piccole lampare & rooftop Sky Bar

Piccole Lampare & Rooftop Sky Bar is located a 2-minute walk from Oshiage Station, and from the terrace seats you can enjoy a view of Tokyo Skytree.

Inside, the restaurant has a casual space where you can relax and enjoy yourself, with a menu centered on Italian cuisine. It also offers a wide selection of drinks and à la carte dishes, so it seems like a good choice for using as an izakaya (Japanese pub) as well.

You can enjoy fresh ingredients sourced first thing in the morning from Adachi Shijo (Adachi Market) and Toyosu Shijo (Toyosu Market). They offer a wide range of drinks that pair well with Italian food, so you can enjoy a glass you like with your meal.

The fresh sausage in the photo is said to have a hearty meaty texture and to go well with the mashed potatoes on the side.

The photo shows the popular menu item, “100% Domestic Beef Coarsely Ground Charcoal-Grilled Hamburger Steak.” It is slowly grilled with the far-infrared effect of charcoal, bringing out the nice toasty aroma that only charcoal grilling can give.

It comes in 200g and 400g sizes, and you can choose from 3 kinds of sauce.

It was a rooftop with a wonderful view. It was cold, but the large heaters and blankets, and above all the excellent service from the staff, kept us warm. The food was also very good, and it is a great place I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

The carbonara with the aroma of black truffle is irresistible for truffle lovers.. The fresh sausage has a satisfyingly meaty texture, and the side dish goes very well with the sausage. The potatoes are coated in rich cheese and are also excellent.

The popular fresh oysters come in up to 10 varieties from production regions ranging from Hokkaido to Kyushu, which is part of the appeal because you can enjoy the differences in flavor all year round.

The popular raw oysters are said to taste completely different depending on the production region. Each one has its own character, from creaminess and a clean finish to size and sweetness, and one of the big draws is being able to compare them.

They also offer an All you can eat plan, so you can enjoy the oysters that suit your taste to your heart's content.

Popular menu items include grilled oysters with a rich flavor, steamed oysters with a plump, springy texture, fried oysters, and ajillo. The photo shows the "Kaki to Kinoko no Ajillo (Oysters and Mushroom Ajillo)".

You can choose the raw oysters from well known oysters from all over Japan. This time, I had the recommended Ogatsu (Ogatsu, Miyagi Prefecture) for that day. This one was plump and juicy too, and really so good!

I visited because I was craving oysters for the first time in a while. Located right in front of Tokyo Skytree, this restaurant has very convenient access. As an oyster specialty restaurant, it offers a wide variety of oyster dishes, along with drinks that pair well with oysters. The oyster ajillo was especially outstanding.

Okimaro

Okimaro is an izakaya serving Okinawan cuisine, just a 5-minute walk from Oshiage Station and right in front of Tokyo Skytree.

Okinawan music plays inside, and the blue and wood-tone interior creates a space that brings Okinawa’s ocean to mind, making this a stylish spot where you can feel the atmosphere of Okinawa while still in the city.

From staple dishes like goya chanpuru (stir-fried bitter melon) and Okinawa soba (Okinawan noodles) to a la carte items, you can enjoy homemade Okinawan food made with fresh ingredients shipped directly from Okinawa.

Fu chanpuru is a classic Okinawan home-style dish made mainly with kuruma-fu (wheel-shaped wheat gluten), stir-fried with vegetables and eggs. Some say it is so good they keep coming back for it.

They offer a great lineup of drinks that let you soak up the Okinawa mood, including awamori (Okinawan distilled liquor), Orion Beer, sanpincha-hai (jasmine tea highball), and shikuwasa sour.

There is also a set that includes one drink of your choice and two daily small plates, so it seems like a good option for a Quick Drink too.

Customers kept coming in one after another, and the place was full. I think it’s better to make a reservation. The food was basically Okinawan cuisine, but everything I tried was good. The agu gyoza (Okinawan pork dumplings) and taco rice were especially tasty.

・Okinawa soba (Okinawan noodle soup)
The Okinawa soba I ordered looked carefully made at first glance, and the clear broth had a solid flavor of pork and bonito dashi, with a gentle yet rich taste that was so good I wanted to drink every last drop! Also, the noodles were slightly thick and flat, with a chewy texture that paired really well with the soup, making it very satisfying to eat!

We walked in without a reservation, but we got seated right away without waiting. Lucky. As expected, this place still has the same great taste. You can't skip the sashimi assortment. This level of freshness and flavor is hard to come by.

