In the back streets of Hiroshima's bustling nightlife district, Nagarekawa, stands Shirataka, a traditional kaiseki restaurant that has been serving customers for about 60 years. The name comes from i...ts predecessor, a general store established during the Taisho era, which originally sold sake from Nada called "Shirataka." It is said that the first owner personally visited the Nada sake brewery to request the name. Today, Shirataka continues to feature this sake alongside local Hiroshima brews.
