The main menu item is the "Classic Pancake." It is said to be made with wheat flour from Fukuoka Prefecture blended with stone-milled whole wheat flour, and soy milk.
The pancakes are said to be baked to a beautiful color and have a moist texture. They also recommend pairing them with hand-dripped coffee.

At Breakfast time, you can have a set of pancakes served with sausages and fruit, and at lunch, you can also enjoy pancakes paired with pudding and seasonal fruit.
This is a popular place and it gets busy even on weekdays, so it is a good idea to make a reservation.

As the name "Classic Pancake" suggests, these are not fluffy pancakes but have a firmer texture and a nice wheat flavor. I like this old-school kind of pancake. The sweetness is light, which makes it easy to see why the menu includes both savory and dessert options—they work well with either.

The Breakfast was really lovely and delicious. The coffee was good too. I thought the place might not be very big, but it went up to about the third floor, so it was more spacious than I expected and I could relax there.

bills Fukuoka is a cafe located in the western Nakasu area at the north end of the Naka River that runs through Fukuoka City, and it is open from morning to night, so you can stop by any time of day.
Originally from Sydney, Australia, this cafe is known for its bright, natural space where you can enjoy a comfortable time.

Healthy breakfasts with beautiful presentation are popular.
The signature item is the "ricotta pancakes." It is also one of the breakfast menu items, and you can enjoy it in the afternoon or at night as well. They are cooked light and fluffy, and because they are not too sweet, many people order them as a meal.
Photograph:21dd08
A reservation-only afternoon tea on the terrace with a view of the river is also recommended. It seems you can enjoy a British-style cafe time with scones and small sweets.
They also offer alcohol, light meals you can casually snack on, and a menu for children, so both adults and families can enjoy it.

Visited for breakfast. We ordered the pancakes and the full Aussie breakfast. As always, they were delicious. Among bills restaurants, this location has a particularly nice atmosphere. Great natural light, old books lined up on the shelves, and interior decor that makes you feel like you are abroad. I would like to come again someday.

The interior is bright, refined, and stylish. All the staff served us with warm smiles, which made the experience very pleasant! Every tea was delicious, and all the sweets, scones, and savory items were excellent too. Since the pancakes take 20 minutes to prepare, they asked us when we wanted them served when we ordered. So kind! As expected, the pancakes were amazingly good.

It seems to be bustling with people who come to enjoy the pancakes, which are said to look as good as they taste. The fluffy pancakes come in several varieties, including matcha and cheese flavors.
The "Shio Caramel to Nuts no Brulee Pancake" combines slight bitterness, sweetness, and a touch of salt in just the right balance.

They offer a full lineup of food commonly eaten in Oceania, including Australia and New Zealand, such as fish and chips, a classic Australian fast food dish. It also sounds perfect as a snack to go with drinks.
For drinks, they recommend coffees such as flat white, a famous milk coffee in Australia, and long black.
The brûlée pancakes were crisp on the surface, and the pancakes themselves were soft and fluffy. They just melted in my mouth✨Adding the salt on the spoon made them even better. That sweet-salty balance〜never gets old!!!!The brûlée pancakes looked heavy, but they were not rich at all, and I could finish them by myself♡

The specialty here is curry, served only on certain days of the week. With the theme of “curry you want to eat every day,” it is made with body-friendly seasonings such as koji (malted rice), vinegar, and spices.
There are about five kinds of curry, and you can choose one to three to enjoy with rice. People say the spice level is mild, making it easy to appreciate the good flavor of the ingredients.

They offer Japanese black tea made with Special tea leaves and drinks like chai, so you can enjoy cafe time with spice-forward sweets.
They also serve alcoholic drinks made with spice syrups such as clove and red pepper, so it seems you can use it like a bar as well.

Today’s curry plate came with nasu miso keema curry (eggplant miso keema curry), spicy chicken curry, and lentil curry. The salad was fresh, and the dressing was also very good. The curries were medium spicy overall, with just the right level of heat. The chicken was so tender it fell apart, and when mixed with the five spiced side dishes that came with it, the flavor became milder and the heat was toned down. These side dishes were especially delicious.

Koto is a hideaway-like cafe on the 6th floor of a building, about a 5-minute walk from Akasaka Station on the subway in Fukuoka, and it mainly serves nihoncha (Japanese tea).