コマツ19595

I think this place probably focuses mainly on Japanese sake, and they had lots of well-known labels available (for example: Aramasa, Jikon, Sharaku, and many others). I had Gakki Masamune and Zaku, and they paired very well with the food, which made for a blissful time.

Kazusaya

This downtown Japanese restaurant is a 13-minute walk from Oshiage Station, located between Skytree and Sensoji Temple.

What makes it appealing is the two distinct floors: the first floor is an izakaya floor where you can casually enjoy drinks, while the second floor is a calm Private room floor with zashiki (tatami seating). Some seats on the second-floor zashiki area also have a view of Skytree.

You can find a full lineup of downtown style specialties here, including sashimi (sliced raw fish), kushiyaki (grilled skewers), and fried dishes. The maguro (tuna) dishes in particular are said to come in many varieties and have deep flavor. Popular choices include the “maguro butsu-sashi,” and “maguro shoga-yaki (ginger grilled tuna).”

The photo shows the “maguro butsu-sashi,” and each piece is large, fresh, and tasty.

In addition to local sake from all over Japan and shochu, they also offer a great drink lineup that includes Denki Bran (brandy based liqueur), a liqueur made by blending brandy with wine, gin, vermouth, curacao, and more.

The photo shows “Kikuhime.” It has a rich body and good umami, with a smooth mouthfeel.

roku609

I finally got to visit a place I had wanted to step into for a long time. Every appetizer was delicious, and the menu was full of great options. The magurobutsu (chunks of tuna sashimi) is the best! It is in a great location that you can reach while taking a walk along the Sumida River from Asakusa toward Tokyo Skytree.

ステキシンスケクン

It was my first time back at Kazusaya in a while. Maybe for the first time in 2〜3 months? As always, the tuna was great. Work has been nonstop, so I grumbled over drinks and had some sake. Haha. Sashimi, tempura, Kara-age, and more... Beer, Akabu, Shimeharitsuru, and more... What a nice place. It really helps me relax.

Yakiniku Izakaya Minowa

About a 3-minute walk from Oshiage Station, Yakiniku Izakaya Minowa is a Yakiniku izakaya run by three people from Minowa-machi (Minowa Town), Nagano Prefecture. The interior has a wood-based hideaway feel, with a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

The meat is grilled in the kitchen before being served, which is also said to be nice because you do not have to worry about odors.

They use high quality meat shipped directly from Shibaura Market and offer a wide range of cuts, from standard options to rare ones.

The "Wagyu Outside skirt" is something you do not often find elsewhere, and it is said to be juicy, tender, and almost melts in your mouth.

The photo shows Minowa Tokusei Morioka Reimen, perfect To finish a Yakiniku meal. It features a rich homemade soup and special noodles with a carefully crafted texture, making it a light and refreshing way to enjoy the end of the meal even after Yakiniku.

The soup, made from broth taken from beef and chicken, kombu kelp, and bonito flakes, gets high praise in reviews as "just so good."

おいしいグルメ

The drink menu is extensive, with a especially good selection of Nagano local sake and wine, both of which pair perfectly with the meat. The staff were also attentive, and I had a very comfortable time there. It is also good value for money, and it is a place I would like to visit again.

Taurine

The quality of the meat is good, and it is cooked just right. The vegetables are sweet and tasty too. The soup and noodles are also a cut above what you usually find at a Yakiniku restaurant, with real care put into them. It also left a good impression that all the plates were warmed so the meat would not get cold, which showed real thoughtfulness. The service was pleasant, the prices were reasonable, and I will definitely be back!

We also ordered the 3-item appetizer assortment and Mediterranean oden, and the 3-item appetizer assortment included mackerel miso crackers, avocado, and potato salad, all of which were nice appetizers with a healthy seasoning.

ZO

ZO is a popular Japanese-style izakaya where you can enjoy fresh seafood and drinks, about a 1-minute walk from Exit B1 of Oshiage Station and close to Tokyo Skytree. Loved mainly by locals, it is a favorite among many people who enjoy drinking.

The restaurant also pays close attention to details like its glasses and tableware, with thoughtful touches that make the food and drinks stand out even more.

Among the snacks, the most popular is Kansai-style oden (Japanese hot pot items in broth) made with plenty of katsuobushi (bonito flakes). It is served chilled in summer and warm in winter, so you can enjoy it all year round.

They also offer fresh sashimi, tempura, and Japanese dishes made with seasonal ingredients, along with small plates that pair well with drinks.

The drink selection is wide, starting with draft beer and including Japanese sake and shochu, with many labels that pair well with the food. The Japanese sake lineup is especially strong and gets good reviews as well.

