Yakitori Torifuji Gotanda Ten

Yakitori Tori Fuji Gotanda Ten is an izakaya where you can casually enjoy charcoal grilled yakitori and Special drinks.

The modern interior was designed by a designer. It has a bright, lively feel and is a good fit for drinks with friends or coworkers.

The yakitori at this restaurant is said to use branded chicken shipped directly from Kagoshima Prefecture and jidori (free-range chicken) from around Japan.

One nice point is that you can enjoy more than 20 different cuts à la carte. You can casually order any cuts that catch your eye.

This is kashiwa (chicken). It has firm texture, and lets you slowly enjoy the natural good flavor of the chicken itself.

The moment you put it in your mouth, piping hot juices overflow. Some people also say the aroma of charcoal that rises through the nose is irresistible.

だいきちログ

Each skewer was grilled to perfection, nicely charred on the outside and tender and juicy inside. The reba (liver) was especially impressive, with no off notes and a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The tsukune (chicken meatball) was also packed with flavor and went perfectly with the sauce. The restaurant had a calm and comfortable atmosphere, and the staff were polite and attentive. This is a yakitori restaurant I would want to visit both for everyday meals and for Special occasions, and I will definitely be back.

Sumibi Kushiyaki Koumesan

Sumibi Kushiyaki Koumesan is an izakaya (Japanese pub) with the feel of a small traditional restaurant, just a 2-minute walk from Gotanda Station on the JR Yamanote Line.

In addition to table seating and an L-shaped counter, it also has fully private rooms. This is a place you can easily visit whether you are alone or with a group.

The carefully crafted yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) uses high quality Domestic jidori (local chicken) such as Daisen-dori (Daisen chicken) and Date-dori (Date chicken), and each skewer is grilled one by one with great care.

By finishing them with salt, they bring out the full savory flavor of the chicken.

The most popular item, "seseri-yaki (grilled chicken neck)", is topped with a generous assortment of green onions.

The balance between the juicy meat juices of the seseri and the sharp bite of the green onions is said to be just right. The crisp texture is said to be addictive.

maru_log

Every grilled skewer is excellent! The Heart, sasami (chicken tenderloin), hinakawa (young chicken skin), and negima (chicken and scallion skewer) are especially good.. There are lots of other menu items that caught my eye too, but I have to save them for next time.. The pieces are slightly large, so if you do not eat much, you will probably enjoy it more by choosing a variety of kinds little by little. The sours are tasty too.

Honkaku Yakitori Gotanda Fujiya

Honkaku Yakitori Gotanda Fujiya is an izakaya centered on yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), located a 2-minute walk from the West Exit of Gotanda Station on the JR Yamanote Line.

The table seating can be rearranged freely. If you want to relax on your own, the counter seats are recommended.

You can enjoy authentic yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) prepared by skilled craftsmen. They use large cuts of high quality chicken and carefully grill each skewer one by one to lock in the flavor.

They are particular about heat control, giving the surface a crisp finish while keeping the inside tender and juicy.

"Sasami" is yakitori made with sasami (chicken tenderloin) that has a moist texture, paired with wasabi. The more you chew, the more its gentle umami fills your mouth, according to reviews.

The sharp heat of the wasabi tightens up the flavor and makes it taste even better.

For the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), we ordered furisode (shoulder meat), seseri (neck meat), and maruhatsu (chicken heart). The furisode was plump and juicy, and it was so satisfying how the flavor spread with every bite.... The seseri had just the right springy texture, and the salt was spot on, making the drinks go down easy. The maruhatsu had no distinctive flavor, and even I, who am not a fan of liver, thought, "This is delicious!" after one skewer.

なつ******

The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) are fragrant on the outside and juicy inside, and each skewer is fairly large and satisfying. In addition to the kushiyaki (grilled skewers), they also offer a wide range of à la carte dishes such as shio motsunikomi (salt-seasoned stewed offal) and gatsu ponzu (ponzu-dressed pork stomach), so I enjoyed the meal from start to finish without getting bored.

