Aomori-sourced mackerel and fresh-bought Bachi tuna from Tsukiji Fish Market are just a few of the fish dishes recommended with confidence by a fish shop that has been around for over 30 years. The tu...na sushi lunch, packed with tuna, is a hit with kids and will make you think twice about going to conveyor belt sushi. For those looking for a healthy option, the tempura set meal is highly recommended, featuring seasonal white cod along with fresh local vegetables.
The owner is particular about the ingredients as well. The fluffy white rice is made from a blend of 50% Hitomebore and 50% Haenuki rice from Yamagata's Shonai region. The rich sashimi soy sauce is directly sourced from Kyushu, and the miso used in the miso soup is also imported from there. The warm miso soup, made with precious white miso that costs five times the market price, perfectly complements the fish dishes and set meals.
They also take pride in their selection of shochu and sake, including the dry Junmai from Takashimizu in Akita. Most of the menu is available for takeout. The handmade bento, featuring thick grilled egg and other ingredients, is priced at JPY 750. Feel free to drop by with your family or friends!
