Yakitori IPPON

Yakitori IPPON is an izakaya centered on yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), located on the 2nd floor of Osaki New City Building No. 5.

The interior, based on white wood, is a stylish space where the lighting and ceiling decor also give a sense of Japanese charm. There are counter and table seats, so even solo diners can drop by with ease.

There are about 10 kinds of yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), and you can choose any 5 you like to make an assortment.

The house-made tsukune (chicken meatball skewer), crafted to bring out a satisfying meaty texture, comes in 4 varieties with different sauces. If you are dining as a party of 2, ordering different flavors and comparing them is also a great option.

The "tori paitan ramen (chicken white broth ramen)" is a popular dish To finish.

The soup uses a rich tori paitan broth as its base, and you can choose from two flavors: light salt or fragrant soy sauce. For an extra charge, you can add toppings such as "tokusei chashu (special roast pork)" and nori (seaweed) to make it just the way you like.

Sobaemon Osaki Ten

Soba and a wide range of izakaya dishes can be enjoyed at Sobaemon Osaki Ten.

The bright and clean interior has counter seats where you can enjoy the live cooking atmosphere, as well as table seating for groups, box seats, and Semi-private room seating. With many kinds of seating, the restaurant is known for being easy to use.

The appetizers you can only get at a soba restaurant are well liked.

The “soba no sashimi (soba served sashimi-style)” in the photo is a dish of soba noodles about three times as wide as kishimen (flat wheat noodles), enjoyed with yakumi (condiments) and dipping sauce. It has a firm bite, and with each mouthful, the flavor of the soba spreads across the palate.

The "Soba-ya no Mabo Dofu" is also perfect as a snack to go with drinks!

The mabo dofu (mapo tofu) has a deep, authentic flavor, and the sharp heat of kasho (Sichuan pepper) makes it so tasty you will not be able to stop eating. It is served piping hot, so be careful not to burn your mouth!

I enjoyed snacks that were a cut above what you find at a typical izakaya, including the unusual soba no sashimi (buckwheat noodle sashimi), sakiika no tempura (dried shredded squid tempura), and kamo-dashi oden (oden simmered in duck broth), all of which pair well with drinks. To finish, the best part is being able to have authentic soba.