Charcoal Grill Yamatake Shoten

Charcoal Grill Sanbu Shoten is an izakaya pub popular for its charcoal grilled yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and Japanese sake.

The recommended seats are the counter seats by the open kitchen. You can relax and take your time while watching the lively cooking scene unfold right in front of you.

The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) at this restaurant is said to be satisfyingly large on every skewer. They also use seasonal ingredients, and limited-time menu items sometimes appear.

Another nice point is that they grill everything after you order, so you can always enjoy it piping hot.

The "Rich W Four-Cheese Tsukune" served on a Teppan-yaki plate is a dish you can enjoy not just for the taste, but also for the look and the sound.

It generously uses four kinds of house-made cheese and has a rich flavor. The coarsely ground black pepper also comes through nicely.

rakkyo_chan

Every yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) and kushiyaki (grilled skewer) is carefully grilled, making for a lineup of great dishes where you can really taste the meat's flavor. The lineup of Japanese sake is also appealing, and it is nice that you can even enjoy rare labels.

らーめんまん001

Each skewer is carefully grilled one by one, with an excellent balance of smoky aroma and juicy texture that goes great with drinks. The yasai-maki (vegetable wrapped skewers) and classic skewers also really let the quality of the ingredients shine through, so you can hardly go wrong no matter what you order. Another nice point is that if you tell them what you like, they will suggest drinks to match, and you can also enjoy a tasting comparison.

Unagi (eel) Yakitori Gotanda Ufuku

Unagi Yakitori Gotanda Ufuku is a casual izakaya just a 1-minute walk from Gotanda Station on the JR Yamanote Line.

The restaurant has first and second floors, with table and counter seating available. It is easy to use for a wide range of occasions, from a quick drink after work to a Banquet.

A feature of the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) here is that they use unagi (eel) sauce. They offer standard menu items such as momo (chicken thigh), liver, and negima (chicken and scallion skewers).

The sauce has a thick texture and coats the chicken well. It has a nice level of sweetness and is said to be addictively good.

The grilled eel skewers come in a wide variety of cuts. After carefully removing the bones, they grill them so the skin turns crisp while the inside stays tender.

The "Shiro Tanzaku" is a dish of shirayaki (plain grilled eel) served with wasabi.

chaton___gourmet

Yakitori grilled with eel sauce. I went with bonjiri (chicken tail) and shiitake (shiitake mushroom)! I’m glad they also have vegetable skewers. Since it’s eel sauce, it has some thickness and coats the yakitori better than regular yakitori sauce. The rich bonjiri was great, of course, but the shiitake was plump and juicy‎

I had skewered unagi (eel) and yakitori (grilled chicken skewers). The unagi was soft and fluffy, with a rich flavor that made it really good. The yakitori liver was rich and silky, cut into large pieces, and very tasty......! The grilling was excellent, truly excellent.

Yakitori Shochan Gotanda Ten

"Yakitori Shochan Gotanda Ten" is a yakitori restaurant with great access, just a 1-minute walk from Gotanda Station on the JR Yamanote Line. They offer more than 80 kinds of drinks, including beer, Japanese sake, and cocktails.

It stays open until the next morning, so you can relax and take your time without worrying about the last train.

For the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), they use different Domestic branded chickens depending on the cut.

By grilling them all at once over binchotan (high-grade white charcoal), they bring out a pleasant bite and a nice charcoal aroma. Every skewer is said to be large and very filling.

Yakitori made with rare cuts such as soriresu (oyster cut) and tougarashi (part of the shoulder) also seems to be popular. They apparently change the seasoning to match the flavor profile of each cut.

The “chouchin (undeveloped egg yolks and oviduct)” in the photo is said to have an irresistible contrast between the creamy texture of the kinkan (undeveloped egg yolk) and the bite of the himo (oviduct).

marumu0606

Each yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) is high quality, and both the look and taste were Manzoku. The especially recommended reba-sashi (lightly seared chicken liver sashimi) stood out for its freshness and had a melt-in-your-mouth taste.

