Meshi-dokoro We-no-Wi

Meshidokoro E-no-i is a 3-minute walk from Hommachi Station, and in its nostalgic interior renovated from a warehouse, you can enjoy rice cooked in a custom-made Clay Pot.

They also serve Special natural wine and craft shochu (Japanese distilled spirit), so you can also use it as an izakaya (Japanese pub).

Yakitori, vegetables, and grilled fish cooked over Domestic binchotan (high grade charcoal) are popular here. The interior is said to be filled with a nice smoky aroma.

The yakitori is served without skewers. It gets high marks for its tender texture and great taste.

The kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot) made in a custom order clay pot is excellent. They cook it only after you order, so the rice comes out plump and fluffy.

They use Koshihikari rice from Maizuru, Kyoto Prefecture. One nice point is the wide variety on offer.

高井 律明

This izakaya has a nice atmosphere and focuses on sumiyaki (charcoal grilling) and Clay Pot rice♪You can feel the care and good taste in both the exterior and interior, and the tableware and presentation are beautiful too!The food is very delicious, and the service is polite, making this a really pleasant place!!

Ojisan and Japanese sake

Ojisan to Nihonshu is about a 5-minute walk from Hommachi Station and is a popular spot where you can enjoy 30〜50 kinds of Japanese sake and dishes that pair well with the drinks.

The interior has a calm and comfortable feel. They offer counter seats where you can enjoy chatting with the owner, as well as table seating for Banquets.

There are about 50 kinds of Japanese sake always on the menu. The dishes that pair well with Japanese sake and the All you can drink course for Japanese sake are also popular.

The daikon radish in the sakakasu (sake lees) oden is full of flavor, and it is said to be a perfect match for Japanese sake.

They offer a lineup of classic izakaya dishes that pair perfectly with Japanese sake.

The "Hoju Buta Rosu Katsu (pork loin cutlet)" is said to be so fresh that it can even be eaten rare because it has very little bacteria. The fat is light, which makes it easy to eat.

The staff were also wonderful and very kind. There were about 60 kinds of Japanese sake at this sake bar, the selection was very high quality, and every one I tried was delicious. The food was all a great match for Japanese sake, and it was tasty too. I’d definitely like to go again.

Tamaki

Tamaki, about a 9-minute walk from Hommachi Station, is a restaurant where the knowledgeable owner shows his skill with Japanese sake and seafood dishes as the main focus.

The interior, based on white and black tones, has a chic and stylish atmosphere, and you can enjoy your meal at a relaxed pace.

The menu offers course meals only, designed so you can enjoy pairings of the food and Japanese sake, and the "Suppon Course," which lets you casually try suppon (soft-shelled turtle), is available only through online reservation.

The starter, "suppon chawanmushi (savory steamed egg custard with soft-shelled turtle)," is said to be full of gelatin and to have delicious dashi.

The "Shuko Set" is a course where you can enjoy 5 dishes and 5 kinds of Japanese sake, and the menu changes from month to month.

Many groups of Japanese sake lovers look forward to seeing what food and sake pairings will be offered that month and gather here regularly.

yooopy225

The ingredients are carefully prepared after you order, and the harihari-nabe (whale meat and mizuna Hot Pot) is filled with plenty of whale meat and mizuna (potherb mustard), with a gentle seasoning that lets the dashi soak through. The combination of easy-to-eat whale with no strong distinctive flavor and crisp mizuna is excellent. It also pairs perfectly with Japanese sake, and the staff kindly suggested pairings.

This time, hamo (pike conger) and suppon (soft-shelled turtle) were the big winners! It started with chilled suppon chawanmushi, then came sashimi, Hot Pot, a fried assortment, grilled on a ceramic plate, and zosui that we added just one serving of. It was seriously the best that all of this even came with paired Japanese sake! I really do love this place〜

This izakaya (Japanese pub) has an absolutely great atmosphere. I went with a friend! The staff were lively and wonderful too. I recommend the counter seats. They grill the food right in front of you, so even the wait is a lot of fun! There are lots of items on the menu, so I want to keep coming back and try more of them! I’ll be back again.

Miyazaki Kyodo Ryori Dogyan Honten

Centered on yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), Miyazaki Kyodo Ryori Dogyan Honten serves Miyazaki local dishes and is located on the second floor of the Ebisu Center Building, a 5-minute walk from Hommachi Station.