Japanese sake and shochu are self-service. With mixers, you can enjoy mizuwari (shochu or whisky mixed with water) at your preferred strength or make your own original sour.

The oden (Japanese hot pot dish with simmered ingredients) was good, but the other dishes were also really tasty! They had all kinds of unusual oden too, so I want to go back and try them all. It was the kind of place I’d definitely keep coming back to if it were near my home. I’ll go again when I’m in Oshiage (district in Tokyo).

Kushiage Kushitei Tokyo Skytree Town Solamachi Ten

They also have counter seats where you can watch freshly fried kushiage being prepared right in front of you.

The popular choice here is the Omakase, where they keep frying kushiage (deep-fried skewers) until you say, "Stop after the next one." You can fully enjoy their carefully crafted original kushiage.

It seems you can order from about 30 kinds of seasonal and standard ingredients.

The kushiage (deep-fried skewers) are made with fresh breadcrumbs, which gives them a light crisp finish and a crunchy texture. They also offer seasonal menu items that let you feel the four seasons, so it looks like you can enjoy it no matter when you visit.

Another draw is the wide drink selection, including a highball made just for pairing with kushiage.

・Omakase
I had the Omakase skewers. I was thinking of going to a second place too, so I stopped at around 12 skewers. The Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) Strip loin and angel prawn were especially good. I love fu (wheat gluten), so I was most excited when the nama-fu (fresh wheat gluten) came out lol. They fried everything really well, and every skewer was tasty, so I’d like to go again^^

Kushikatsu Tanaka Oshiage Ten

Kushikatsu Tanaka Oshiage Ten is a restaurant located a 3-minute walk from Oshiage Station. This popular izakaya serves kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers), a traditional part of Osaka food culture.

Inside, the casual space has counter and table seating.

From seafood kushi-katsu (deep-fried skewers) like shrimp and tarako (salted cod roe), to vegetable skewers such as renkon (lotus root) and asparagus, and even meat skewers, they offer a wide range of kushi-katsu.

If you take a bite of the piping hot kushi-katsu with its crispy coating after dipping it generously in the secret sauce, you get the traditional taste of Osaka. Many people seem to enjoy it with alcohol.

There is also a wide selection of menu items featuring B-kyu gourmet (casual local comfort food) long loved in Osaka. The photo shows the “Negi-mamire Chi Tairayaki.” It is a popular twist on the Osaka specialty tonpeiyaki (pork omelet pancake).

Melted cheese is tucked inside the soft, runny egg, and both the inside and outside are covered with plenty of green onion. The rich taste of the cheese and mayonnaise goes well together in this dish.

This was my first time visiting Kushikatsu Tanaka, and everything came out piping hot and crispy, with the flavors of the ingredients coming through nicely, so I ended up eating too much with the All you can eat option. The interior is spacious and clean, and the location is excellent on the first floor at the Kaku of the intersection. Tokyo Skytree is just steps away.

Donbee Tokyo Skytree Ekimae Ten

Nonbei Tokyo Skytree Ekimae Ten is a restaurant located a 6-minute walk from Exit A3 of Oshiage Station. This long-established sakaba (Japanese pub) was founded in 1978.

With a wide selection of Japanese sake, this old-school downtown Japanese sake izakaya is well known for its local sake.

Popular dishes here are classic izakaya staples made with seasonal ingredients. They mainly serve handmade washoku (Japanese cuisine) prepared by skilled chefs, including sashimi, yakitori, stewed dishes, grilled fish, and tempura.

The recommended dish is the Special assortment of sashimi made with fresh fish sourced from Yonekawa Suisan.

The “nikomi” (slow-simmered beef and pork offal stew), with its flavor concentrated by long simmering, is also a popular dish. The photo shows it topped with a “nitamago” (simmered egg).

It gets great reviews as well, and people say the slowly simmered offal has deep flavor and richness, making it something you’ll want to order as both your first dish and To finish.

なるぼう

This is a place I stopped by when I wanted a quick drink. I like the atmosphere, which has an old-school feel. It also seems like a place that can handle large Banquets! This time, my recommendation is the fried rice, even though it is an izakaya (Japanese pub)! It was really good. I ordered it at the end of the meal, but it was so tasty that I think it would be worth coming just for that.

RRAG

Everything was delicious, but the kani miso (crab tomalley) and namero (minced fish with miso and seasonings) were especially amazingly good! They also had a wide selection of Japanese sake, and the menu grouped them by drinking style, which made it easy to use as a guide when ordering. I want to come again!