You really can’t go wrong with any of the recommended yakitori (grilled chicken skewers)! Since we wanted to eat them straight off the skewer, (Each) person ordered whatever they wanted. The joy of eating them fresh off the grill however you like...so nice.

en yakitori

En Yakitori is a yakitori izakaya (Japanese pub) located on the first floor of a building, about a 6-minute walk from Gotanda Station on the JR Yamanote Line.

The interior is a calm space with a cafe-like feel. In addition to table and counter seating, outdoor terrace seats are also available.

You can enjoy yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) finished over binchotan (high-grade charcoal). Experienced chefs carefully grill each skewer one by one with skilled technique.

They say the outside has a crisp texture, and the rich aroma of the charcoal really whets your appetite.

The “Parumijano Tsukune” is a yakitori skewer of tsukune (chicken meatball) grilled until plump, then topped with plenty of shaved cheese.

The tsukune is thick and very satisfying to eat. The crunchy texture of the nankotsu (cartilage) adds a nice accent.

I had yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), dashimaki tamago (rolled omelet with dashi), chicken nanban, and more, and every dish was really delicious! I think this is a place where you can order anything and leave Manzoku✨

Yakitori Ito

This yakitori specialty restaurant is a 3-minute walk from JR Yamanote Line Gotanda Station.

The stylish interior features a spacious counter, as well as a Private room that can accommodate up to 8 people. This restaurant is also recommended for Special days.

The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) uses jidori (local chicken) that is processed fresh that morning with great care for freshness. A skilled chef with many years of experience grills it over Kishu Binchozumi (Kishu binchotan charcoal).

Every cut is tender, and you can fully enjoy the rich concentrated flavor of the chicken.

All courses are served Omakase style, featuring the day's recommended yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and charcoal grilled seasonal vegetables.

Another draw is the thoughtful seasoning matched to each cut of yakitori, such as curry flavored cartilage and tsukune (chicken meatball) with aonori (green laver).

こはるんグルメ

The sasami (chicken tenderloin), cooked with just the right amount of heat so it was not too rare, had a soft and moist texture and was one of the signature dishes and very tasty. The small kobachi (side dishes) served as palate cleansers ranged from light options to ones that paired well with alcohol, so the meal never got boring. Everything was consistently good, so I ended up ordering extra without even thinking about it.

Yakitori Kinzan Gotanda Ten

Yakitori Kinzan Gotanda Ten, about a 3-minute walk from Gotanda Station, is a popular spot where you can enjoy yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and a la carte dishes in a Japanese modern setting.

There are table and counter seats.

The top recommendation is yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), finished on a custom-made grill. They use fresh jidori (local chicken) prepared in the morning and grill it over high-heat charcoal.

The "kawa" is said to have a good punch of salt and a nice crispy texture.

Their "Kinzan-yaki" here is an original yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) seasoned with a special miso sauce.

The sauce is on the sweet side, and part of its appeal is the sharp kick of heat that comes in after. It is said to be so good that you will want to order another.

Hokkaido Yakitori Itadaki Kokko-chan Gotanda Ten

Hokkaido Yakitori Itadaki Kokko-chan Gotanda Ten, located on the 6th floor of a building right by Gotanda Station on the JR Yamanote Line, is a popular spot where you can enjoy yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) along with a wide range of Hokkaido gourmet dishes.

The stylish wood toned interior is one of its charms. At night, you can even enjoy a beautiful night view through the windows.

All the chicken used for the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) is Domestic. They focus on freshness and carefully skewer it in-house.

They use salt made from deep ocean water off Shiretoko Rausu in Hokkaido, which brings out the chicken’s good flavor.

The signature tsukune (seasoned chicken meatball skewers) stands out for its blend of chicken and pork. By adding the umami of seafood such as kombu kelp and scallops as a hidden flavor, it is said to achieve a rich taste.

Some people also said the grilling is spot on, letting you enjoy both its fragrant aroma and tender texture.