They offer zashiki (tatami seating), table seating, and counter seating, so you can use it to suit the occasion.

Their specialty, momo sumibiyaki (charcoal grilled chicken thigh), uses jidori (free-range local chicken) from Miyazaki Prefecture and is cooked over high heat charcoal, which locks in the flavor.

It has a striking jet-black appearance, but it is said to be juicy and delicious.

The à la carte menu has all the standard izakaya dishes, but a popular way to finish the meal is the "Takaiida chuka soba (Takaiida-style Chinese noodles)" made with a carefully crafted soy sauce soup.

The dark-looking soup has sweetness and umami, yet the taste is clean and light.

えのもとよしのり

From "momo sumibiyaki" made by boldly grilling Miyazaki Prefecture chicken over charcoal, to "chicken nanban" with its combo of sweet vinegar sauce and tartar sauce, and even "Takaita-fu Chuka Soba" featuring a rich soy sauce soup slowly simmered with chicken bones, whole chicken, momiji (chicken feet), and Rishiri kombu kelp, this place is perfect for a casual drink after work or a full Banquet.

The restaurant offers a wide range of standard izakaya dishes that go well with drinks. You can choose either à la carte or a course meal.

The restaurant is equipped with TVs, so you can enjoy drinks while watching sports.

The house specialty, the “otsukuri (sashimi) Hyoyama assortment 5 kinds,” is served with one piece of each item per person.

Each piece of sashimi is thick and satisfying, and one nice point is that you can enjoy seasonal fish.

The "maguro (tuna) rare cut assortment," limited to just 3 groups per day, features unusual cuts that most people do not normally get to try, making it a fun experience.

Reviews especially praise the noten (top of the head) for being rich with fat and having a deep flavor that keeps you coming back for more.

にゃがのすけ

The main draw at this place is the "All you can drink" option. What makes it a little different from other places is that you pour the drinks yourself. You set the beer on the server, and highballs work in a similar way. That kind of system is fairly common up to that point, but the difference here is that with Japanese sake and shochu, you can take whatever brand you like in an isshobin (1.8L bottle) from the fridge and pour as much as you want into your glass or tokkuri (sake flask).

Cheap and great!! Even with my friend, who drinks a lot, having 4 drinks and me having 3, for two people it came to about 4500 with 5 dishes. The value for money is way too good... Since it’s popular, you’ll probably need a reservation. There are also a lot of groups. There are tables and zashiki (tatami seating). The fresh grilled liver was delicious. The plum sauce also went well with the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers). I was too full for the tartar sauce with plum flavor, so I just ate the sauce on its own. It was delicious.

This restaurant serves tasty yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) with ume (Japanese plum) flavor. The ume was not too sour and had a light taste that made it easy to eat, and even I, who do not usually like ume flavor that much, enjoyed it. They also have regular yakitori that is not ume flavored.

Jidori (local chicken) to Tori Dashi Oden (oden simmered in chicken broth) Takajin Minamisemba Ten

"Jidori to Toridashi Oden Takajin Minamisemba Ten" is a popular spot for Daisen Jidori and oden simmered in chicken broth, about a 7-minute walk from Hommachi Station and near Namba Jinja (Namba Shrine).

The interior has an Asian-style feel. The 1st and 2nd floors have counter and table seating, and the 3rd floor is equipped with a fully private room for Private reservation only.

The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) are cooked to just the right doneness and use Daisen Jidori, known for its tender texture. They also offer rare cuts.

The chicken has just the right amount of fat rendered out, giving it a juicy taste that pairs very well with alcohol.

The course meals come with All you can drink, so they are popular for letting you fully enjoy both the drinks and the food.

The oden, made with a broth that combines the rich flavor of chicken with kombu kelp and bonito flakes, can be served as an Omakase assortment to match your budget.

I visited because I was craving oden (Japanese hot pot dish). The atmosphere was nice and very comfortable! Is it unusual for oden to come with sesame seeds on top? I felt like it was, but the broth had soaked in and it was really delicious♪

Since there is a second floor, they can almost always fit a fairly large group. The food is good, of course, but more than anything, what stood out most was that the staff were exactly what you hope for in a restaurant. Thanks to how capable the staff were, it turned into a great drinking party.