The specialty is the "tea and onigiri (rice ball)" set, a menu item said to have been created from the asacha (morning tea) custom, which holds that drinking tea in the morning helps you avoid misfortune and brings good luck for the whole day.
The set includes Kyushu-grown rice cooked in a Clay Pot and made into onigiri, along with miso soup rich in dashi flavor and tea, and it is said to be a meal that leaves you feeling happy.
Photograph:67568f15926
The tea leaves used for the nihoncha (Japanese tea) come from the mountains of Nagasaki Prefecture, next to Fukuoka Prefecture. You can enjoy tea with a beautiful clear green color.
This tea and wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) set is available by reservation only. They also offer a style where you brew your own nihoncha using a kyusu (Japanese teapot) made just for Japanese tea.

・Tea and onigiri (rice balls)
These onigiri have an amazing aroma of rice, great umami, and a wonderful texture. On top of that, the dashimaki tamago (Japanese rolled omelet), nishime (simmered vegetables), daikon radish, sunomono (vinegared dish), nameko miso soup... every dish is wonderful. Each one is carefully made and impressively good. In particular, the dashimaki made with eggs from Itoshima was fluffy, juicy, and filled with overflowing dashi.

Every dish was just the kind of combination I like, with gentle seasoning, and it was all really delicious! I’d happily eat it every day. The tea was also mellow and tasty. The place feels like a stylish bar with dim lighting, so the contrast with the comforting food is striking, yet somehow it still feels relaxing in a pleasantly unexpected way. The staff were also very nice, and it’s a restaurant I’d love to visit again when I go to Fukuoka.

They use high quality matcha (powdered green tea) made from tea leaves grown in Uji, Kyoto. It is a single cultivar, single origin matcha with a rich taste and bright color.
The specialty is the "Matcha Tiramisu." It is served in a wooden masu (square wooden cup), filled with tiramisu and topped with matcha powder. People say the gentle bitterness comes through nicely within the sweetness.
Photograph:bd513a
You can drink matcha (powdered green tea) straight, and they also have shakes and lattes sweetened with matcha.
They also serve hojicha (roasted green tea) and black tea made with tea leaves from Fukuoka Prefecture. Instead of a teapot, the tea comes in a tetsubin (cast-iron kettle), which adds a nice sense of Japanese charm.

The interior is spacious with a calm atmosphere. This is a place where you can enjoy tea and matcha sweets. I recommend the matcha tiramisu, but today I came alone for lunch lol. I ordered the kurobuta (Berkshire pork) grated daikon Hamburger Steak Gozen set. You can choose either white rice or brown rice. The Hamburger Steak was tender, and the other side dishes also had a gentle, healthy seasoning, with the miso soup being especially good.

I ordered matcha tiramisu, warabi-mochi (bracken starch dumpling), and mitarashi milk shaved ice. Both the matcha tiramisu and the warabi-mochi had plenty of matcha on top, so they had a nice bitterness that paired well with the sweetness inside. The mitarashi milk shaved ice tasted like milk flavored shaved ice with a slightly sweet and salty mitarashi sauce.

They also have Hand Omurice, which is like a crepe you can eat while walking around.

When you cut into the soft and fluffy egg with a knife, the runny egg flows out, and when it mixes with the rich demi-glace sauce, it tastes amazing. The beef stew Omurice is highly recommended. There is no doubt that this is a relaxing space. THE ALLDAY ORTO is a cafe restaurant with an in-house cheese workshop, located on the first floor of Connect Square Hakata, about a 3-minute walk from the Chikushi Exit of Hakata Station.
The bright, casual space is centered around green tones. You can stop by any time from morning to night.

They offer dishes made with ingredients from Fukuoka Prefecture, along with coffee and wine from popular shops in Fukuoka.
The French toast for breakfast comes with freshly made cheese from the attached cheese workshop. It also pairs well with a drink made with Amaou (Fukuoka strawberries), a Fukuoka specialty.

The “Carrot Cake,” made with carrots from Fukuoka and blended with spices, is popular. It features a frosting with herbs and walnuts.
They also serve caffeine-free tea from Fukuoka Prefecture and sodas made with green tea from Fukuoka Prefecture, making it a perfect place to take a break while sightseeing.

It looks a little different from that simple image of carrot cake. At first I thought, is there salad on top…? The frosting also has walnuts and a fresh note like herbs✨️The cake itself is mildly sweet, with a light hint of spice. The clean taste of the tea latte and the carrot cake make the best combination

I had some time before noon, so I stopped by. The interior was spacious with a relaxing atmosphere, and a really nice smell of baking bread drifted over from the open kitchen. I ordered lemonade, but next time I’d like to try the brunch, lunch, and sweets too. It was also easy to visit solo, and conveniently within walking distance of Hakata Station.

