup of sweets like cake, pancakes, and pudding.

The "Brulee in Baum" is the shop's original menu item. The baumkuchen (layered cake) is moist, and the generous amount of custard cream inside is said to be creamy and rich.

The food menu mainly focuses on pasta dishes, including soup pasta, nama-pasta (fresh pasta), and spaghetti.

The “Toro-ri Mozzarella no Tomato Sauce Nama-pasta” uses plenty of mozzarella, and its melted cheese is said to be irresistibly good.

I went in with my grandchild, who said they wanted to eat spaghetti. Since we knew we would not be able to finish everything, we shared one spaghetti dish between the two of us and each ordered a dessert. The Bolognese was a generous portion, and it was more than enough to share. The cake was good too.

I had a hot coffee at PRONTO in Sapporo Pole Town. I added espresso for a richer, more robust flavor. With its location in the underground shopping arcade, access is excellent, and it is also convenient for a quick break or meeting up with someone. The calm atmosphere is another nice point, making it a comfortable place to spend time and relax.

I ordered pudding and cheesecake. For a drink, I ordered a hot latte. The atmosphere of the shop was nice, and the slightly bitter latte went very well with the pudding and the rest!