Nangoku Fruit Parlor is a cafe popular for its menu made with fresh fruit, located about a 2-minute walk from Nishitetsu Fukuoka Station on the second floor of the Kego Jinja Shamusho Building.
The calm interior, based around white tones, is said to be a relaxing space with plenty of sofa seating. On nice days, the terrace seats overlooking the grounds of Kego Jinja (Kego Shrine) are also recommended.

The main menu features parfaits made with plenty of fruit. Many are seasonal parfaits that highlight fruits at their best during that time of year.
You can enjoy flavors that balance the fruit’s sweetness and acidity, making the most of the flesh and juice and pairing them with cream, ice cream, caramel, and more.

There are also set menus with salad that combines vegetables and fruit, along with pasta and gratin. The French toast and a plate with an assortment of more than 10 kinds of fruit are also popular.
Reviews also say you can take your time and enjoy tasty sweets in the hideaway-like atmosphere inside the shrine.

I went in right when it opened and sat where I could look out over Kego Jinja (Kego Shrine) and Kego Koen (Kego Park). It’s a wonderfully spacious place with a great view. The peach in the parfait was cut into fairly large pieces, so I had to open wide and got a mouthful of peach flavor. The sweetness and juice were amazing♪ As I kept eating, the raspberry made it nice and refreshing!

ジンリィ
Located within the grounds of Kego Jinja (Kego Shrine), this spot is relatively uncrowded, a hidden gem where you can relax and enjoy a slow time. We ordered the banana and citrus caramel parfait and a mini parfait tasting comparison. For the mini parfait, you can choose 2 from 4 or 5 varieties. We picked Fruit and Ringo (apple). It was fun just choosing too!! As you would expect from a fruit shop, the fruit was very fresh and delicious.

Stong Cafe Meinohama Honten is about a 4-minute walk from Meinohama Station, a cafe in a residential neighborhood that is well known for its tasty house-roasted specialty coffee.
The glass-walled interior is a bright space filled with natural light. It also has terrace seating, and people say you can relax and spend your time there.

It seems many people come here when they want to spend a relaxing lunch time. At lunch, the pasta is popular, and you can choose from about four kinds.
On sunny days, many people spend time on the terrace seats, and some also read or work inside the cafe.
For hand-drip coffee, you can choose the beans, and they also have clear, refreshing cold-brew iced coffee.
It also looks like a great place to spend cafe time with their rich homemade pudding and soft oven-baked pancakes.
博多ぽこぽこ
Since this cafe has no time limit during lunch, it’s convenient to drop by anytime, whether you want a light bite or to relax and enjoy a slow cafe time. The pasta all looked great too! Today I had the fettuccine bolognese and a hot coffee. I added mascarpone cheese for ➕100円. That was definitely the right call!

Angie is a cafe bar on the 1st floor of Hakata Riverain Mall, a commercial complex near Nakasu-Kawabata Station. You can also enjoy a meal here, and the alcohol menu is extensive.
The open terrace seats facing the Hakata River are said to let you fully enjoy a resort-like mood. At night, you can also look out at the lights of the buildings on the opposite bank.

Open from morning to night, this place can be used throughout the day, and some people seem to relax here over the signature pizza and a glass of wine.
The Roman style pizza baked in a dedicated pizza oven is also said to be very good. You can also enjoy it as a set with a soft drink or coffee.

The open-faced sandwiches served casually on the terrace come with salad, making them good both as a meal and as a snack.
A little away from the busy downtown area, it is also a good place to spend a relaxed cafe time.

There are seats both inside and on the terrace, and if the season and weather line up, the outdoor seats are highly recommended. Even though it is in the middle of the city, the riverside setting offers scenery that feels unique to Fukuoka, and since there is not that much foot traffic, you will not feel self-conscious even if you are drinking alone.

We visited because we also wanted to enjoy that slightly Special and luxurious time. The menu items like Margherita and kiln-baked cheese Napolitan also looked really delicious♡At night, it feels like the atmosphere would grow even deeper. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again on a whim.

The popular option is the reservation-only afternoon tea. The theme changes several times a year to match the season or special events, and you can enjoy a stylish set of colorful sweets and light bites.
The free-flow drinks include coffee and tea, and it gets good reviews as a great way to spend a relaxing afternoon.

You can also enjoy hotel-made lunches such as curry and pasta. They also offer special seasonal lunch options.
You can stop by between sightseeing and order just drinks or cake. They also have juice made with vegetables and fruits from Fukuoka Prefecture.

The chocolate afternoon tea was a luxurious spread that let you fully enjoy the appeal of cacao. It featured rich yet refined sweets that were not overly sweet, such as ganache, mousse, and chocolate tart, and each item offered a different cacao aroma and texture. The savory items were also included in a well-balanced assortment, so you can enjoy it to the very end without getting tired of it.
